Past life, her spirit root was dug out from her body. She had wholeheartedly dedicated herself to the just path, but she was sentenced as an evil demonic cultivator.

Returning back to her juvenile years, she turns the tide. Against natural order, she had been reborn. Those who had deceived and humiliated her, she would return it to them a hundredfold with additional thanks.

Studying her own blood vessels, she recasts the best quality spirit roots. She destroys those rascal clansmen and returned home with glory!

The rules of the world do not hold her down; this time around she kills through the righteous path.

He is the universally admired spirit emperor, high above others, cold, proud and aloof. But every night he sneaks into her room and takes liberties. “Little runt, won’t you think it over?”

“Do I have a choice?”

“You can choose from giving birth once or giving birth twice.”

“Why must I?!”

“Because you stole my heart.”

Its a good story. Less detour/filler/nonsense chapters and very straight forward. Can't wait to see what will happen when the continent will be invaded and how she will change the course of her life.

I wonder how will the silver wolf win her heart since she definitely not warm towards the real him. Go for it author!!! Your story is awesome ~♡

It's difficult to recommend this series. It's not particularly bad. But it's not really great either. People who like this genre would likely appreciate it so long as they're not looking for anything particularly original. There's just two problems:

  1. The chapter length. After the first one, each chapter only contains about 20-30% of the content you'd expect from a normal chapter. Not because it rambles on (though it can), but because the character count is simply that low. It's chapter 41 already and barely anything has happened.
  2. The translation speed. There's only two chapters a week. So, on average, you'll only get the content of 2 normal length chapters per month. I expect to die of old age before the translation catches up with the original, assuming it doesn't get dropped.

A good read if you don't have anything better do to.

At first it was really good. Like, "omg! I found a treasure!"-kind of good. But the more you read, the more repetitive it gets, along with loopholes and stuff.

Pros:

    1. It's still entertaining from time to time.
    2. It's funny. The comedy is there.
    3. She isn't a killing maniac. She doesn't kill unrelated people. Or a whole clan just because of a crime a single person committed.
    4. I like the slow romance. But hopefully it wont be too slow.
Cons:

    1. In the story, she promises to protect her people but somehow, she seems to forget about the said people more often than not. It's like, after they got mentioned, they then get erased from the story. Not important at all. Tossed at the back of her mind. She wants to be stronger in order to protect them but she doesn't really take time to look after them from time to time. She just goes on her own time to level up. And when accidents happen, she goes "what happened?!". Seriously.
    2. So repetitive. Gets bullied. Gets power-ups through whatever means. Gets bullied again. Gets power upped again. The cycle goes on.
    3. The story progresses too fast, leaving so many loose ends. No closure of one arc to another. Just, jumping right in.
    4. It spends so much time in leveling up that the author somehow neglects the time frame. Author would make the MC go from one powerhouse to another with the "reason that MC needs to stick there so she can save who she needs to save" but it takes so much time just for her to save people. Take for example, the kids she encountered in the first continent. She hasn't saved them yet. Half of the story is for her to save her family. Then the other half up until now is to save the kids. Seriously... author you are losing your touch.

Even though long, cliche and there are lots of BS, I did stick on this novel till the end because I loved the side characters, there are some scenes that is quite funny and would love to see a grand reveal for the mystery of the MC's origin (her parents, background etc) and also about the heart of the heaven. Yet, the author rushed near the end, like using lots of time skips and the pacing was messed up! The ending was also quite abrupt and there is no impact... more>> and such.

Spoiler

The rushed part starts after the MC returns from the "causal tunnel" (used google translate and this is what it says) that was opened up by a dog? Though I really can't understand what initially happens when she entered that "causal tunnel", all I can get is she was dying and was saved by the ML again and then after, it turns out they go back in time 10, 000 years ago. All is well and then, when she came back, lots of time skips and the pacing!!! I really can't tell anymoree because of the info dump near the end. The upper bound was mentioned and I thought she would have a bout of adventures there but unfortunately, because the author really wants to finish this up already before the MC goes and dominate the upper bound the author destroys it first. Then she introduces the final boss for the final showdown without further ado.

[collapse]

The romance? It was so dry that I really felt thirsty because of my parching throat at the end. Li Yan (the ML) is so'so, but author really not explained (till the end, mind you) why he's s attached to the MC and why he liked her? And the MC? I dunno, she just makes me cringe and I think she's not suitable to be a fML in a romance genre.

