Failed on his job-hunting, shut-in Sagara Kurohiko went to the mountain on the day of a typhoon where he is struck by lightning and dies. But he is still alive, in a strange land with a great holy tree. To his surprise, his physique has rejuvenated to when he was teen. Brought to the academy near the tree, he is soon suspected as a spy from another country, and was brought to the headmaster. An accident happened on the way, which enraged the headmaster. Before Kurohiko can get blasted by magic, his eyes laid upon an old parchment. He took it and read the contents. Suddenly four holes appeared and black chains came out from each of it, binding the headmaster. It is then revealed that Kurohiko just recited an incantation of “Forbidden Art,” an art which is extremely powerful from a legend. Apparently, no one has been able to decipher the contents of the scroll, which makes Kurohiko the only current Forbidden Spellcaster. Sparked by this, the headmaster offers Kurohiko to attend the academy.

The pacing is terrible. The MC thinks with his dick, instead of his head. The cringe worthy "accidental pe*vert" cliche is everywhere. And also, the MC hesitates to a point where everyone else either solve his problems for him or he gets lucky and that somehow saves his ass.

If you like dumbass MCs that are spineless cowards, who accidentally gains power, still doesn't do anything, and yet have girls somehow fall in love with how f*cking useless and disgustingly pe*verted they are... then here's a novel for you!

The things I hate the most about this work:
The MC was supposed to be an adult that cursed at his bad luck and the pitifull life he had. Yet, after being sent to the other world with his younger body and a cheat power, all traces of the "adult" have disapeared. He acts like your typical naive goody-2-shoes japanese teenager. All his previous experiences and wisdom have disappeared.

Second:
The headmistress! Inviting a stranger to her living quarters. He doesn't even have proper monitoring placed on him the next day.... more>> The headmistress just decided to fully trust him without any good reason at all when it was previously shown that she wouldn't hesitate to have suspicious people tortured and killed. Worse, still no monitoring considering the weird power he has.

Third:
The way he came to know about his power. "I'm about to be killed because people think I'm a spy, and mostly because I accidentally touched the headmistress when I received a hard push in the back. So let's peacefully look at those random paper on the ground and read them aloud without no good reason at all, instead of fighting (with words and logic) for my survival considering all the sh*t that has happened to me before, or downright panicking, or cursing at my bad luck like it happened before."

If you can forgive this, then the story is interesting. If not for what I stated above, I would have given this 4 stars. I had read the raw with GT to a certain extend some time ago, and it does have a nice story, with a few mysteries to clear, and some serious action. Really, the only serious downside is the author turning the MC and the headmistress into naive adults that still act like teenagers. <<less

The only thing that makes me interested in this novel is the girls, the MC is useless and not in a good way, he's supposed to be an adult but his mentality right now is basically no different than that of a middle schooler goody two shoes, and that really makes me want to hit him

This novel doesn't deserve the bad reviews and ratings it has.

It's really quite good if you continue reading. At the beginning the MC is still quite dense, indecisive and a bit of a coward, but that changes (a lot) as the story progresses (It's called character development). The romance/harem part is rather cliche but it can't be called bad since all girls have great potential for further character development as well.

The only problem I might have is the translation quality/grammar which needs a bit of work, maybe an editor and/or... more>> a proofreader.

All in all I think you should give this novel a chance and read it. <<less

Cliches, cliches everywhere. Pace is very slow and light: 3 days = 39 chapters O_o but I'm grateful its being translated because its good to pass the time. Its not like an original and devoid of cliches novel is gonna pop up every 3 days and gets constantly translated, specially one of [transported to another world] setting.

3/5 (or maybe even 2.5)

It's that sort of "indecisive protagonist hiding his powers because it's unusual" cliché. He gets into a pinch, not using his power then gets saved by someone else (or maybe he use it in the end and saves the day) that sort of cliché.

"Lucky-pe*vert" and "Misunderstanding" clichés are everywhere too.

So far there are too much cliché that I can't find its appeal at all as I don't see anything unique or particularly interesting in it.

At first normally I not even bother to make review since I often more subjective rather than objective, but for this novel I think I can.

At first this novel similar to other transported to other world minus game element and an existence so called Gods, the MC at first did not have any ground breaking skill or other cheat (just your normal average). The MC get his cheat like skill kinda idiotic like what other reviews said. As for the character except for MC everyone kinda fine for their respective... more>> role (so annoying guys really annoying and possibility a heroine quite "likable" for now) while it not perfect but still fine.

The world build kinda good in my opinion but since it still only in surface its kinda hard to judge it to be really good or bad but for now fine. All in all the only problem for this novel for now is how Idiotic MC and how the Author keep abusing cliff for every scene with repetitive idiotic monologue by MC. So for me this one Ok, not to good or not to bad.

Edit:
In latter story MC personality kinda changed in better way or I must said he finally calmed down, the way author giving insight to MC real personality quite good in my opinion. The most interesting part for me compared to usual isekai troupe MC who think with his lower half only or revenge Kurihiko kinda different although at first he like that thought

Sorry for wrong grammar if there any <<less

From all the LN that I have read so far this one have some kind of different felling, don't know with precision what it is but it's a good one. The MC is very good: a good strength development, and specially the character development, the girls personality is also very good (I think so far at least, this kind of thing tends to change sometimes).

english is not my first language, so sorry if the text is strange to read.

I will just simply say that it is a shitty story.

MC says "I'm not good at using head" and he just keeps on using it.

This story is that even 5th grade children won't like it.

... more>> Poor pacing.

Poor dialogues.

Childish characteristics of characters.

No material.

A long line of dialogues used to describe single scenario/objective/purpose. Kepp on repeating onething/scene over and over again.

No creativity.

Nothing new.

characters with no brain try to be intelligent.

Instead of talking or story to progress MC just keeps thinking to himself. He keeps changing his opinions every second in his mind.

MC contradicts everything everytime. He is coward and indecisive. Total shit.I wasted my huge f*cking time and I'm super pissed. <<less

I literally just went through the comments and saw that I kind of hated the MC already. I was like "that kind of protagonist is shit" I decided to see if they have fixed it by the most recent chapter uploaded and seriously it only then gets the protag to fix his issues in c76 part 2.
