This novel consisted of three short stories. It's smut genre but all the stories were good and really full of emotions. As the synopsis said, there will be BE and HE.

The ML chose his 1st love that looked identical to FL. Later on, he realized that he loved FL more and 1st love also again betrayed him... but he discovered his cancer. He retired and went away from the city, he was surprised FL visiting him and later on realized that she's pregnant with his kid. The FL then forgave her and they lived again together. Aftewards, FL gave birth to their kid until he died (before the kid turned 1 year old). I love the emotional and mental strength of FL here.

• 2nd story (chp 11-20) : Ji Yan (ML) x Shen Wan (FL) - sweet couple with a twist (my fav)

The leads have been together for so long and even knew each other since childhood. When the ML prepared a surprise (proposal) for FL's birthday, they faced a major tragedy. A hitman tried to kill ML but FL saved him & took the hit/died. The ML can't move on and even tried to use supernatural means (rhino horn) to connect with ghost FL while trying to make her stay with him. In the end, FL chose to leave bc she wanted ML to move on and it's noticeable he started to become recluse & solitary. He knew that FL would leave anytime but when finally separated... it hinted that ML also unalived himself by poisoning in the last chapter.

• 3rd story (chp 21-28) : Tang Anze (ML) x Qin Wan (FL) - love at first sight

It's a HAPPY ENDING. This is a good way to end the novel in happy end. However, compare to previous two stories... this one was really felt shorter.

ML saw FL and then fell in love at 1st sight... afterwards, they saw again each other at airplane ride wherein FL saw him for first time. It's simple beginning of their love story. No complications and easy read.

first arc : MC found out that she is just a body double for ML'S first love. They broke up then ML regretted it. ML got cancer and got back together w MC. They had a child then ML died.

Second arc : MC is actually a ghost, ML can't let go of her so they live together as a humanxghost couple. My first time reading a humanxghost smexy scene. In the end, ML offed himself so they could be together.

Third arc : ML falls in love at first sight and decided to pursue MC. Kinda boring tbh

First two stories are tragedy, last one is sweet AF. Like one commenter on the foxaholic page said, the last story was the cream on top of the bitter coffee.