Well this is me sticking up hoping for a satisfying read but the author just rushed and forced the ending instead. I really don't want to give this even a single star but because I really pity myself on finishing this novel, so 1 star be it. <<less

As a raw reader, and as what the other reviwers had said, this novel is not the best but it ain't the worst either. At some point I even go "Eh, it feels like I've seen this somewhere before".

With a total of 2k chapters now I've only binged up to 1.4k. And for those that wondered, the first continent saga ends at chapter 1222.

Although it's mediocre, it actually had loads of plot twists at the back. And there's even case where you thought the truth is revealed, it will throw... more>> another bomb on you. Worry not, the twist within twist only happened is countable with one hand.

Even though it's mediocre, how can I bring myself to binge that much? Answer is that, the reason I started it is due to how I have nothing to do, I was taken at first but later on grew bored. And that's when those twists and turns hit me hard.

Spoiler

Example:

1. The ML.

2. FL's heart.

Oh, boy these 2, in and of itself really caught me off guard. And it's the only ones I can mention as more than that is spoiling the whole saga.

[collapse]

And of course, the interaction between FL and her companions.... or rather with the ML

Spoiler

before I delve into the interaction. Let me say this. The pre and post of the final major arc for the first continent saga is a real plot twist and tear jerker. It's just that impactful. :') I cried for the whole of those 2 parts very hard. And I'm not the type to cry over stories that easily. When I expect something to work this way, it goes the other.

And so now off to my fave interaction between FL and ML (I'm sure for those that read this will feel the ML here is very different from the one currently, and well I did mention in the first spoiler part so don't be thrown off guard. This is also one of the reason I find this refreshing as it is different from the usual ML troupe.)

Ye QingTang did not look at him and observed the reaction of the guards outside the room. Seeing that they were not behaving weirdly, she then retracted her gaze and closed the door of the room.

"Saintess, by keeping a resident of (some place) like me, I am very thankful for it. But if Saintess wants me to repay the gratitude using this way, this me can only do so as you wish."

Just then, his voice entered her ear.

Paying back for the gratitude? What does he mean?

Ye QingTang was confused by what he had said, and when she turned her head to refute him, she saw....

He is now openly lying down sideways on her bed. The clothing that were neat earlier has now became sloppy as she had roughly pulled him and hjs fair collar bone and neck appeared in front of her eyes

"......"

Why did she just throw him onto her bed...

"What are you waiting for, Saintess? This me had already prepared myself."

He blinked intently at Ye QingTang with a gaze that is filled with deep feelings and slightly pulled the clothing hanging on his shoulder.

Ye QingTang: "......"

Please give me a break!

"Stop what you are doing right now"

Seeing how he was about to strip himself in front of her, Ye QingTang dashed towards him and grabbed onto his clothing, wanting to cover him up properly.

In the end....

"What the! Are you guys that thirsty!"

X that had walked over after hearing some sounds from the next door had a very shocked face upon seeing the two person that that are on the bed.

Ye QingTang is currently on top of him and grabbing onto his clothes with a very ferocious face.

*skipping a little*

"Saintess?"

He grinned while looking at YQT that was wearing a mask.

YQT gained her senses and hit his head and jumped away from him as if he's a plague.

"Stop with that title! Wear your clothes properly before I throw you out of the room!"

"Eh, Saintess don't want this me already? What a pity."

"Call me that one more time, I will hit you until you can't move!"

He lightly laughed: "If you used some other way and caused me to be unable to move, then I will be more than willing to do so."

YQT let out an Augh and closed her ear.

What did she just hear?

Thanks to the mask on her face, or not he will be able to see what extremely red face she had.

"What are your business here? Just spit it out."

He lightly laughed. Seeing how YQT is right now, he then stopped teasing her.

[collapse]

Yeeeaap, the scenario on the above had me squeled and laughed very hard.

A little of a major spoiler,

Spoiler

at one point of the time during the final arc in first continent saga, the ML eventually saved FL's life in exchange for his without FL knowing. Yup, he's very protective of FL and don't even bat an eye in making those that harmed her pay for it. He's also extremely intelligent as well. How? In some sense he's even more intelligent than any other MLs in other series that I've ever read....

