I have read all 200 CHP. I read 6 CHP here, and the other chapters in raw.
i can't change my rating. But after reading all chp, now I will rate it : 1.5/5
a tr*sh novel by a chicken-out author. read the review, I did not edit what I liked about it till chp 175/ so you will be able to see the good things about the novel too.
---------------
review:
first, I will tell you what I enjoyed and loved in this novel. Then I will tell you what I did not enjoy.
The novel is definitely worth a read ngl, to urban and fantasy fans.
-
The whole novel is more about, urban, politics, than dungeons and fights. In the whole novel, MC had a fight with a monster only 2 times afaik till 175 chp. so, it is correct to say that the novel is more inclined to an urban-type setting.
-
MC started as mafia, changed pretty soon, in few CHP, and went to business direction. Behind the scenes boss, Crime syndicate, cartel, etc.
-
I loved the business and political side of the novel.
-
MC was purely rational, and pragmatic, thinking with the brain instead of the lower part like cn bs. So it was quite good and enjoyable. And he also has superpowers, so it was better.
-
MC Personality: He can kill innocent if needed, He is cruel, He is a villain, Care about profit, and Has a sister, not a real sister, but a sister he cares about. She is too weak and doesn't appear anywhere in the plot, so she doesn't matter. MC is ruthless, even all kinds of criminals are part of his gang and cartel later on.
I Loved this part. As I hate harem and romance.
But MC will get 3 women, he will not love them. They are like tools, or maybe just some lingering emotions and a way to vent se*ual desire, and all these women will become part of a cartel and they are villains themselves, apart from 1 girl, who he liked as she is the daughter of Russia president, so this is for business.
Still later on he will end up liking them and will also become a little soft < Which I disliked, but it's alright. I can ignore it.
-
My opinion: This is literally the kind of novel I can enjoy and ignore those small problems/poisons that appear. Till chp 170-175. Oh and one more thing, did I tell you, every CHP is long enough that it will be correct to say they are worth 2 CHP. so view this novel as, 350-400 CHP instead of a mere 200.
-
But why I liked it till chp 175 or so, ONLY?
It is due to the problems which started coming from now on. Not big, I can still ignore it, and skim a bit in some parts, but still, they kind of destroyed my mood a bit and reading experience, so I rate it 4/5, instead of 5/5

So those problems are:
1. Getting feelings for those who he doesn't care much about earlier, happened very abruptly with no logic at all.
2. Change in personality, even though very small change.
Spoiler

But pls author be logical. MC met his blood-related grand granddaughter in a parallel world, and without knowing her, she started showing emotions. Like WTF? That's not how blood works ok. Blood doesn't fkin have magical power for fuk sake.

[collapse]
3. so much filler after 175 or so chp?
Spoiler

Like WTF author? You send MC to some parallel world to find the truth?
and every CHP is long as hell, and in those CHP you write about those all political stuff where MC is not even present. Like I care about so much filler for 20 or so CHP/ WHy? so much filler? And MC is on a journey to find the truth? WTF, truth itself was just bs? BS. So, the author literally filled 20 CHP with filler imo. Not enjoyable at all, instead I just waited like when will it end? and every CHP is so long, feels like 40 CHP of filler, sigh

[collapse]
4. Author trying to make sense of why godly beings are fighting on earth? wearing ties, and coats, and trying to help humanity, while giving literally no logical explanation at all? Like bro did you run out of material or what? So much power to bs near the end, better just end it normally.
5. Before MC there were other people? Omg.
Spoiler

"All the ninety-eight returnees in front of you have failed."

[collapse]
Spoiler

my reaction: ah what? did they fail? why?
Even though MC never fights in the whole novel, sits at home, and does business, like it is an urban novel. So basically he is not doing anything to grow stronger imo. Still, so many people before him failed. why? They were all similarly returnees, but still failed? what is logic? why is logic? where is logic? LMAO

Spoiler

"Unlike you, they were good and conscientious beings."
The impression of Si Guk was distorted in an instant by the sudden dark personality pointed out.
"So it failed."

[collapse]
Hmm, there must be a hidden story, right?
-
Spoiler

"Regressors, all ninety-eight of them knew it. However, everyone neglected Kim Yang-gi for reasons such as being bound by a cause, lack of courage, or being unable to kill a person."

