Su Ling transmigrated into an ABO novel, and his imaginary male god Gu Liheng was the supporting cannon fodder of this novel.

In the novel, a cannon fodder shou sought refuge with Gu Liheng, using a favor gained previously to make Gu Liheng marry him. But after getting married, the cannon fodder shou went to pester the protagonist gong instead, framing the protagonist shou, causing Gu Liheng’s reputation to be damaged, resulting in his death in the end.

Su Ling decided to take Gu Liheng down before he gets forced into marriage by that cannon fodder shou!

Su Ling’s body fell softly on Gu Liheng.

“President Gu, let me smell your pheromones, I feel uncomfortable QAQ”

Gu Liheng handed him an inhibitor.

Su Ling gave Gu Liheng roses every day for a whole week.

“President Gu, I love you, can you marry me?”

Gu Liheng: “No.”

Su Ling: “…” Eff this.

Gotten tired of chasing people around, Su Ling decided to give himself a few days off.

The first day

Su Ling didn’t show up. Gu Liheng: “…”

The second day.

Gu Liheng: [Looking Out Of The Window]

The third day.

Gu Liheng knocked on Su Ling’s door and said: “Why don’t you come over anymore?”

Drama:
It mainly revolves around the spiritual plants which were interesting at first but got a bit boring for me since there was no other major drama besides that.
Spoiler

MC's family didn't know that the plants were given to him by his mother or else they would have not have agreed to MC breaking off their family relationship. MC's mother background got exposed and people are doubting that the plants are actually MC's. Later on, we see 2 people trying to proclaim that the spiritual plants are theirs and want it back because the MC posted on his page that if the spiritual plants are proven to be not his mother's then he will give it back.

[collapse]

Relationship
I like the relationship between the MC and the ML. It's not your typical ML chasing MC instead it's the opposite. Their relationship is also healthy and they communicate with each other whenever they have a problem.

Side Characters/Supporting roles
They don't get mentioned a lot. There are times where I was reading and just like "wait, who is this again? Is this a new character?". Some are also a bit boring/plain.

Character Development
Nothing I can say besides *Clap Clap Clap* Love the fact that the main cannon fodder, ML, and ML's mother has a change.
Spoiler

ML can't express his emotions well due to his childhood, scared of his mom a bit, and can't persuade MC in the beginning, but as the story goes on, we can see that he is facing all his problems. ML's mom was the cause of ML's trauma, but the reason why she did it was because her husband died which left a deep scar on her. ML's mom later found out that MC's grandfather was the person who killed her beloved so she took her anger out on him as well. As the story progresses, ML's mom finally decided to get therapy and accepts MC & ML's relationship. The main cannon fodder before he was rebirthed betrayed those that actually care for him for someone that doesn't like him at all. After rebirth, he wanted to get with the ML again and get revenge, but when he started having flashbacks of the people he cared about dying, he finally decided to let go of the past and apologizing to MC. (He finally found out why he was reborn again)

[collapse]

Overall, I would recommend this story for those that are looking for a light-hearted story with not a lot of dumb characters and those that are looking for MC chasing the ML instead of ML chasing MC.

One of the heartwarming one. Loved this novel. The story had quite new and unique concept.

Fluffy and warm interaction of MC & ML made my heart melt. Loved both of them. Should I say they were perfect couple?! Their child was naughty. Those 's' level plants were also funny and cute.

Can give a try if love heartwarming novels.இ﹏இ

Fluffy story, not much happen, all the possible schemes are solved in the next chapter if not in the chapter itself. A lot of possibility for making some difficulties in the relationship between ML and MC but absolutely nothing in the end. Just fluff and sweet.

Some plot holes but ok.

I read until the end just for the fluff and sweet moments, but the best part for me are the one with the plants.

I liked how despite being set in an ABO world it's very conscious and they are not crazy... more>> with just a sniff of pheromones.

Sad for no smut (∩❛ڡ❛∩) <<less

The story is rather flat for me.

