I just don't really like the MC. The author was going for aloof and unbound by worldly affairs, but the MC just reads as selfish and a bit of a sociopath.

Like, when he is saving the king from poison, it's implied that he could completely heal him, but he doesn't because he doesn't want to waste his potions, and their friendship isn't on a "level" for him to use them.

First of all, it takes him literally no effort to get those potions, he gets them by signing in, which he has been doing for 10 years. He's got to have tons at this point.

Second, he's know the king for 10 years, since before he was king. The king treats him very well and has been nothing but friendly. He has a close relationship with the king's children. And this is not a deep enough friendship? The MC never leaves the library! The king is literally his ONLY friend. What a sociopath.

Third, the country is on the verge of destruction, with a rebellion breaking out. If the king dies, there will only be a 12 year old prince. That is more than enough reason to help out. (Especially when it would barely cost the MC anything).

And on that note, while usually I like MCs who don't always get dragged into conflicts and focus on their own strengthening, this MC is taking that way too far! Like, war is breaking out and people are dying! The MC is super powerful. And even when the rebels are making it to the capital, he waits until tons of people die before waltzing in and essentially defeating everyone.

If it is that easy for you, then letting all those people die is horrible! And he only seems to have done anything because he didn't want his peaceful life at the library to be disturbed.

The MC does not really deserve the power he has. It would almost be better if he was just straight up villainous. Instead he is just apathetic to the point that he's basically immoral. And when the MC doesn't care about anything, it's hard for me to care as a reader. I found this story disappointing. <<less

Once it got to chapter 245, sh*t hit the fan; the novel went from carefree OP MC to actual-sh*t MC OP. They only share the same name.

I recommend reading the 245 chapters that the novel started with, it was pretty fun, and the MC gets to be quite le*d with some R18 scenes that somehow managed to escape censorship.

The beginning is kinda like top tier providence where the MC cultivates while maintaining a low profile but in this novel, the cultivation is extremely fast and the MC be like"I'm in a library maintaining a low profile and cultivating", there's a timeskip, and boom he's invincible, even if MC goes to fight enemies, he wins hands down and timeskip again like straight after, the plot is completely unpredictable and not in a good way, also I don't recommend reading more than 100 chapters, MC becomes a s*x maniac and... more>> a rather s*upid one at that, his harem keeps growing until at one point he creates a new world for exactly no reason at all, after he creates the new world the old one is forgotten, then MC reincarnates and becomes weak, he reincarnated to merge his heart of light and darkness but he wouldn't need to do that if he didn't create that new world, its mentioned that several lei luo's had failed but what exactly was their goal, world domination? Wasn't he already a god before he reincarnated, I don't really understand the plot in the second half of this novel, the plot becomes distorted and confusing, in the end, he destroys magic and becomes the last mage god but why did he destroy magic, the reason isn't given, it all doesn't add up, this novel is confusing, I don't recommend reading it. <<less

It's a novel for people who look for chill out (its not normal action type, its more about tranquility). MC is 99% time in library. He is Hiden OP MC (monk type) who wish for simple life, the only break from magic is when he is helping the kingdom out of concern for his friends. If anyone has link to machine translation plz post.

This novel was fairly good at first. It's hard to find decent novels similar to this, where the main character is overpowered and relatively reclusive, like other sign ins.

However, the longer this novel goes on the more and more the author talks about s*x. It eventually turns into a R18 novel where the main character has a giant harem.

At one point the main character literally creates a world and proceeds to create a bunch of beautiful goddesses just so he can have s*x with them. Atleast, as far as I can tell, since there was no actual benefit for him to do any of this.

Overall, decent start, novel quickly degenerates into the same uninteresting loop. The only thing the author does to spice the novel up is add more s*x. Would not recommend.

The King was not really a friend. He just wanted the MC to listen to him when he wanted to confide his troubles to a random strange who wouldn’t reveal his secrets.

The King threatened to kill the MC every time if he dared to tell others.

It was fair how the MC had saved his life and even extended it later in the story. He owed him nothing.

The MC was an Otaku who spent most of his time as a shut in. So it was understandable why he was a hermit and not out there to save the world. In general when he came out of seclusion he would save the world and protected the innocents.

The story is banned or at least removed from Qidian. The author continues to write the story but he is not a particular good writer. Very disjointed and do not spent enough time building the world setting. The 21 year old MTL translator based in UK hardly help with the story. Just correct some grammar and not bother to read the story.

In the later part of the story after around 230. The author does a reset as he runs out of idea to continue the story. Removed the old cast and replaced with a new one. Even more disappointing by changing the whole setting.

Reason why this story got banned is because of the X-Rated content. The author seemed to let loose in later chapters after failing to maintain a good audience.

