But her husband came out early and returned late, and seldom spoke to her.
Yin Hui tried her best to warm his heart, but he brought back a widowed cousin to take care of.
Yin Hui: No way!
Husband: Go to bed first, we will talk about it tomorrow morning.
The result was that on that very night, Yin Hui suddenly went ten years back in time.

Entertainment: 3 stars
Overall: 3.5 stars bumped to 4 Oddly enough, the vibe of this novel reminds me of "To be a Virtuous Wife". It has that same mundane and understated quality but with less complexity and kinder characters. So if you have (unlike me) enjoyed TBVW, I think this novel might be right up your alley. *** The couple: Reborn MC, daughter of the richest merchant + cold and indifferent ML, shu son of a prince. Their relationship was taunt in the first life due to their difference in class and utter lack of communication. Once reincarnated to a year after their wedding and the birth of their son, MC decides not to be afraid of our frigid and stoic ML and live her life to the fullest. Our MC, having gone through 10 years with ML in the first life, has now a good grasp of the relationships needed to navigate the backyard of a Royal family and how to establish herself. So while there could have been opportunities to create a bit of tension between houses/courtyards, there's none really. Our MC's got it all figured out and since there's no genuine antagonist or villain either, it makes things somewhat peaceful & uneventful. What really saved this novel imo is the MC's natal family & her kids. They give the story depth and very much needed warmth. I wouldn't categorize this as a romance or a slice of life, but more as a chronicle of the 10 years they spent together as a married couple as they adapt to each other or specifically, the ML grows emotionally. This bit lasts around 100 chapter and then we have politics and battles (without MC as a real protagonist) for the next 88. The later parts are actually more fun and sweeter, since they don't center around the two. Honestly, I didn't like the ML for more than half of story. He later became more gentle (i.e. Domesticated) and grew to be more palatable. The kids were again the cutest part. Overall, it's not my personal cup of tea. All I can say is that this novel, while not quite fun/entertaining, was a passable way to kill time. And I managed to read it from cover to cover, which is rare lately. MTL is super decent
