An Jiu transmigrated into a wuxia novel, becoming the vicious female supporting character in “A Sword of Flying Frost.” She was also bound to a system that required her to conquer the second male lead in order to return home.

I don't even know how to begin—one of my all time favorite underrated novels I've read in months.

To begin, the FL isn't naïve or innocent in any sort of way. She's smart, strong & conniving in so many different ways to the point where I'm excited what her next scheme is. She's a natural born actor and you'll see this in so many ways through the novel as she tricks, deceives and plays all her cards right.

If you feel bad for the ML—don't. He's probably just as crazy of a... more>> lunatic as you'd expect (except he's probably better at hiding it). His main goal throughout the story is surviving because of a poison running through his body and in order to live, it involves something with killing our FL (though I won't spoil what it is), whilst our FL's is returning back to her own world by raising ML's favorability to 100.

I have yet to finish the novel & my review probably doesn't do it justice, but I promise you this is a must read.

[Also, the Translator is probably one of the most interactive translators I've seen with their audience, so if you're always looking to post a comment on her page I'd really recommend it.]

Edit: I've just completed the novel, and oh my gosh it's so great. I was a bit sad with the ending, but then I waited awhile for the extra's to be posted and now I understand why it's an HE (Happy Ending). It truly is one of my favorites and I would recommend to check it out. <<less

I am giving 5* for amazing translation, amazing characters and good enough plot.

But I hated it.

Loved first half, hated second and that bad taste just haven't left even after Extra chaps. This should be labeled tragedy, dark and there were really questionable scenes later.

ML was just sick psycho later and some stuff he did was just wrong. Understandable maybe, given his character setting, wrong nevertheless. He tortured and forced MC several times. Just no.

MC was just coldblooded, manipulative b*tch. It was dressed as doing good for ML, and before that just her protecting herself, and was in line with her character setting, but she was just cruel.

Usually I quite like these types of characters. But this story was so well written that seeing main leads tearing each other like rabid dogs made me feel sick to my stomach. The whole second half of the book just made me ill. Not mentioning ending - that was just heartbreaking. Tragedy tag worthy.

If there weren't extra stories after main, I woudl probably really regret reading this. So technically it is HE with extras, but I am too bruised by chaps before them to really appreciate it.

Honestly, despite the ending, I really don't want to call this novel a romance. I can believe the ML loved the MC but I find it very, very unbelievable that the MC truly loves him. She spends 90% of the novel just lying to him and treating him like a job. Even at the climax and the author is trying to make us believe she has fallen in love, you can't really see it. I've seen some very interesting messy double lying plots, but this one is so overly dramatic,... more>> it's hard to really like either of the main characters.

The ending was rushed, lots of plot holes left unanswered, and basically all of the other characters ended up just being cardboard cut outs for stage decoration. <<less

Highly highly recommend this novel. This needs to be rated higher than it is currently. The translater (thank you latte and milk) has done an excellent job of translating (5 stars for just that)

the FL is cunning and decisive, and doesn't have "love ends all" behaviour. The ML is a proper villain. The love and their views on love based on their upbringing is actually quite realistic.

both of them are not naive, and very Manipulative. I admire the FL as her calculative behaviour is a league of its own

I love this story so much and the translations was really good. I cried while reading it and I ended up liking every character in the book. It was never a dull read and I am a total sucker for the bratty girl x yandere simp dynamic so it was AWESOME

I'm still savoring the aftertaste after finishing this story.

I enjoy the journey so much!! I have a good fun reading this. Love the dynamic between An Jiu and Pei Ji.

Sometimes, I feel pity towards Pei Ji, but If I think from An Jiu's perspective, it is make sense. I won't live pass chapter one had I been on An Jiu's place.

It's truly rare to find a good yandere story with a happy ending this fulfilling. Ahhh I still want to enjoy the journey of An Jiu and Pei Ji's liveeee

a gem! a masterpiece!! superb translation that really gets me so involved im the novel I dont wanna get out!!

i finished this at 2am teary-eyed because YES it's a HE!! up til the very end, it felt like a BE but dont worry it's a HE with some torturous angst!

if you like to torture yourself and love reading angst where a massive amount of ML yearning, please pick up this novel!! it has great plot!! very VERY clever and scheming leads which makes it very enjoyable since very few novels... more>> deep dive into it...

i prefer light plot and a good chunk of romance (very hatd to find a good one) so I'm sooooo blessed to have found this by chance which is 100% completed and EXCELLENT translations!!!!

give this novel a chance— you wont regret it!!! <<less

honestly I cannot believe how good this is and how it seems to be not so popular when it is actually such a unique chinese novel.

Honestly I was attracted to the novel because of the translation page. I came across "My Darling Coax me " through the translators page and it became one of my favourite novels so I was watching out for their other works.