Stay clear of this novel. <<less

Hilariously bad. Is the MC some kind of "don't kill people" guy who walks into an invader's camp to try to persuade (literally persuade by talking) them into going away (and, after being surprised that they had killing intent toward him, still doesn't kill them?), or is he a genocidical maniac who sacrifices millions of enemy soldiers to a blood ritual, or kill a whole bunch of enemy soldiers who were punishing his side for failing to uphold an agreement? Yes. Depending on what the author feels like, apparently.

What he... more>> does and who he kills in any given circumstance seems to be more based on the phases of the moon than any characterization. Whether he interferes in a matter also seems completely random. In one instance, he doesn't interfere even when the whole country is pretty much crashing down, and the king is obviously controlled by some dark magic (which he somehow doesn't realize, despite investigation, only to realize instantly later on). Other times? Eh, let's show off!

The enemies aren't really better. They seem to come up with all sorts of excuses to court death, all of which are nonsensical. Oh, this dude has been here for 30 years. He must have a secret. Let's threaten this whole city to lure him out and capture him.

The worldbuilding is ridiculous. ALL humans came from the old world, and only spread to a small portion of the new world, but somehow they just exist in other continents where they never went. A low level "ultimate mage" was somehow a major force and got a bunch of forces which had high level archmages (a big realm higher than ultimate mage) to agree to a treaty and also make a restriction which stopped them from coming in, which somehow stopped stopping when the author needed higher level enemies, but which also once again had a suppression effect when it was needed.

The translation is hilariously bad. It's like a machine translation by a Warcraft fanatic. Chinese names are butchered into English names. The story became that of Lei Lou, or Lelo, or Raylo, or Raylow, fighting against wolves who are werewolves and murlocs (actually sea tribe) and foxkins who all somehow are orcs.

Most sentences are barely understandable, and there is more fun in how bad the translation and story is than the story itself.

It should be telling that the best part of the story is the s*xual relationship between the 30+ year old MC (who had lived a lifetime before) and a 17 year old (who is 19 years old, and 16 years old all at the same time) princess he saw growing up from a child. Until, of course, he inevitably leaves her behind to cultivate in close doors, or just go to another continent, and find other jade beauties. But hey, at least they have s*x. And she does meet him again, and does stay in the story up to when I stopped reading. She also doesn't seem to mind that he gained a few more jade beauties or left her for like 40 years to sleep in a vampire coffin (seriously) on another continent.

Honestly, I feel like I'm reading a cultivation magic academy Warcraft fanfic written by a 15 year old.

Edit: Oh right. Some of the most ridiculously hilarious logic.

"Hmm, I could simply telepathically call her over, but that is too much work. So, you, go find her and tell her to come over."

"Hmm, I miss my lover. I could simply show myself and she'll find me, but I'm lazy. You, go look all over the world to find her." <<less

Bruh what just happened? Chapter 1 to 244 is completely different from chapter 245 till the end, its like two different stories lol.

The 1st half did not even reach the end yet when at 244, MC along with his companion and wives enter a small hidden world and then in that hidden world, MC once again enters another world inside that of an item and then wham! The story becomes completely different and there starts the chapter 245. Wtf? What just happened bruh!

A lot of things did not even make... more>> sense, as in, f*cking lot of things did not make sense.

And in chapter 245 onwards, the concept of signing in is no longer there.

You see, starting at 245, MC becomes some kind of a god creator and he creates a world, but then the previous world where he came from along with his wives and history there is completely forgotten and no longer even mentioned lol.

Damn this doesn't really make any sense <<less

The starting of the novel was fairly great (at least to me) and from then on to chapter 245 was alright. The novel started with him cultivating in a low-profile manner in library and growing up to be powerful mage until he becomes invincible in that world, then moving on to a higher world and becoming powerful again.... your standard powerup speedrun (the main reason I started this novel). And there was a harem to make the story more colorful, s*x scenes (really bland, no explicit description) and some leisure... more>> time. And honestly, I really loved this first half. But then suddenly at chapter 245, he became a creator god, created a new world, his old harem members vanished-no explanation where they went or how they are and even more so how the hell did he become a creator god when his cultivation was still at the Sky Spirit Archmage realm. I was seriously confused but even then, I could put up with it if there were the old harem members. But unfortunately, the old characters, his son (not biological), the old world- all of it vanished with no explanation at all. After that he suddenly reincarnated and became weak. At that point I dropped it so I donno what's going to happen after that.

Lastly, I don't recommend it. The plot becomes too confusing, the story doesn't add up and the translation is shit. All in all not recommended. <<less

literally started great, MC was doing his own thing, quietly leveling up, minding his own business and helping from time to time, you start to feel the aura of a benevolent master and then the ret*rded author decides to force a the princess he raised and trained to move in the library with him and then kiss him as thanks and fall in love with him. The dudes 34-36 and shes 16 and he basically helped... more>> the king and queen raise her. This type of character DOESN'T need romance or females, thats like making buddha into a pimp just because. <<less