It is cute, but mundane and just not that exciting. The translation is good, thus I gave it 1 more star.

[Chapter 20 at the moment]:

Uhh I just wanted to say, that there's a HUA CHENG!!!! There's a Hua Cheng character here!!!!! I just saw his name for the first time and AHHHH I HAD TO MENTION IT IN A REVIEW!!!!! I'll tell y'all more about his character later!!!

For now, he has red hair, he's an alpha, and he's "the second captain of the Leopard Mercenary Corps". He also has "a smile that reveals a row of gleaming white teeth"!!!! Seems kinda fitting ngl lololol

... more>> ___

Edit:... he doesn't have much purpose tho😭😭 just a side character that appears for a few seconds here and there oof

Anyways I FINISHED the novel and all I can say is... I love it!!! I really really like it! There ARE a few things that bug me but nothing major honestly. Really really cute.

No actually wait, there is a little something at the end that bugs me. THE KID. Now, I'm not expecting the kid to be all obedient like in all other Mpreg novels, and I'm not hating the kid himself, but... THE ML AND HIS MOM???? Y'ALL ARE SPOILING HIM TOO MUCHH AAHHH

Yep, the ML and his mom are spoiling the kid waaaayyy too much. When the MC wants to discipline his OWN child, they won't let him?? Like bruh let him discipline him!!! Let him spank the kid!! Istg even after that little incident in the end they almost didn't let him- and when they did, it was just standing in the corner for a few minutes. Jeez.

That's the only major problem I have with this novel. Guys, don't spoil your kids that much. Especially if they can be in danger or something.

You don't want the kid to be another Zhao Qi hm? Because if you continue, he really will become a second Zhao Qi. Tch. <<less

Tbh I really don’t like ABO world settings and most of the time I dropped before finishing such novels but this is really different.
There’s no mechs, Omega are really not viewed as completely delicate n birth machines.
The concept of spiritual plants is somewhat new for me in ABO world.
MC is great though he’s not OP nor is the ML but that’s what makes it more interesting.

Also MC is not like other ABO transmigrators who are running away from their O identity.

Lighthearted novel mixing both ABO and interstellar worlds. It is cute, full of fluff, with endearing characters and funny intelligent OP plants. One of the highlights of this novel is definitely the plants and their interactions with MC. MC SuLing is also a favourite of mine. I like straighforward characters like SuLing, who from the get go identifies themselves as gay, is mature and self-aware and is very honest about his likes and dislikes. He is no drama queen.

There is no real plot in this novel, mostly slice-of-life type situations... more>> but many chinese novels are like that. I don't get why readers are always complaining about this.

Also I see complaints about ML's trauma being treated lightly and wrongly!?! I disagree. This is light fiction, not a psychology textbook. ML did actually follow longterm treatment with a psychiatrist prior to meeting MC and only got better gradually when MC's presence in his life triggered many changes and emotions. This is just a simple easy read. No need to get melodramatic about it. <<less

So this book is a really refreshing slice of life. We see a hard willed omega shou contrary to the damsel in distress cliched abo theme. The gong is also really considerate towards the shou and does not portray traditional abo themes.

You know that feeling where you get, oh don't let anything happen to my babies (ml/mc) the author does that. They have a smooth flow. And it's not exactly fluff, just a practical slide of life fictional au. For me, it was a really long read and I felt... more>> a little bit dragged. But can't argue that this was a great work! Triggers!:su*cide at the beginning (but not gruesome. The whole novel is really smooth flowing) mental health. <<less

Spoiler

It's fine, not good but not bad enough to be unreadable.

The good point is the plot is a bit interesting, spiritual plants are cute. The last few chapters are cute too.

The bad points are a lot.

