Lemme just say I got shooketh and hella confused when the gender roles got reversed so much that the males are the ones getting pregnant, not the females... bruh what O.o

Science is irrelevant here, so a heads up (well, it's fiction after all)

Plot-wise, imagine domineering CEO vibes for the FL x pitiful villain with sad backstory for the ML. Takes a while to get used to the reverse roles but it's interesting and strangely empowering ngl...

Anyway, this piece repeats the same plot device for every other arc. It's a... more>> brainless and leisurely read and pretty short too (about 15 chap each arc) which is nice. <<less

Each time I see the 'matriarchal' setting as a gender bender patriarchy with only roles of men and women switched, and without any thought behind how that would affect the world, my heart dies a little... The way women can only be in power if they're physically stronger than men makes me sick.

Author repeatedly emphasizes how weak and fragile ML is, and how strong and coarse FL is, and my head hurts each time a see this.

The way MC behaves also gives me goosebumps. It's stated clearly that she's a... more>> modern person, she's very remorseful and apologetic towards the r*pe victim ML, and wants to compensate him for the beastly behavior of the original host, and yet, all this mental baggage doesn't stop her from drooling over ML. Like, girl, what?? If you sympathize with someone, please, stick to your original intention, and don't ruin your morally upright image set opposite to the original host. <<less

I was able to finish the main story and just partially read the first side story. This is a role reversal novel from beginning to end. I have read some stories with role reversal, but frankly, I can imagine the story better as yaoi. Keeping in mind throughout the novel that MC is female is kinda hard because the author does not spend much time describing the looks and body parts of the MC.

If you came here just for romance and not much on an extensive plot, then this one... more>> is good. Every arc is straight up romance, plot-building is minimal.

One thing is somehow concerning in the novel though. Major spoiler ahead:
Spoiler

MC is a workaholic nonromantic person, while ML has been in love with MC since high school. ML has obsessive tendencies. He knows her home address and watches her from afar. He is a stalker, but because he settles for just 'watching' and not really disturbing MC's life, the author played this off as oh it's normal, nothing to worry about - he just loves her so much. ML got tired of being so far away that he applied as MC's subordinate despite being a rich young master already.

ML manipulated MC, that's the plot twist. He proposed a technology to MC for the company (his patent). MC approved and became a human tester. The technology is simulating transmigration to books. So as a tester, MC forgot that she's just in a simulation. MC actually thought that she's world-hopping. Her mission every time is to love ML in every world she transmigrates into. When she returns to the real world, MC brought along those feelings and they get together immediately.

It's concerning, but it's a happy ending and with the way author made this plot twist, apparently there's nothing to worry about.

Despite being a woman, I hate the idea of matriarchal world. And how the ideas presented by the author are ridiculous and confusing, since the author did not give any kind of explanation about the scenario of the world where FL was.

The roles were reversed and ML became a fragile as a feather gary sue and FL became the brainless dominator, who thinks only with his s*xual organ, ahh this makes me sick.

The only thing that is certain about this work is that the author's attempt to innovate was a... more>> great failure. <<less

The role reversal is... confusing. I dislike the fact that apparently "dominant woman" means "thinks only about s*x, constantly" and "unable to resist the urge".

Also, it feels like the author wrote normal BL and just swapped the genders afterward. "Women" are the ones doing the work during s*x and they imp**gnate the men, raising some logistical questions here. Also, all the physical descriptions of "men" are feminine and "women" are "masculine".

So it feels less like a matriarchy and more just like a "we're going to -say- they're women and they... more>> have b**bs but in every other way, it's the same", with a horn dog MC.

Maybe the author wanted to write BL without offending... whoever is offended by BL?

And MC is low key scum. <<less

I really like matriachy novels. But this one is just really too boring. It was fine at first. But then it started getting repeative and not so fun. When I say repeative, I mean exactly same thing but different background. I didn't really count but I think even the lines she coaxed the ML with in every arc were same. I get that the same person will probably say the same thing but line by line almost the same stuff happening is annoying.

Better to read the first arc to understand... more>> what's going on, then read whichever arc's background is more fun to you, read the last arc and that's it. You won't miss any relationship development even if you skip 4/5 arcs in a row. <<less
