Makoto is a recluse (hikikomori) who gets summoned to another world. From the Goddess Liana, he’s granted the “Truth Eye” aka “God’s Eye”. Makoto is now able to see various things, including the past and future, using this ability to live as an adventurer in a different world.

I've read 4 volumes so far, and I like it. The MC isn't dense and d*ckless like the one in Tsuki ga Michibiku, he also doesn't have fear of intimacy unlike many other protagonists. The novel takes more of a comedy approach to the story, creating an atmosphere similar to Tate no Yuusha. So if you liked TNY maybe you'll like Shingan no Yuusha. Regarding why "the MC can use a log as a weapon while being a hikikomori half an hour before" I don't want to spoil this for... more>> anyone who has not read it, so let's just say he is somewhat a genius when it comes to log wielding, lol. <<less

An utter piece of self-fantasy and wish fulfillment. I also notice the MC name is Makoto and he is also dump by a god after being called "tr*sh" and "conveniently" getting gifted power by another god. If only the character is not name Makoto, I would have missed this detail. It feel like I am reading Tsuki ga Michibiku OP but with less details and character.

"Makoto is a recluse (hikikomori) " who can pick up a 50kg or more log and use it to clear a town infested by zombie... more>> 30 minutes after he got dump by the goddess. The other goddess gifted him "better eyesight"... wait, this is the same as Tsuki ga power but more or less OP (it came with future vision, stat viewing and can also see back into the past) and doesn't help explain why he can use a 50kg log as a weapon while being a useless slob 30 minutes before.

I ran over and read the manga and so, the "hero" the goddess summon is a blond, arrogant as*hole just to make us hate the 1st god for being a d*ck to the MC. The MC try to view the hero stat and get punch doing so. Thus the MC hate the hero for punching him WHILE trying to view his stat BEHIND HIS BACK. It is like having another person hacking your account, viewing your history and thinking of how to blackmail you in the future. That is basically what the MC trying to do and he has the ball to complain why is he got punched

If you like no brainer MC, non-sense story and progression and MC who just "act" like what the "cool" kids nowaday expect: no bullshit, can bang a girl when needed, you might see this MC as "cool". For me, this is too boring. Compare to other novel I read, this MC feel lackluster and just another average run of the mill character to chased the "no bullshit" trend. Go read Tsuki ga Michibiku if you want something this a similar start like this. I had a review for that novel so check it if you need some confirmation. Or you can see other review on that novel. I advise sticking with it until 150 or so chapters if you want to see real changes from the MC cause before that, all his growth are very subtle. <<less

This is a really good Isekai series, I have read the manga and since I liked it I even read the raws so in total I have read about 20 chapters.

The MC is not your generic Isekai protagonist, he is just on his house with his sister when he enters a new world and meets a Goddess called Astena (I think that was her name). But she gets disappointed since even tho his stats are over 20 (in this world average people have their stats around 10) he doesn't have... more>> a special ability or affinity to magic

MC gets thrown out in the forest by the Goddess and meets an old woman, she is hungry and her feet hurt so she asks him if he could carry her to town and give her something to eat, the MC being the good guy he is gives her the only snack he has and takes her to town in a piggy-back carry. The old woman is actually a goddess and she wants good natured people like the MC to become their familiars/followers so she gives him a special power and explains him how to use it. And this how our MC clears a town of zombies and sleeps with 2 s*aves he saves.

The story is not completely original but you can't expect to find an Isekai story which is "Original" at this point in time, this story is similar to other Isekai but not the same, there are also references to other books and stories (and mythology) which I find very interesting. Also I love the MC, there are 3 types of MC which I really hate and can make me drop a series in a split second: The Peaceful MC (I can live with this one), The Dense MC (Its painful to read a story with a dense protagonist) and lastly The Coward MC or better said the Puss* MC (I really can't read a story with an MC who is scare of everything, its just too painful to read but I can make an exception if the story is really good). The MC in this story is the complete opposite of those 3, he has the resolve to do what he needs to, he isn't some dense ass guy who can't put A and B together and he isn't afraid of fighting an immortal vampire, actually he wanted to fight him since even tho he can't die he can still make him suffer (when I read it in the manga that sh*t was really badass). The light novel I haven't read it since I can't find a site with more than 3 chapters so if someone knows where I can read it then please tell me, since I haven't read I can't say anything about how the story is written or the translation but the concept (even tho is similar to other Isekai) is still slightly different with a good MC on top of it. Anyways I really recommend this series, so at least give it a chance. <<less
