This story is a hilarious and tear jerking story. I like the character building and how it all comes together. I only gave this a 5 because it managed to make me laugh uncontrollably, cry a bucket of tears and made me realize things in life I haven't before. So yeah. I recommend reading this.

I loved this story. I think my favorite life time was the first one. Bittersweet, but it left the most emotional impact on me.

Partly the reason why I liked it because the main guy seemed to be more aware of his feelings after that life time. He definitely chased her first all due to her changing "fate" that the Heavens bestowed on her. She was suppose to "chase the husband" and was suppose to "die first", but due to her not wanting the Heavenly Emperor to control her fate, she changed her fate. Also, if you have to asked me who fell for who first, I think the main guy did first. But he was too stubborn to admit his feelings first and so she had to be the one to give in and make him admit it too. The scene where he finally admits his feelings is very adorable and spicy. XD He sure is tsundere and he's definitely not romantic, but his face can't hide his emotions when he's in love. The ending was adorable and I enjoyed the story better than I expected. I was expecting a lot of heart ache due to the "seven unfortunate lifetimes", so I knew what I was getting into.

I liked that the author put more dept into the characters emotions which brought out lots of emotions for the readers to sympathized for both main leads each lifetimes they had died or lived. Also for those that said the female lead is like a monkey, she's really not. I find her character to be interesting because she actually isn't a "docile" female lead that will follow the whims fate has laid on her. I didn't like the 2nd life story as much as the first because of how her brained worked that life time, but that wasn't her fault. The main guy fed her too much forgetfulness soup, so it resulted her to be a bit dumb that life time. Can't blame her for hating her "stupid" version of herself that life time. The main girl does have a brain and knows how to use it, she also admits she's not smart in the love department but that doesn't make her dumb. She realizes her emotions and accepts them too later on in the story.

Although she uses her fist on the male lead, she does it for a reason. The main guy says some really hateful sh*t which makes me want to punch him sometimes too, but he learns and changes in a better way after meeting and spending time with her. His heart also softens and he learns to love because of her. Although he doesn't like admitting that he gets jealous when other men touch or talk to her, he accepts that he does love her eventually causing him to not want to part with her every time she dies. I also like that she's pretty straight forward and doesn't hide behind a bush about herself. She's not a fox in sheep clothing and will tell the main guy straight in his face what she really thinks. Also her questioning the guy right in front of his face asking him if he really likes her makes it even more amusing because she knows she's "thick-skinned" trying to get the main lead to admit he likes her. Although he doesn't sugarcoat it, he does eventually tells her in a funny way that makes me even flabbergasted the way he said it (which happens in a scene where it's done in a special way - the scene I said above about the "spicy" scene). Their relationship is a typical bickering couple, but with these trials you see that there's more too just a bickering couple. She's a sly cunning lady (also stubborn) and he's a stubborn man with a bad tongue, but together they make each other. They learn to love through these trials and with time they have bloomed into a cute couple that can't live without each other that was first formed by their hate for each other. I'm glad they got married in the end. Only sad thing I can say after this story ended was that I wanted to read more sweet moments between the two, but because the ending was satisfying I'm okay with it.

If you haven't read this story yet, go on ahead and dwell into a roller coaster of emotions! It's a story you won't regret reading and will love just as much as I did. <<less

Love, obstacle, romantic, misunderstood, sympathy, hate, misery, laughing, humor, suffering, separating...

In just the short 54 chapters, the writer could put all these emotions, and ended happily ever after.

What you expected more before start reading the 1st chapter?

I really like the characters, they're both so cute together. The girl is a tomboy and kind of dumb, but she doesn't really develop much. The guy on the other hand develops throughout the entire story, and he slowly becomes so much more.

I think this is more of a tragedy though--if not for the ending. The entire story is super uplifting on the long run, but the title really says it all: "Seven unfortunate lifetimes."

I thought it'd be more comedy of them fighting, but it gets sweeter and... more>> sweeter. It's 7 beautiful tragedy stories combined in order to make one happy ending at the end, with interludes in between that are absolutely hilarious.

The love they have slowly blossoms...I totally cried in my head a lot, but I knew there was another chapter after so they all stayed in my head! It was not disgustingly fluffy-it was the perfect amount. <<less

So sweet! The 7 lifetimes were so heartbreaking but also heartwarming...

I love how they developed their hate slowly to deep love... AHHHHHH the MC (female) is very interesting regarding personality! And the MC (male) doesn’t speak what he really thinks and is unexpectedly shy.

This is like My Disciple keeps Dying, but focused on the couple rather than a cultivation world. It's literally so amazing, I just finished the first life-Time they spend together and it's beautiful and heart breaking.

I haven't enjoyed a couple like this in a long time, and it's mainly because, individually, the male and female leads are both frankly annoying, hot-headed, selfish, and emotional cowards with communication issues. And yet together they are perfect. They might argue all the time, but it was obvious how devoted they were to each other. I was sad we didn't see more of their happy-ever-after.

The plot is a little weak, but the relationship between Chu Kong and Xiao Xiang Zi more than makes up for it. Their interactions are... more>> at times ridiculous, at times laugh out loud funny, and once in a while so touching I was moved to tears.

