The translation is good, some misspelled words here and there, but I felt that it was smoother compared to other translations.

I would probably just write this review to remind myself of some points.

It was really weird to read some r×cist undertones here. Dont usually read comments before I finish a novel, but they were right. All felt biased and one-sided, views on a country arent unanimous, people dont think that way.

It was real uncomfortable to read how blatantly it shows its propaganda. I finished it cause I hoped it could... more>> redeem itself, sadly it didnt.

I rated this novel 2 stars cause of the translators work, they did great but I wouldnt reread this again.

the villains are one dimensional and if you're looking for a good revenge, "Ill rise from the bottom and ruin you all" type of drama then this is for you. <<less

What can I say, it's a typical BL novel with a silly uke and a shameless seme. What the uke can't do, the seme can do too well and what the uke can do, the seme can do even better.
That being said, a typical BL isn't a bad thing, but it's not a novel where you go 'ooh' and 'ahh' with amazement. You get some laughs here and there, a little bit and sometimes a lot of 'kyaa' and just feel pleasantly warm and lighthearted.

I liked this novel a lot.

It was solid. The plot didn't require extreme suspension of intellect, the plot moved along in a steady pace.

The MC was very likable. His boyfriend was.... less so, but that was ok too.

He (the MC) had areas he was not that good at, and he overcame his obstacles and at least became 'ok'

I'm talking about his acting, he started bad and in the book he never got above being 'ok', but that was fine, he's a supermodel, acting was a side job for him.

My first novel. It has been a year since I read it, but has always been on my mind. It is such a good story! The plot flows smoothly with right dose or romance and face slapping. Though to be honest, I loved the fluff and the lead's character!! (✿ ♡‿♡)

SOOOOO LOVELY!

This novel is suitable for people who wants fluff. The characters are lovable and full of colors. The only downside is that in the later part of the story, the story is too smooth sailing without much conflicts. So th story lacks a bit of depth and exciting things.

I still had a good time reading it though _ (:3_ ∠) _

brilliant. Amazing. Defs one of my favorite rebirth stories so far. The MC is amazing, everyone is really, they’re all well rounded characters (except some of the antagonists but like, come on, we don’t really care bout them) and no one is OP. It may seem like MC and ML are OP at first but honestly that seems to be to emphasize their strength. MC was in his previous life the top super model so they focus on his great modelling skills at first. like overthinking things too much which seem to result in bad acting and cooking. Plus his writing is sh*t and yet he’s so proud but like in a cute puppy way like ‘look! I did this! Isn’t it great?!’ And everyone is like ‘...’

After reading quickly wear the face of the devil and god level summoner I didn't think I could encounter another bl novel as brilliant as them. But rebirth of a supermodel completely blew my mind. AN extremely brilliant read. You have character development sweet op and cunning MC as well as the dark ML with only eyes for his wife. AH how to let go. My biggest regret is that it ended too early. What should I read now?

Totally love this novel.

I like how Xiaoyu has his own characters, quite hard to please, , pity his husband. This proves that even a shou can still has his identity as a man, a grown up man at that matter.

I read this novel three times without even wanting to stop. I think I'm addicted to mushroom...??

The novel is just like any other entertainment/showbiz flow.

The novel is definitely beautiful- as beautiful as the MC.

The ML embodied the peculiarities of an artist with rare temperament and demanded perfection. You'll see more sides to him with his interactions with the MC, so you really don't need to worry about exaggeratingly domineering and stiff ML here.

The one thing I really love here is that the ML and MC are reaal~ly competitive. No holding back with facing each other in their modeling careers. No too OP ML nor weakling/dependent MC.... more>> They are equipped with talents and skills that put them in an equal battle ground and treat each other as equals and rivals at the same time. &Lt;3 <<less

I read the English translation of this novel twice. Reading the English translations, sometimes I felt that something was wrongly translated so I had to refer to the Chinese web novel website to read what exactly was going on to clarify what was going on and the feeling of the author. At times, I feel that the author has room to improve in her writing of certain scenes and make the scenes and (already rich enough) plot richer and more convincing. For example, the scene of the Ji and Ya... more>> fashion show where MY wore the wedding dress. I find this scene very haphazard and could be better due to the ability of XZ; and the extra chapters when XZ transmigrate to MY's original world. I feel that the author could develop and write more about XZ discuss with MY his "dream" and MY sharing more insights with XZ.