That's where I found this novel and have been waiting for it to be complete. And sure enough it did not disappoint.

The story, the characters...... more>> the male lead... my favourite kind of male lead. But the show stopper was the female lead. A breath of fresh air. It was surprising and not so surprising as well because I was familiar with the MC from MDCM. But she was better. Her cunningness and the way she played and held her own with the male lead.

I cried so much near the end sometimes out of sadness but then out of such happiness. in many ways I agreed how she ended it in the xianxia. If it was me, I would have also made the same decision.

I tend to avoid xianxia sort of settings but this was great. I cannot thank the translator enough for giving me such a good book to get lost in.. <<less

Enemies to lovers.

Highly smart and rational individuals playing a love game, scheming against each other, thinking they're manipulating the other, when in fact they're the one being manipulated, always a step ahead of the other - it's so much fun to read to see one of them trying to outsmart the other. It's so good - a battle of wits and acting.

I see a lot of reviews complaining about how cold and calculating MC is and that her feelings for ML aren't as deep but actually that's very in character... more>> of her though. The author constantly reminds us that MC is a very rational business minded person who doesn't lose sight of her goals. Let's not forget, ML is a red flag through and through. He had a miserable life but that doesn't mean the world owes him. Even if his love for her was truly pure, he is still mentally unstable and unhinged but MC is not - she is a child from a peaceful modern world, she cares about the world, the people she met and befriended, she still has her principles. There's no way she forgets and forgives what he did, and what he made her do against her will. Along with the fact that their love was doomed to begin with (no worries it's a HE), she wouldn't allow herself to fully let go and fall for him with no worries.

This is my first time reading about a novel with an MC that wishes to return to her world (which is very valid - she has a great life and a loving grandpa), it's realistic. Even if she didn't want to return, she couldn't have possibly stayed either, there was no future for them. ML is fated to die unless he has s*x with another woman and said woman has to die in exchange too. MC despises betrayal, just like any other woman in the world, she wouldn't want her man to be touched by another woman (plus she's also mildly mysophobic, she won't touch what others have already touched). And also an innocent woman would have to die in his stead which is also unacceptable.

It's so messed up. Doomed pair of star crossed lovers. The angst was angst-ing, cried like a baby at 2 AM.

Wasted 125 chapters only to have the romance in the extras

FMC isnt my type lol. ML is alright and highkey pitiful, idk why the author kept on saying theyre making him suffer. He literally only had the typical villain package (killing people, living for himself, etc) and somehow he has to suffer over that. Idk I didnt like it lmao

The 125 chapters felt like such a slog for me. I wouldve preferred seeing their development over that amount of friggin word counts but no. It's all the same situations with... more>> FMC trying to make him fall in love with her and getting back to her own world.

It's okay if you like system novels where the FMC successfully does their mission. However, I was here for the male yandere romance, which I didn't get unfortunately. The ML was the perfect ML for me bc of his villain package but the author didn't like that despite writing him like that. Lol. Pisses me off.

As a connoisseur of "female lead transmigrates and falls in love with male yandere and matches his freak", I can say that this novel is getting a 2 star for me. If you like it, that's fine, it just didn't suit my taste. It has the Male Yandere tag, but it's the disappointing type of novel with the Male Yandere tag 😔💔 My precious yandere bby was so hated by the author idek why she made him that way only to hate on him. If u want to write a modern feel good romance with cold MC x puppy ML why not just write that. Wasted my time with the 125 chapters.

Ps. Final encounter at 100 pts was the only thing I was satisfied with. I liked how

the author made the FMC spill the beans with the ML. Just wished it was something in the middle, where the ML and MC realize each other's true feelings outside of acting, then gets actual development rather than having to read FMC's schemes the entire book

This novel is good at being a dog blood drama but a bad romance. Even till the end of the novel everything the FL does feel calculated and cold, and I have a hard time believing she even loves him.

very funny (at first) “born into a novel” novel but by the end - also very meaningful. Main point - be the real you in a relationship and let your partner choose, don’t choose for them. Excellently translated.

A funny little aside about the lead’s cousin - I was sure that’s who the woman in the Medicine Valley would be! Maybe she was! Ha!

I really don't like fl, all along she just see that ML is big boss villain but the fact that she manipulate his feelings so completely just make me hate her. The time when he ask her to kill that monk but she manipulate the situation to save that monk, I just feel like, hey ML just behead that monk and give his head to her to accompany her. Well she was the one that mislead ML to think that she like the monk, so why not just give him to her? :) Anyway ML won't be this dark if she didn't constantly manipulate him.

Well I know that she need to reach 100 affection but she just cruel, throughout the story I didn't know when or which is acting and which is her real self, everything looks fake.