Also features probably the funniest depiction of the underworld (and the heavenly emperor) that I've seen so far. <<less

I really liked this story. I read it in one sitting, that is how much I liked it. I just wish it went on a little bit more, but I still really enjoyed it. It has some comedy, romance, action, and adventure. The characters were well developed and their problems and reactions all seemed fitting.

This is a beautiful romance..A romance, that is literally a match made in heaven. First things first: The writing might seem amateurish, but that is because the story itself is pretty simple. The plot is paper thin, but this plot is perfect for a 50 something chapter series.

However, I warn you that there is NO misunderstanding between lovers kind of drama in this. It is the story of a couple who grow from fierce haters into a divine couple over a period of 7 lifetimes. It is a good read... more>> as it is short and simple.. Not so sweet though. The 7 lifetimes are inter related so it doesn't feel discontinuous at all. Recommended. <<less

The leads in Seven Unfortunate Lifetimes are immortals sentenced to act out tragic love stories in order to teach them the value of love, life and fate. The setup is similar to Sansheng, Wangchuan Wu Shang (same author, similar story) but less heart-wrenching due to the humorous interaction between the leads and the need for variety between the seven lives to prevent the story from becoming too tedious.

Both leads begin as rather petty towards each other, with the female lead also slow towards her own emotions. While the male lead... more>> is stubborn and proud. However both are caring towards each other and despite their bickering, and inability to comprehend their own actions, are willing to sacrifice themselves for each other. Although it does require 7 lives for their relationship to mature.

The lives primarily exist to allow the leads to grow and since at least one of them remembers their life as an immortal, aren't always taken seriously by the characters. However recurring characters do emerge from the second life, while an antagonist is established in the third.

1-2 Only one of them remembers at a time and is required to protect and grudgingly raises the other while they're vulnerable. They begin to develop feelings but are mostly in denial.
3 A gimmicky life as a tiger and boar - sets the scene for the antagonist.
4 Both remember but their genders are switched.
5-6 Both remember and are sent to take down the antagonist of the series. Male lead's soul is scattered.
7 Similar to the first life, female lead remembers and needs to protect and raise the male lead so that he can become an immortal again.

The male lead develops strong feelings for her over the first life, having fallen for the real her and gradually becomes less petty. While the female lead has slow character growth until the last life, having been protected by the male lead.

Weaknesses - the plot was more developed than Sansheng, but the characters just seemed weaker. While I really wasn't a fan of the second life, where the plot was just misunderstandings due to a dense and irritating female lead. It would've been better from the male lead's POV or if the female lead's character wasn't such a contrast from her normal personality.

Really good story. The 2 main characters are so funny and so sweet. The title really fits it as seven lifetimes worth of love between a foolish couple.

Cant help to comparing this to sansheng (same author)

The result is I prefer sansheng better because it full of action, not talking/fillers like this one.

The plot seems lost from the path start from the 3rd life.

Also sansheng have an image of pure white sheet of paper, while XXZ give an image of stupid little girl.

I think its okay if u read this one before sansheng. But if u read this after... sigh*

This is good story for those who wants a LOYAL love interest. Quite heart-wrenching but that's okay, smart and powerful ML. Its somehow kind of fluffy to me (don't get me wrong, I freakin' love fluffy love stories). This story is among my top 3 fav story.

The story plot is good. Some sweetness, some cuteness and some sadness mix into one in this novel. I like the male MC, but I really didn’t like the female MC. She is like a wild monkey. 😂

A brash, loud mouthed, tomboy girl. She is also simple minded. I don’t like that kind of girl. But overall this is a good novel.

I'm so glad this is completely translated! If not, I'd be dying everyday wanting to know what happens next! They are such a cute couple, and they don't fall in love right away but learn how to love each other through their different colorful lives. Kudos to the author!

1. Plot is really interesting and new. Especially since our MC and ML remember everything from their lives, it sometimes get funny and serious, especially since both of them are deities in a way.

2. Character development is pretty smooth. From enemies to friends to lovers, our couple went through fires and mountains to get together!

3. The translation is mediocore, but I am still very thankful for the translator's hardwork. I really enjoyed this novel overall even though it can't be compared to the novel Sansheng. Highly recommend trying to read... more>> Seven Lifetimes to pass time! <<less

This is a light novel with a sweet and amusing story. Two fairies started brawling, finally ended up destroying several red threads ruining the future of lovers. Thus, they are condemned to reincarnate seven times, losing their memory and falling in love with each other in each life in order to repent to their faults. At least, this was the intention of the Emperor, but our female character has not the slightest intention of complying, so she manages to cheat retaining her memories with the goal of making the... more>> other party die in order to quickly go to the second reincarnation. But, despite her objective, she is not so heartless to kill him when she has the opportunity.

As they are bound to reincarnate again and again, every time with completely different backgrounds creating funny or bittersweet situations, they realize that, after all, the other party is not so bad. In each life, they grow a little, realizing their mistakes and prejudice, finally falling authentically in love.
My only complaint I wish it was longer. <<less