[collapse]

Though one do really need a great amount of patience to wait for those to happen, but it's worth it. If not coubting FL personality, the plot and ML itself is a very good deal. <<less

Much less detailed compared to Unprecedented Pill Refiner, another similar type by the same author. We don't really get a sense of how strong she was in her previous life or anything about what skills she possessed. Everything she can do is not a skill or piece of knowledge unique to her, it is something that everyone can do or common knowledge before her time leap back. Also, translation is odd, like the translator doesn't realize they are translating a Chinese novel or common conventions for it. For example, Ch... more>> 16 has the line "If she was any Tom, Dick, or Harry, he could have easily gotten the attendants to chase her away." Tom, Dick, and Harry are western names and most certainly did not exist in the raws. This is a Chinese novel mate, white names break immersion. Just don't use phrases with such obvious cultural differences, no matter if the raw sounds weird. Furthermore, the translator uses the word "valediction" in ch 8. Know what that means? Neither did I, apparently it's the farewell gesture. Notes state that the raws describe the action (crossing one's right palm & left fist in front of the chest). Just translate the raws mate, we don't need fancy terms that get in the way. That, and this is a cultural thing, how are people supposed to learn if you don't include it in the actual translation?

Edits as I read: ch 30 Fire beasts -> Ifrits. Dafuq mate? This is China not Fantasy Europe. Also buoy, dafuq is this? And no, it's clearly not the ship marker.

Another one I remember as it was mentioned again. Sabbath, the Christian holy day of rest, lol dafuq <<less

So far, the progress is good. I liked the progress though that green tea beach really annoys me. Anyway, I like the MC's character and the ML... hehehe. Frankly dear ML, I just want to slap you sometimes, like make a move man! I'm dying already. And when you had a chance, you only took a brief kiss! A! Brief! Kiss! And that was the only time! My appetite is not filled! Sigh. Why the heck are you such a gentleman... Tho it's heart warming how much lengths you go... more>> through in thWe dark to help our MC. But why cant you be shameless like Wu Yao lol. I'm dying for some action hahaha.

Spoiler

About that, don't be fooled about the ML. You'll be clear as to why around chapters 800 or 900+ I guess? Haha. Yeah, and he'll appear around chap 800+ If I'm right the title is, The Mysterious Youth~

once I started I couldn't put it down. It has similarities with other novels of the same type but it also has an edge that makes it stand out. For one, I like how the ML was content to stay as support all throughout. There was no taking the limelight from the FL. For a female lead type of story, with romance, this is quite interesting. And although it has sweet spots, it never strayed from the theme of getting stronger and achieving set goals for the FL.",)

p.s. This... more>> novel has 2700+ chapters, if you can't read past atleast to 1200, I suggest you don't comment. It really unfair to the translator and to other readers. <<less

Pure action & cultivation! Loved it till around chap.1100. Still recommend since it's a quick & fun read.

This novel has all the components I like in cultivation novels: rebirth, overbearing & confident MC with zero qualms + ambition, weak-to-strong trope with exponential growth, cultivation, no discrimination & disparaging comments against women (shocking right??), formulaic but decent fight scenes with satisfying & expected outcomes, treasure troves left and right and finally...a bit of romance.

Add to that a hardly ever seen, yet always sought after (at least for me) unicorn in the... more>> genre... a female MC. Y'all... I was a happy camper:) Downfall lies in it's quality: this is clearly a popcorn cultivation book as it lacks a clear cultivation method and levelling system and would rather prone actions scenes. Still very enjoyable.

The first 80 chapters are painful to read but the chapters are short so it goes by quickly. Then the action picked up and never stopped ever since. I'm now at chap.700 and still on a roll. Who would have thought? Also, there's a lot of fillers. Didn't bother me since I learned quickly to detect and skip some paragraphs to get to the good parts.

Edit: After 2 days of reading I'm now at chapter 1100 and well, I can definitely tell the author lost the story. It has started to become a jumbled mess... sigh. But not surprising if you've read enough of this author's works. So I can only say... goodbye my love, it's been very good though and definitely no regrets :) <<less

As much as I'm upset at the rushed ending I can't give this book anything lower than 5 stars. Yeah there were some plot holes, Some boring moments but it's still a lot better than other cultivation novels. This book was truly a journey. A journey I fully enjoyed. So thank you Author and Thank you Translator 😊 ❤️

Good if you're reading this solely for adventure. But don't expect much on the romantic development between YQT and LY.

