Have you read a book that is a complete roller coaster? This is such a book. The beginning is so cute and fluffy and sweet. I start this book because it's a sweet, fluffy book with zombies. But this book is a roller coaster of plots. It starts off as a fluffy zombie book, but then quickly forgets about the zombies... like sometimes I wonder if the author forgot.. then it became a cultivation book. Like full on cultivation book, with pill making alchemy and levels of cultivation. Then world... more>> merging with giant dinosaur size animals (zombies are completely forgotten at this point and never mentioned again). Then some dungeon hopping madness. Near the end of the book.. besides the MC and ML being present its... not even the same book anymore. MC also is pretty much mary sue all the way. Smart beyond worlds, can comprehend things in few minutes that takes people a life time, etc etc. I stopped at chapter 130 and there was only 19 more chapters till the end of the book and I just could not do it anymore... What happen to my fluffy zombie book T.T

On a positive note, these are the most sticky and loving MC and ML I have ever seen in any book. Like impossibly sticky. <<less

MC is shameless and he makes you feel like you have to gather him up in your arms and protect him from the world. The system doesn't really interact with him, it just gives him tasks. The ML hasn't fallen for him yet which is a nice plus, the interactions between the two are slowly developing though.

Dog food everywhere. The Shi Lingxi (MC) and ML shows off their love to the extreme. Whether it be in front of millions of people or while fighting zombies. There are very little misunderstandings and the MC is the more pragmatic and ruthless one in the pair. He is independent and knows what is important to him. He doesn't hesitate to stick to his decisions or be influenced by others choices. Which is really appealing when you have read so many other BL novels where the MC hesitates and is... more>> insecure. Those MC depend completely on the ML and novels where the MC is strong usually overdo it with how it expresses how the ML always has to listen to the MC. There are also novels where the MC (shou) is described as strong but we the readers never actually see it with how the MC always needing the help of the ML.

Anyway, does anyone know the nine powers of Shi Lingxi? I had trouble with MTL so I'm kinda confused. <<less

xianxia in the last 2/3 of the story, which was jarring for me. I guess the author got tired of the usual EoW tropes and decided they needed to veer sideways into cultivation and bloodlines, treasure hunting and sacred realms. Once the MC gets past 3 or 4 tails the story has a very different tone, genre-wise, than the beginning.

I like that the MC and ML are together nearly from the start and face everything side by side, and there are very few misunderstandings between them. The system played a fairly big part towards at the beginning but the tasks show up less and less often as the story progresses and the focus changes from light and funny to politics and battles. The MC is smart yet tends to act his age (19 at the start of the story) and the ML is OP and very sweet with the MC. Read this for the heat and the fluffy, cavity-inducing interactions between the two. <<less

Can't stop reading it so I MTL-ed. And it one of the novels that are easy to MTL.

It is a mix and match between apocalypse and cultivation. It is the same as " Reborn of MC" but with better premise and execution.

I really love how they sprinkle dogfood to anyone and everywhere. It is such a roller coaster ride. 3 sides of truth are revealed slowly, though connected yet unexpected.

Okay here you go.

  • The story starts with the MLs third life. (1st- ghost god, 2nd- where tangyuan came, 3rd- the current timeline)
  • All the task are set up by the past MC, this are his regrets in life that he wants to fulfill with ML.
  • ML is the reincarnation of God of Underworld/ Ghost God. *I'm not sure of the correct title either way it has the same thing*
  • MC is the only heir of the enemy of the ML, the one that controls the holy land/city.
  • MC is obsessedly inlove with the ML, he wants to resurrect him yet he failed so he sent Shi AiAi (system) 10 years back in the past in hopes to save the ML and live a better life.
  • MC has gone 6000 worlds to search for a way to ressurect the ML. And prop the base by himself.
  • Ai, ML was actually always been beside the MC as a ghost spirit, he guides the MC to do things. Kind of using him to turn back time since it was already his 2nd life.
  • There are 2 mirror boys, Shi AiAi (MCs system) and Lou Tongtong (MLs system). Since ML died early in the past, so the one who won the ticket and recognize as the master of mirror boy in the 2nd life is MC, now that ML is still alive, the plot change and he was the one recognize as the master.
  • Ai, they are in love very much so dogfoods everywhere.