[collapse]
my my-
Spoiler

Hmm, so did you godly beings, choose fukin pu ssies to regress and do everything again, and they don't even wanna kill people who will one day, let's say become thanos. Huh, must be some saint-like nuns you choose ai

[collapse]
-
Spoiler

"But you killed Yang-ki Kim relentlessly right after your return. Of course, you did it because you were going to absorb and use his business, but you did something that none of the ninety-eight people could do in an instant."

[collapse]
lol
Spoiler

OMG, so that's the reason he become the only winner among all 98 people who tried earlier. wow. what plot armor, it just opened my mind, like a big bang explosion. lmao

[collapse]
-
Spoiler

"Besides you, there are many people who have the marching skills of the Dark Legion. However, they all said they could not dishonor the honor of their comrades, so they did not use that skill, and eventually died by Tiamat."

[collapse]
Spoiler

oh wow, so everyone has the skill that MC got. MC did not even train in this skill as all he did was just do business and sit at the office or kill normal weak humans. Still, he used it the first time and yayy defeated big boss. While other simp tried their whole life, 98 people, regressed so it's like, so many people knowing the future and have past memory, still failed while training with their best capability, and our MC survive cuz he knows that he can use the power of dead comrades. WOOOWW how touching, so those 98 people did not do it and let billions of people on earth die in end... wow.... that is really some heroic shi t.

[collapse]

Spoiler

"Unlike other people who couldn't fight Uluru Tumbebe properly to take care of the wounded, you didn't hesitate to strengthen the Fellowship by killing allies to kill Uluru Tumbebe."

[collapse]
This is the only thing I can commend, but still, saving billions while killing 20-30, is it a big thing to choose?
Must be, after all even the regressor failed, aigo.
-
Spoiler

"All of the ninety-eight returnees other than you have powers similar to yours. But they were not as vile as you, and they did not know how to use any means to achieve their ends."
"....."
"This is the truth I will show you."

[collapse]
wow wow
Spoiler

what a touching truth you showed by wasting 20 chp or more, while the biggest raid and dungeon fight in the novel end just in 4-5 chp. really wow, so much for filler. The author really run out of content ig or went mad finally idk

[collapse]
-
Spoiler

"Without the Atonement, there is no salvation. This is the law of the world."

[collapse]
Spoiler

I literally wanna kick the author in the head right now. The whole novel I read is just for evil, villain, ruthless characters. But in end, he is saying MC doesn't have a choice, he will force him to save all those 98 worlds, where those regressors failed. And in end, MC will die, to atone for being a villain???????
Author you ##$$#$#$ beep beep.
nevermind, there is a reason for this novel to not get translated after 6 chp. Even though the whole novel is good, man ending is so bad, idk what to say, I am never going to recommend this to anyone for sure.

[collapse]
-
Spoiler

"You are now human but not human; you are yourself but not yourself. This is the first step in your atonement."
As the darkness said, Si Guk gained more power than a human could dream of, and at the same time lost a lot of what he had as a human being.
It was ironic in a way that one of them was his inhuman madness and cold-blooded pursuit of profit.

[collapse]
anyway, I think, the author destroyed the novel in the last arc. He could have ended it in a better way.
-
Sigh I can't change the stars I gave to this novel.
Spoiler

"But because of the cartel, at least in Asia, the harm of ordinary citizens by villains will be almost eliminated."
"It's funny and ironic that an organization I created for my own greed turned into a part of my atonement."

[collapse]

Now I am truly disappointed in this novel. Like, this novel falls from 4/5 to 2/5, kind of a disappointment. The author idk what he thought while doing such 360* reversal which has no logic or plot, if he wanted to never write a villain novel, then he should not have to begin with. what's the use of chicken out in end?
Truly a shame for the author

Spoiler

"no. It really has changed a lot. I can't see the cruelty shown in Africa anymore."
- Isn't that good?

[collapse]

yare yare, Author Sama fukked up bad in end. If he has to shi t in end, I could have just avoided the novel. Instead of getting angry.
-
review end, nothing good by mentioning more about how bad the novel is and copy-pasting words of the novel anymore.
i have lost interest.
-
Just don't read it.

At least in this prologue this isn't a dungeon story, nor is it a villain story

In reality it's a pretty mediocre mafia story with some of the least threatening thugs I've ever read about. Had no interest to continue reading even if it gets better later on.