What I like about this novel - It has 2 handsome male leads - 1 super rich and powerful and the other who struggled and succeeded through his own handwork and effort. This novel describes life in the upper class of the modelling, fashion and entertainment world; how and what struggling artistes and models do in order to climb to the top. I love the cute interactions of the BL couple and the various lovable characters in the novel. <<less

I am done reading it a week ago but KYAHAAAH seems that I can reread it again for the third time! Love the wicked MC-ML tandem. Ming xiaoyu--our mushroom and Xi xiaoze are one of the best BL couple ? They always making me eat a pile of dog food!! ?

One of a few books that kept me so entertained that I pulled through and finished it in one sitting. Honestly the dynamic of the couple and the fluff is too much that I related to CP fans so much. It’s goodbye that Ming Yu didn’t be rely so much on Xi Ze and actually got to where he is with his own strength and some help from vindictive Xi Ze. The vinegar in this story is too much I loved it

A really interesting, fresh rebirth-troupe novel. The main character isn’t childish, petty and stuck up (like some rebirth novels).

Personally, I found this book very enjoyable and never got bored of it through all 237 chapters. It was satisfying watching the character grow as the story progressed, and I liked how the reader wasn’t bombarded with...”making love” scenes.

Also, I found the novel humorous at times, and rather cute.

I will most read this again, if I can find the time.

Rebirth of a Supermodel, in essence, tells the story of an overpowered MC that transmigrates to a parallel universe where his goal is to climb to the peak of the fashion industry as a supermodel. Along the way, he meets ML who, of course, is already sitting at the top of this pyramid. The inevitable happens, and we readers are brought along in a rather predictable path of story conclusion.

Pros/Cons: There are clear strengths and weaknesses to this series. Predictability was its biggest flaw, character development was practically... more>> nonexistent since both MC and ML was overwhelmingly perfect almost from the get-go. If you're in search for a series rife with angst, ingenious plot lines, heavy romance with eternal conflicts and misunderstandings, pronounced character growth... likely, this is not the series for you. However, even with these major flaws, it was undeniably a pleasurable read. The author saved this series with the wonderful pacing in the development of the MC and ML's romance. As a result, their strength of character and predictability actually turned this series into a casual, low-tension, fluff piece filled with humor and adorable moments.

Added Considerations: The translation was well done. I also quite enjoyed the way the author incorporated internet slang and fan culture to the MC and ML's relationship. It added elements of fluff I have yet to see in other novels. The translator's emoticons dotting throughout the series also added hilarity.

Favorite Quotes/Snippets: As an example of how the internet/fan-culture added to the likability of the MC/ML's romance, without giving too much away, try to remember this snippet below. You might not have too much of a reaction now, but when you come across it in the series again, reevaluate how it affects you.

One of the best novel out there their love story is just so heartwarming it was simple nothing fancy in their love it felt so natural and smooth and real and perfect I felt sincerity and I love the MC and ML so much sincerely

when the ML genuinely cried after witnessing the MC's sad first life when he died of sickness and how much he struggled my heart broke and I cried but at the same time I was so happy because it showed his love like sincere and beautiful feelings of love for the MC I was like "dont worry MC have you now you're happy together I'm sure until death do you apart you will take care of him better than anything else and protect him and love him" so thank you ML <3

I prefer Superstar Aspirations over this. Reason: This novel doesn't have much drama or angst in it (at least till chapter 99). I'm more into heavy plots than the typical slice of life drama... that's why I can't give it a full 5/5 rating.

Nonetheless, the novel isn't bad or anything. It's cute & very funny. The ML is hilarious in an awkward way and the MC isn't weak (which I personally like to see in a MC or shou). Therefore, their relationship is healthy & unproblematic.

When it comes to the... more>> plot....I never was that excited over it cause nothing crazy was happening. I think after around chapter 100 (?) it got better (drama-wise) but it's not like the problems which appeared were solved differently than the previous ones & that difficult to erase.

But for that you got to see their relationship and also much insight on their jobs which made keep reading this novel despite having some less exciting moments. <<less

I love this BL, this is novel is full of ML alpha-but-weak-to-his-wife vibes and I’m living for it. MC is a top supermodel reincarnated into a lesser, low-tier model in an alternate future world and strives hard to make it back to the top despite having the most golden of golden thighs being at his beck and call. And who doesn’t love an MC who can actually function by himself. The fluff level is overflowing and the romance between MC and ML is loyal.
