I have mtl-ed this novel. Overall, after other than a few angsty chapters (due to some misunderstandings), the story is mainly fluff.

Honestly, it would've easily gone the tragedy route if those misunderstandings remained unresolved. The misunderstandings about why they got separated were mild (and got fixed quite fast), but when they met again, new misunderstandings were created. This is especially prevalent when the MC realized her feelings for the fl.

Basically, the MC believes that the FL is straight (despite the glaring rainbow vibes). Meanwhile, the FL is too scared to confess so she thought it would be good idea to test the waters by going on a blind date a dude (sad dude btw, his unrequited love was the one who recommended him this blind date). This led the MC to solidify her belief that the FL is straight. It was a pretty painful few chaps ngl because it kinda hits close to home in real-life homo-tragedies.

Other than that painfully realistic arc that could've gone fokking bad in real life, it was fluffy. The dynamic between the two is pretty sweet, and I like their interactions (nothing toxic with their relationship which is pretty refreshing). The MC is down-to-earth despite being rich while the FL tries to make do despite her strict upbringing. There are some cannon fodders here and there, but they only serve as good face-slaps lawl.

This is all fluff. A good read if you just came off a really heavy story and want some sweetness.

Don't expect much story-wise though. Every problem is wrapped up in a neat little bow, and there are few conflicts to begin with.

Even the issue of why they became distant in the first place. It was a small misunderstanding that got solved quick.

Honestly it's a 4.5 for me because it was a little hard for to really get into the story at first and it took me a few tries but eventually I did properly sit down and read the story and was satisfied. Once you hit chapter 10 onwards it's just such a satisfying story.

Its sweet and isn't too dramatic so an overall easy read that took me a day to finish in total.

This was basically a drama−free and fluffy novel. The misunderstanding of the Ye Kehuan and Jiang Laien should have been quickly solved once they met again when JLE made an effort to join both the reality show and movie so that she can be together with her crush. But it was simply dragged out in order to accommodate more contents of the shows, tv series, and films being discussed.

This series depicted a certain groups of individuals who measured things and people alike based on money and the brand names they... more>> carry; the more expensive stuffs they can put on their body, the superior they feel (whether or not those clothes and accessories match). The contexts and scenarios written really show their ostentatious behaviors in flaunting their wealth to deliberately look down on others. However, the moment they encountered the filthy rich, they became a true example of ‘an empty can makes the loudest noise.’

A drawback of this novel would be the redundant bits and pieces of minor supporting characters, who were only mentioned once or twice and didn’t contribute anything to the story as a whole. For example, who was that close sister of JLE mentioned in the beginning, who was the best friend who work as a designer, who was the friend went with them to the KTV. The most brutal of them all was the chapter where JLE’s father appeared and was treated like air, coupled with the funny and understanding grandpa. Everything was just so rush and unnecessary. In addition, many paragraphs and descriptions invested for Chen Lulu and her crush, and what became of them?

All in all, this is a light, fluffy, and almost conflict−free novel to read; but the content is shallow. <<less

It's a fluff based story. One of the only good thing is that neither of the female leads are impervious or too powerful. The story mostly focuses on the two girls and not so much on other parts. While I am happy that they came out so soon, I do feel realistically the reaction was a bit strange cause the author didn't acknowledge any back lash at all. It gets a bit boring cause there is hardly any conflict but overall it's a sweet story.
