One day in the faraway Blue Boorish Mountain inexplicably appeared groups of scoundrels who came to reside there. It was said that those scoundrels came from the You Kingdom, Yen Kingdom and many others due to their failures in battle. And due to its dangerous terrain, no one had dared to conquer the Blue Boorish Mountain. As a result, this place obviously became a paradise to the scoundrel and thieves. They resided there and ruled the place. They had also built up the Illusory Perennial Domicile, which meant a place that was their lifetime home. There was a group of scoundrels who had appointed themselves the Great Nine Bandits, and they were seen as the best baddies in the area. They built up a school in which the children of the Illusory Perennial Domicile would come and study only survival skills. In such a small place appeared an orphan student named An Zheng who also came to study there. He was really a useless orphan in the people’s eyes due to his cowardice. They even said that he was a chicken who did not dare to do anything for himself even in fighting for himself, and no one cared about such a coward except a ten-year-old child, Du ShouShou, his only friend. As a result, he was the center for such baddies to cause trouble. However, no one knew that orphan An Zheng would change his life forever as he went to a dead end.

How powerful was that orphan? How much effort did An Zheng have to make in order to satisfy his passions of the devilish elimination? How would the life of his friend, Du ShouShou change after his after death spawn? And might the Great Nine Bandits be the invincible ones? Was he good or evil? Was his power strong or weak? Was his world in perfect order or chaos? They were all questions that the little child An Zheng needed to discover during his journey.

“Bring happiness to loyal people but chide the evil. However, if the treatment goes wrong, law will become a tool for the evil to force the good, preventing executors. Find a repugnant gateway to pass. Great things win cruel tricks. We learn from the idea of God but we reject the power of Him.”

This novel is repugnant, suffers from the same failures made by typical Xianxia and/or Xuanhuan novels.

Spoiler

Author failed miserably by trying to write himself into the story in order to "break the 4th wall".

[collapse]

  1. Like Peerless Martial God, author tried to spam as many unresolved mysteries, closed-room mysteries, origin mysteries, villain-hiding-in-the-shadow mysteries, higher tier existential mysteries, secret multiple identities mysteries which defies all logic and creates gigantic plotholes which threatens to destroy all of space, time and reality.
  2. Author's solution to the unresolved plotlines problem is to throw in retcons, deus-ex-machina interventions and power-ups. And when all fails, author just throws in a rushed final combat chapter and epilogue and shoves a "take-it-or-leave-it-Novel-is-cancelled-because-author-lost-interest-and-$" at the reader's face. (I kid you not, author wrote this at the end of the epilogue chapter).
  3. MC starts his "so-called 1st life" as a "Batman c*m Judge Dredd" character. After resurrecting in his 2nd lifetime, MC's character development gets progressively shameless, schizo and flip-flopping moral standards and angry-CN-MC syndrome (hotheaded teen, suicidal and causes massive collateral damage).
  4. Spoiler

When you realized that MC's 1st lifetime wasn't exactly his first and he had reincarnated multiple times.

    [collapse]
  5. Author proceeds to "borrow ideas" from multiple literature sources like Naruto, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Journey to the West, Spring Autumn Warring States, Classic of Mountains and Seas (Shan Hai Jing) while changing the First Names of characters to obscure Chinese words to avoid lawsuits. This in turns causes massive textual-diarrhea and great distress to translators.
  6. Character development is a revolving-door, when your sworn enemy becomes your best friend and vice-versa because of a retcon or simply because he/she was a clone after all or he/she was mind-controlled since the beginning of the time.
  7. Author lets you know that he hates Japanese by bringing in the usual racial-slurs and insults.
  8. When you thought the worst is over, author brings in cultivation via Smartphone.

It's an enjoyable read and I like the current progress. MC's actions are understandable as he was an old soul in a youngster's body.

The translation is kinda confusing as some words used were the synonyms of the actual words that is needed to be used. I.e the word, 'wounds', the translator used the word, 'trauma'. It's hella confusing at times. But still, cheers for the quality translation~

Seems alright (can go bad or good depending on the next chapters), but I can't tell more, since the translation is truly atrocious.

It almost seems like machine translation with very little editing (or no editing at all), with super weird sounding sentences, even ones saying the opposite of the true meaning, down to chapter 5 having the footer of the original page left intact (and translated).

Unless it's seriously edited, I can't recommend such a mess.