But I liked it when the author finally tied up loose ends in places she stayed in, kudos!

Among North Night's novels, I like best GDBBM and Peerless Alchemist. This novel is only a runner up as like reading danmei with romance in it. 😆

I'm not certain how this novel got such a high rating when its intolerable. The author's lack of literary talent was apparent even on the earlier chapters. This novel should have been shelved to prevent other people from reading it as to avoid wasting their time.

The author most likely exhausted their ability to write a good novel hence we unfortunately ended up with this tr*sh.

The MC only appeared powerful because she's surrounded by incompetent, mentally challenged, cowardly, utterly useless and waste of space people. These are some of the most... more>> irritating factors on this worthless novel:

1. The author made it appear as if becoming an inner sect was a very rare opportunity but then a few chapters after, the MC's so called companions (in reality, burdens) started getting promoted for no rhyme or reason. They were just there to irritate the readers.

2. The MC was an overconfident and condescending person but the author kept on trying to portray her as a smart, skillful, and emphatetic person. The author basically used their mediocre story telling to hammer that down and shove it down our throats but the suceeding chapters will show the lapses to prove otherwise.

e.g.

A) After she won the assessment, she had to get her weapon but instead of showing the scroll as a proof that she won and get it done, she had to wait until the warden was throughly critisized (for doing his job) by the deciples around him before finally providing that necessary proof. She did it purposely just to get the attention of the people around her and to showoff her greatness. Without her protagonist halo, such behavior will be perceived as arrogance.

B). Her fellow deciples get killed, she would then appear to rescue them, ramble on and on and then let the perpatrators go because she cannot be bothered with them.

3. A lot of showing off happens first and the MC will have to ramble for half a chapter before dealing the final blow which usually missed because the author needed the "sense of urgency" to move the story along. 4. The author kept on trying to portray her as a genius and powerful protagonist but she's only able to defeat inconsequential people and most of the time, only when a lot of people are watching to comment on her greatness but she's unable to kill nemesis that can cause real damage.

E.g. She was fully aware that letting Ningluo escape can cause the annihilation of her sect but she just had to show off first before trying to really kill him. Moreover, after all the unnessary flare just to emphasize how powerful she was compared to the other deciples around her, she failed to do so. What a let down.

What's the use of all the powerful talismans she took from her previous kill? She could have used them before everything went out of hand but she had insist using her skills even if they were useless just so the deciples watching can comment on her repetitive progress (she will get a pill that's supposedly so difficult to acquire and power up and do it over again).

This novel deserved a 1 star rating (just because of the stellar translation nothing else) but the author should hone their skills first before writing another novel for the masses to read. This level of writing should not be shared with readers. <<less

So, to others that liked the other novels of this author, you probably would like this one less bc it's not your type of novel. But for me, this was perfect, the romance is close to nonexistent, it focuses on the FL and some arcs are so interesting. If you want a story with a consistent plot where the MC gets more and more powerful in the same setting, builds a country/clan, and just shows off her MC charm to different mls, don't read this. In this novel the MC... more>> is hardworking and gets powerful, but there are always ppl more powerful and she greatly improves. There is not a lot of pill making/clan making since she likes to be solo and her identity changes a lot with each arc (haha she's so gud at stealing identities if you know what I'm talking about). But I loved a lot of characters and arcs and with the fact this novel is about 2700 chaps, the story would be srsly boring if it were the same characters, so I enjoyed the arcs. The ending was a HE but I didn't really like it and I agree that I would rather read a bit more chapters for a more grand finale, and that speaks a lot about the quality of this novel bc I drop 90% of the novels I read, especially novels with thousands of chapters. In all honesty I dropped all of the author's works other than this novel, so ppl with the same taste as me, and liked the Nanomancer and leveling up stories instead of novels like, Ghost Emperor Wild Wife: Dandy Eldest Miss, would definitely like this. <<less

At this point, I've read all of North Night's novels. If I were to rank his/her four novels, it would be: (1) Genius Doctor: Black Belly Miss, (2) Unprecedented Pill Refiner: Entitled Ninth Young Lady, (3) The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady, (4) is Rebirth of the Strongest Female Emperor.