Not sure if I like this enough to continue with MTL, some parts just aren't translating right.

At times I love the MC and at other times he is annoying. He spent 3 years surviving the apocalypse, but when he meets the ML he can't do any basic functions with out ML.

ML doesn't have much personality yet, other than a s*ave for MC. I see potential in him being a great ML, but don't want to read the MTL to find out

The system forced their progress too quickly. Their love was... more>> almost instant and they've only known each other for like a month and have hit all the bases. Also, the first couple public displays of affection were cute and funny, but then it became old fast, not sure why the need to embarrass ML in public all the time.

If this ever gets fully translated, I would probably give it another go. I did read other reviews, and while I'm not a big fan of wuxia heavy elements in my apocalypse stories, it's not a deal breaker. I think the cultivation/wuxia maybe the reason no translator has picked it up. <<less

It started great but at some point the story just went downhill. The MC started as a lovable young doctor in a zombie apocalypse world and ended as an arrogant, know-all, can-do-everything and sometimes bully MC. There's no sense of crisis the whole story, everything is easily handled, the way he dealt with his family was boring, the fights take one-two paragraphs at most. I gave one star just for the beginning that was really good.

Rich with Sugary Sweet Dog Food, Awesome Actions, Power Couple, Smart MC, and few Faceslap... Pretty Good Novel so far.

I Love how the MC is smart because he has Medical Knowledge and did learn a lot before he get System. The System gives him some good magical medicine, but MC can only take but not duplicate it. The magic med from System is the Presents after finishing mission. The biggest cheat is the fact MC can Not turn into Zombie as long as he do his mission and under System's... more>> protection. But other than that; Power, Ability, etc, he has to work hard like many other Ability user, aka do Hard Training. I Love this Great but not OP power. And Usuful System!

MC and ML fall for each other pretty fast. ML has lie detector ability, while MC don't lie or fake things in front of ML, so their Development is pretty Genuinely. Make sense too why it was fast, since the System is LOVE SYSTEM and both MC and ML are So Good with each other, why won't they fall for each other?

Seriously, so far this novel is pretty good. I pray sooooo hard someone continue this novel translation please!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 <<less

I get mix feeling reading it (＠_＠;) it's fluffy and cute at first but the story change its direction from zombie&power to cultivation&celestial. Although the couple will always be lovely and sweet. It's just me who can't adapted with the change of plot (ب_ب)

There's system, reborn character, zombie, cultivation, alchemy, inheritance, secret realm, bloodline, etc. Isn't it too much for just 1 story? ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯ it's enjoyable at first though but I don't feel like continuing it so I only skim the chapter titles to the end and kind of... more>> don't vibe with it (´..̫. `) <<less

To be honest I really enjoyed this story at first, it was a nice fluffy romance, and the system quests were hilarious, so I was enjoying this romance in the apocalypse up until it turned into a cultivation story and the zombies disappeared completely. I liked the premise but it just got boring. Idk what chapter I'm on because the website formatting I read on didn't keep the chapters the same.

But the part where the couple goes to a different city and MC decides to participate in a competition. I was so bored and kept forcing myself to read in hopes that arc would end soon. The competition felt unnecessary and I didn't care. MC was just beating everyone up no problem.

The weirdest part was how MC got more seductive with every tail he... more>> got?? Like okay.. I guess? Probably to become a nine tailed fox with a power for each tail when even double powered humans were rare. I feel liked I missed an overpowered tag.

The writing was okay but there wasn't any tension. I wasn't curious about what's happening next.

If your looking for fluff, they do get together quickly but the chemistry is boring. <<less

I'm pleasantly surprised that this novel has many layer. I thought that it would be a typical apocalypse story and will ended in mainstream way, but no, even the system has its own origin explained and the cause of apocalypse isnt what it seems to be.

