Kazama Shinji was summoned to another world, which he saves due to a plea from a goddess. However, the world as a whole only looked to use him and oppressed him.

Having realized how ridiculous it is to continue working hard for that world, Shinji fulfills the bare minimum of his duty, then abandons the world, returning to the real world with his cheats still in hand.

As the world he abandoned falls into ruin and self-destruction, he shall live as he pleases within the real world with the help of his cheats.

It's written by the popular but incompetent LN author Miki Nazuna, so expect less to none character bulding, nonsensical world/system, cutboard harem, a lot of plot hole etc. You can check out his other works which have been translated further to know this author's style.

Even the already translated chapters in the series have already shown it's downsides: childish fights which only served to show the MC is uber strong and 'cool', not so subtle racial discrimination insert by the author, real world animal abuse theme (killing bears in mountain just... more>> to get meagre exp, and he just left the carcases there since he doesn't need anything at all from the bear), etc.

Well, proceed with caution if you want to read further. <<less

This story is a cookie cutter of almost every other story in this genre except it takes place on earth which you would think would enhance it but no I get the feeling the previous world that hated summoned beings would be much more interesting and it's entirely skipped over. Plus the MC can't seem to make up his goddammed mind half the time in the first chapter he decides that becoming super famous is a good idea but immediately chickens out 8 chapters later when the first girl in... more>> his harem recognizes him from the video he shot beating up some cannon fodder mafia. The chapters are made up entirely up of him fighting bad guys and getting stronger (Not that he even needs to get stronger he's already one shotting bears by chapter 5.) The worst sin of all, in my opinion, is that no one in this entire story seems to have a personality, all the characters even the MC himself just seem to be reacting to situations like robots.

So if you're looking for an engaging story with a great plot congratulations you haven't found it here! <<less

The writing style is similar to death march in that the transitions are smooth, the fun is in what the MC decides to do once he regains his former level of power, and what type of women will be in the harem.

If you're not fond of power creep and prefer a weak to strong approach then this probably isn't for you.

Edit: It's slow-paced in the sense that not much of interest happens in any one chapter, and the chapter-length is slightly below average, so I would recommend saving up chapters... more>> to binge.

Overall: This is a popcorn novel through and through, if you've read one, you've read them all, I like it so far, and intend to continue reading. <<less

I honestly tried to read this.. But after chapter 1 everything just went down hill. There are multiple issues with this novel even at its early pace. I will proceed to explain them all.

1. no details

First off, the author does not build the world at all. They expect you to know japan at the back of your hand. Second, there is basically no detail in its writing. From the start it goes something like this: put skill points in skill A --> proceeds to use said skill --> punch here... more>> punch there --> foreign enemy defeated. Third, the math is all wrong. I do not mind if you miss a couple skill point or stats in the long run but in the second chapter to learn the language translation skill it costed him 200 out of 250 points. Simple math would dictate that it is 50 points left. But somehow the author decides to write 3 points left. What? Another example is when he buys his crap camping car. He says each case is worth 100MIL yen. So he picks up and puts on the table 5 of them to buy it. But somehow he says he bought it for 200mil yen. WHAT? HOW? DUDE, ITS SIMPLE MATH!

2. mentality of the hero

The mentality of the hero believes hes acting very "smart". But in reality, it is the opposite. He has 12.1billion yen, he decides to spend 500mil or 200mil (read first point on why) on a camping car. This camping car called "executive one" is utterly s*upid. It doesnt even make sense. It says it is big enough to house a bloody car inside it. There is also an L shaped sofa, so its expected that there is a lounge area. How bloody big is this s*upid car? Not to mention, why didnt you just buy a regular sized camping car and buy a mansion? You have 12.1b and you spend so much on a crap car? You can at least save it up for gear or what not.. but no... he wants to go hunt bloody bears.

3. racism?

I was honestly surprised with this one. Most japanese novels serve some little racism here and there. They wont out right say it. They will mix in some japanese enemy to make it "fair". Fine, im down with that. This one however it straight up tells you, its from china and korea. Yeah, from the 2nd or 3rd chapter MC tells us that "mafia comes from Country C or Country K". because you know japanese only have the yakuza and no mafia. Lol Lets not mention, both the terrorist and thugs are foreigners. ONLY foreigners. I'm sorry but this is too much.

These are the main points I find wrong. I honestly cannot continue to read this. It is disappointing how far this is from "To Be a Power in the Shadows!" I like the translator, but this pick is horrible. Unless you dont mind reading something for the sake of reading, dont bother. It'll be boring as hell. <<less

Ya know what guys? I'm not even going to write a review. This is so bad it doesn't even deserve my meager analytical opinion. I will say this though: If you are absolutely and utterly bored, you have literally nothing better to do at all, other than waste your time reading this, then go ahead and give it a chance. But know this, I promise it will give you a reason to get out of your chair and find something more productive to do with your time.

It's not bad, but it doesn't really have anything that screams that it is going to get better later on either. Also, the author doesn't go out of his way to make the fight scenes, the environment, or the people interesting. It has got the basic 'OP MC in modern earth' feel, and doesn't really try to be anything more. The MC has all the money and power he could need, and nothing to do. The only real struggle he has are his issues with having an ID, and so... more>> far he just throws money at that problem.

The power progression feels like an excuse to have him beat up terrorists (foreign), thugs (explicitly Chinese), and bears (only thing actually japanese so far). I'd bet money that the next bad guys are going to be from a foreign crime syndicate. There's a distinct feeling of a theme occurring.

It isn't overt, but the only thing that rises above the blandness is that the author goes out of his way to point out that the bad guys are foreign. If the story had anything else going for it that wouldn't be a big deal, but with just this it's basically all that stuck out to me. I'm hoping it gets better, but I'm honestly not optimistic. <<less

its not that bad, but not that good either. Hopefully this starts a trend of stories on the real world.

besides that this feels more like a mediocre amateur novel about feeling like a hero and creating a dream character that the author wanted to be created. It does not have drama or plot or anything, its bad, its another shitty story without a proper story to tell and which the creator does not know what story to tell

I do enjoy tr*shy isekai novels, but this one is just a bit too much. This is a wish fulfillment fantasy that is completely unrealstic. For me, the novel fell apart when the MC gets a skill called ... more>>

Free Visit, which allows them to visit anyone, anywhere without an appointment or security check, regardless of whether it is the pope or POTUS.

. Good grief, two random encounters for the MC to show off is pushing it but every 3 chapters shows that the author didn't write this for the public at large, they wrote it as a wish fulfillment novel where they are the MC with great powers, women and good deeds to make up for what they lack in their own lives. A common trap of isekai novels. <<less