  • The MC is just so Gary Stu. Everything in the plot happened in the transition to university (like 3 months). He just so easily gets and tames really legendary (as in hard to get even a complete photo of) plants. His plants should be a secret thing since it will be a threat to both him and the plants but nope, the author just throws OBVIOUS deus ex machina just to get everyone know that "hey, I'm the MC and I'm the owner of these very rare A and S grade plants that none of you will ever have!"
  • ML is just so bland. There's this quote in novels "men are attractive when they're serious at work." I dunno about real life but in novels, it does add to the attractive points of an ML but here the ML and MC are always in the same frame! I just feel like the ML is some useless bum that's following the MC wherever the MC goes.
  • The overall plot is boring. It started okay, he's selling plant parts to get money but halfway through is deus ex machina just to get the ML and MC together. Every plot needs a catalyst to transition but its poorly written here that you already know what the author is gonna reveal or write next. There were many out of place plot devices such as Zhao Qi's useless rebirth, reveal of MC's background, orig!protagonist letting MC be orig!ml's escort to a grand party, ML having great panic attack enough to go coma but then wakes up after getting to the hospital and everything is a-okay like nothing ever happened, etc. It's also not fluffy enough to force yourself to finish it (I still finished it just to review but the last 10 chapters just flew). The only solace was they used mercenaries rather than soldiers lol.
  • The author is too into brain dead overbearing CEO novels. The ML can call for wind and rain just to save a missing MC. He calls for a lot of aircrafts just to save an MC that went missing in a mountain in his backyard.

It does have some merits if the plot and characters have been polished and written in detail but if you're looking for really good and comprehensive stories, you should veer away from this. This is fine if you're bored enough or looking for a story to transition to.

I love the chasing game but halfway of its story they already got together. I also love the supernatural (?) plants especially Papa Xian and Uncle Long haha.

However, the story just dragged on and I lost interest. I love MC and ML's dynamics tho.

The story is okay nothing that’s particularly awe-inspiring and I can't really call it awful. I will say the characters felt a little bit stiff to me. I did enjoy the MC's personality, the ML wasn't my cup of tea but he wasn't terrible. No real power dynamic between MC and ML despite ML being 10 years older. One thing that struck me odd is that despite it being 87 chapter plus it felt so short.

It is overall a nice quick read (maybe a few hours at most.)

Personally a fav, because MC is relatable to me in sense of searching security, also he is persistent and straightforward and I like it, the description is totally a misunderstanding and don't misjudge, ML already likes the MC then the action in description is happening but because he doesn't want to involve MC in his problems he rejects, through the novel you will understand

Nice cute read with a few good plot twists. Plot wise, I feel everything was just surface level which created a lot of plot holes plus a feeling of incompleteness.

Plot holes (spoiler alert)

Spoiler

1. What is the purpose of the college exam when he never attends college? 2 mins of fame? His plants give him enough of that.

2. People conveniently forget MC is "Stinky Su". No-one knows or interested to know how he is cured. I expected Zhao Qi to make a fuss about it.

3. We could have gotten so much more drama with the Su family but nada. I expected our alpha to kinda punish them a little for neglecting og MC.

4. The IQ of characters is sometimes questionable

-e.g. MC & ML don't question or investigate how mc's background suddenly appears online.

5. Howw & whyy doesn't Mrs Gu find out her son was involved in an incident after her probing Gu An? (This really pissed me off).

[collapse]

I could go on and on. But point is there was wasted potential to make this a great read.

The villains are actually chilling. The fact that one of them started scheming from the age of 6 really broadened my horizons. <<less

A novel that subverts expectations in a very gentle way. It’s better to read this with minimal spoilers, not because there are some amazing plot twists, but more that the stories flows really well and it’s a very safe journey. Nothing too bad happens but there are still little moments of tension. Recommended as a relaxing read on a good day.

Good read. Although the last 10 or so chapters had a sedate feel even though the plot was compressed. MC, Su Ling, transmigrates into an omega that had committed su*cide. MC is the logical and somewhat carefree type. ML, Gu Liheng, is a reserved alpha. In the novel, ML has a bad ending due to marrying a villain. MC wants to save ML from this fate so he chases after the ML.