And have I mentioned about the amount of dog food sweetness here? Dayum 😌

I really hope this gets picked up again. Kicking myself for starting another unfinished translation novel. I LOVE the MC. He seemed a bit naive but surprised me with how he didn't act like how I expected him to in a certain scene. He has friggin shiny backbone which I absolutely loooove in an MC who doesn't exactly have the best social skills. I'm seriously enjoying where it's going but I don't wanna ruin it by MTLing it 😭

I was in search of an apocalypse BL novel to read so those are the tags that I filtered for. I did not look at the other tags when I started to read this novel. So when the apocalypse novel turned into a cultivation novel, I got confused by this development. I had read quite a few cultivation novels in the past and have grown a bit tired of the genre. But here it did not bother me all too much. Probably, because the plot is fast-paced and thus... more>> did not have the breathing room to grow weary.

The author is a bit inconsistent, sometimes forgetting about the daily tasks and punishments when not completing them. One time the punishments are accumulated into a worse punishment and other times there is no punishment at all.

Except for that, I did not have any major complaints. Both the main leads were likeable, same with side characters. There were a few infuriating characters (MC's parents- what happened to them anyway? Just faded out and dropped off from the face of the earth) and a few braindead ones who keep running into knives head-on.

Overall, the novel was entertaining enough. It had a lot of dog food and fluff for those who are into that. <<less

A bit too fluffy for my taste! Interesting premise tho. It's a Zombie Apocalypse setting. Complete with superhumans with abilities and mutant beasts and plants (the worldbuilding is pretty good in this one!). The Main Character is Shi Lingxi, who is given another chance at life after dying. It's not a regression story, he just wakes up after almost dying with a SYSTEM in his head. This system's purpose is to ship him with the ML—the target Luo Yuan.

As the MC is a researcher a lot of the novel is... more>> spent on exploring the universe. But the main focus is definitely on the fluffy romance. There's some side drama too with an actual Regressor, but I didn't get to that part! Ahh, the MC in this one is a white lotus Mary Sue type. And the ML is stoic but sweet to MC type. I didn't really like the characterizations. Their undoubtedly cute but they also felt a bit shallow. So yeah.

Final rating for now is 2.5/5!!It ended up not being my kind of story, but if you like fluffy romance. Then you'll probably like it more than me. <<less

I am still reading, but I have to review first because I am dying from secondhand embarrassment and I am taking this time to catch my breath.

The MCs system is too embarrassing!!!! I don't know what I would do if I had a system that made me show love in public places. That said, the MC is also quite thick-skinned because he can do it without breaking a sweat.

Overall, the CP is quite sticky and the story is overall fluff.

tropes. The humour of the system encouraging the two to step out of their comfort zones is great. It only gets more fun to see the reactions of the onlookers as the bottom line of the MC and love interest completely drop, changing them both completely from their original high cold character settings. The lovely aspect of this couple is that their happy ending is achieved only with complete trust. Any doubt and both would be subject to serious consequences or even enmity. It's like the world is telling the two that they should be enemies and not trust each other. Their love must reject this 'truth' and... show off their affection to the doubters!

I do wish we had some extras dedicated to the side couple and the remaining 'incarnation' of the tomb master.

Xenophobia notice: Anything other than China simply does not exist in this novel. No other country is mentioned. Presumably they were all wiped out without the protection of the MC and ML who only bother wiping out the zombies in China.

Genre Notice: Author blends Xianxia, Mythological, and Apocalyptic themes into one with differing results. I found it interesting, but I admit the author couldn't decide on a unified power ranking causing the shift from super humans to cultivators to be quite jarring. <<less

When I saw that it said "system" I thought that automatically it would be and QT kind of novel but it's all in just one world, I should have read the tags before, it's not dissapointing anyway.

Anyway it's not bad, but I don't think it offers anything new. I'll edit the review if there's something new later on the story.