The romance in GDBBM and UPRENYL both appeared early in the story, but that's not the case in this one. The romance first appeared in chapter 883. While characters were introduced early, I did not really like... more>> the ML at first. Then, a plot twist was revealed about the ML and suddenly, my dislike for the character was supported and my like for the ML emerged. It's confusing, see spoiler to understand.
Spoiler

ML that appeared early on in the story was actually just a shell that acts on instinct and has no thoughts. The actual ML, with the heart and soul, already has a different body and identity. So apparently, I disliked the ML's original shell, but I like the actual ML.

[collapse]

This happens at the Dragon Vein arc and that arc deserves 5 stars. Basically, the story is all about becoming stronger to take revenge and avoid the calamity of the past life so romance was quite ignored.

The Broken Engagement tag is for the ML. However, it was irrelevant and the story will still progress even without that part. It did not even last, the ML got rid of it quickly. <<less

I must to say I dissapointed with this novel.

If u read Blackbelly miss or seventh young lady before this one, u will agree with me that this novel is a downgrade of those two.

the plot is so cliche and drag as long as possible. MC family is too dumb and naive as one of the big family. MC lack the ruthlessness of MC type. idk if the author had lost his touch on how to make a good plot because this novel is as good as other 3rd grade novel... more>> out there. Since only 23 chapters have been translated so far, the only thing I can comment on is the beginning of the story. However, the beginning is what motivated me to write a brief review along with the 5 stars.

I read like some people watch TV and I hate taking time to write a review - soooo it takes a lot to push me to write. It is the beginning of the novel that motivated me enough to write. It is very unique and original. The rebirth part isn't but the... more>> beginning of the plot is not similar to others.

I hope the translator continues with this novel. When I started reading it, I knew only 23 chapters had been translated but it still didn't stop me from screaming an expletive. I just got that involved in the plot. Looking forward to more updates!!! <<less

Has a significant number of abandoned plots, some plot holes, and the ending is woefully rushed BUT it's such a page turner. The FL is strong and has her own established belief system that makes her grounded in her decisions. All the characters developed are fun and you want to root for them. The author also attempts to explain the FL's plot armory which I found impressive. The romance is characteristic of North Night's books since the ML just up and falls in love with the MC and so does... more>> the MC? No explanations given or even rationale for why - but since the romance is really inconsequential to rest of the story, it' s not a major flaw. <<less

First 900 chapters (translated chapters, since I don't read the original & not sure if translator chopped 1 original chapter into parts or not) were great!

Love how our FL struggled to get stronger and not getting everything handed on a silver plate, and even if it does, it was done with subtlety.

Then she finished Avicinaraka and whoosh, the OPness begun!

It wasn't bad--i even think it's about time--but there were some overlapping facts: what used to be thousand years become millions or hundreds years, like: a digit is not worth a... more>> number, but just a tool to underline something's amazingness of the ancient treasure or that sort.

Then there were filler arcs around chapter 1000s: okay okay it is no filler arcs, since the writer successfully integrated that to the story, but gotta admit that the writing's become long winded (the Ye vs Long family arc). Maybe that's author's way to refresh themself from writer's block--they can get sick of FL too.

All in all, my satisfaction level was pretty high, but by the time I write this review, it has become quite stagnated. A lot of chapters I just skim & skip, it usually is the start of a declining interest. I hope I can finish it though, since I'm halfway through & the romance is just a teeny tiny sparks and gotta admit, love the ML, & am curious about how they'd meet again.

Edited: rewriting after finishing! I took back my comment that doubted how the book had hit a boring period: it did yeah, the Ye vs Long arc was still the worst arc, and I'm glad that I skimmed the bad part and stuck to the good part, because during chapters ~1000, the pace & plot picked up, and gave us a well woven ending. It reminded me of another story where the FL ended up as the highest Supreme God, but this novel is better: our Ye Qingtang has emotions other than cold stares, pliable to situations, can be defeated, the knight in shining armor is so subtle and not only one person, the characters around YQT also varied & not monotonous. The ending is also not heavy on 'how insanely talented & adorable FL's kids are' but more of a closure about her friends: it's so good for me because I am so tired of how C novels put 'talented kids' on a pedestal. <<less