Spoiler

The original owner of MC's body had a bad childhood since his mother died when he was 2 years old. His dad and stepmom wanted to force him to marry using a matching system since his pheromones stink like rotten eggs. After transmigrating, MC legally severs ties with the family and claims the inheritance left by the deceased mom. It is a fragrance bar and three A-level spiritual plants. These plants held a clue to cure MC's smelly pheromones.

MC meets ML and trades his S-grade plant product for ML's services. MC chases ML and ML does fall for MC but ML has a psychological illness so he wanted to cure it before dating MC. They'll eventually get together with MC's pheromone problem getting resolved after MC picks up a S-grade spiritual plant.

Currently a 3.5/5 for me

So far quite okay for the plot. Character-wise, there are times when I find the MC really s*upid - not because of his young age but just because I find his actions aren’t well thought of.

Spoiler

For example, on time MC read that alphas should remove their inhibitors while exercising, because it will fee uncomfortable. So he goes ahead to ML to check if he is ok because he didn’t take off his inhibitor while working out (valid, because MC, who is an omega, was there). MC ended up reacting to the ML’s pheromones because by the time MC got there, ML had already removed his inhibitor. Another time when MC went out to eat with ML, MC purposely removed his inhibitor to let ML smell his scent. I got so confused and annoyed here because this is plain s*upid and he had the audacity to be surprised by ML’s reaction? MC pls stop biting urself in the foot. You say you’re an adult who knows how to take care of yourself, but you keep doing this in front of ML, which also endangers the ML.

Will continue on with the rest of my review once I finish the novel. <<less

Didn't finish.

This was quite nice for a relaxed reading but I later on got bored. I was honestly waiting for when he would go to college because it seemed like a huge motivation for our MC and the original host.

It wasn't really bad. Just that by the time I reached this point, I was already satisfied and wasn't that interested in what comes after.

It's cute. It's fluffy. Not much spice. It's just the kissing and wake the next morning type.

You have characters processing and dealing with their problems in healthy ways. The ML is in therapy and learns he deserves love.

Spoiler

the mum gets the help she needs with her trauma. The "villain" character eventually realises that he needs to stop carrying his previous life with him and see this as a do over and a fresh start

[collapse]

I was confused by the mention by the uncle about how they never found the dad's body and couldn't confirm he died. They just took the fact that none of his accounts were every touched and he didn't contact his family to prove that he was dead. Was wondering if that was going to go somewhere like he was on a planet with amnesia or something. But it ended up just being a throw away line.

The plants are such funny characters.

This is just a sweet, slice of life story. There isn't much action or responses from the "villain" characters. The MC's unpleasant family fade away pretty quick. The original troublemaker pops up a couple times with limited screen time and the evil uncle is dealt with quite quickly.

I really liked this story and will read it again. It's a great refresher story for when you have read something heavy/complicated/emotional/etc before you find the next one.

It's just a sweet and gentle story with some funny plants and healthy relationships where couples talk about their feelings and respect eachother. <<less

A capable chemist rebirths into a canon fodder character in his favorite book. Coming from our world he entered a world of six genders and pheromone induced experiences. He encounters prejudice due to his own unpleasant pheromones.

He’s a pleasant character: straightforward and affectionate with a brain. His decisive pursuit of the ML is fun. Once they are officially together, I felt less invested in their relationship. I was still invested in the story.

In this world spiritual plants achieve varying levels of intelligence. The spiritual plants our MC encounters are all... more>> delightful. Seeing what new, strange or quirky thing they would do next never felt old.

The world building does what it needs to. The secondary characters are by and large weak with only a few being developed beyond a walk on need for the plot.

Truthfully, I almost always despise omegaverse stories because of the built in problematic sexism and propensity of r*pe. This story does mention a forced mating but it doesn't happen to our leads or their immediate friends. The sexism... even in this story it almost killed my desire to continue. If that isn’t an issue for you, you’ll enjoy this even more than I did.

If it is, know that despite the inherent flaws in the cultural set up, the fairytale joy that permeates the spiritual plant interactions all the way to the last scene never failed to make me smile. Give it a try. <<less
