These bold words were addressed to me, Sakuradamon Jirou, from Shiinamachi Kaguya-senpai, a senior library monitor. Filled with anticipation, I visited the “Clock Tower Caretaker’s Room” where Senpai lived, only to discover Senpai collapsed on the floor, all covered in blood. Then the situation proceeded to develop rapidly in an unexpected direction! The culprit is someone from around me? What secrets does Senpai harbor? To be completely sincere, I feel like I'm reading a not so original dating sim or visual novel that I would rather be playing than reading. If you've played as much of these as I had, you'll recognize some recurrent plot from other works, as well as from some romcom novels and manga.

By all means, as you can see for my rate, I'm not into this kind stories as much as I was before. However, I understand why they're popular for many people. For them I recommend it 100%.

Having said... more>> that, the story is told from the point of view of our protagonist, a normal student member of the librarian committee. He's our typical romcom mc: virg*n, awkward with women (even when he interact with them on a daily basis), and a secret pe*vert (the kind of h**ny boy who lust for every single woman who cross his path, and, if given the opportunity, would't think twice on raping).

Spoilers free, the story goes like this:

  • Jiro-kun, our MC, is requested by his sempai, Shiinamachi Kaguya, to meet at midnight in her room, using the strange phrase "Today is my safe day". Our MC immediately thinks "sex". Any other possibility is out of his mind.
  • On his way to the meeting, we're introduced to some other stereotypes: typical parentless house w/o money problems, a little sister, a kohai, a childhood friend, you know, the usual.
  • Of course, when he reached his destination, he realized "getting laid" is not in the menu. Instead of his dreamed +18 eroge development, he got involved on the much less enjoyable romcom world: kinda edgy/kinda chunni story (a mix of high school dxd and Hidan no Aria, among others), fated encounters that make no sense, amnesia and hidden pasts, unfunny pervy comedy, sudden changes of personality, a destiny to be fullfilled (which, in 99% of the cases is not fulfilled for plot's sake in order to get a good ending), etc.
So far I've only read the first chapter, which was divided into several parts. But I can already roughly guess where this is going. <<less

I hope someone can truly fully review this novel, coz I'm dropping it now..

The story just twisted too much, I cant keep up with what im reading to makes sense of it, I enjoyed vol 1 tbh, vol 1 epologue give u a happy ending which everyone's be happy, but it didnt really conclude.. so I tho it'll later exlained in vol 2 or whatever. But vol 2 is new arc.. new characters, then new case, then big twist!
