Okay. Let's talk about how exaggerated the author is.

Spoiler

What is the purpose of the Best Female CV Award?

To encourage the female CVs to work even harder. To appreciate their effort in CVing. To judge which female CV is the best.

And guess who won the Best Female CV Award in his first year?

It's Yan Mu Lin, the MC.

Wow author, could you be even more ridiculous?

Yes, YML is such a good CV he can CV for a female character. Yes, YML is so damn good his moaning can stimulate even the straightest man. Yes, YML is so great no one would know the voice of the female character Pan Jia Ling came from a man.

So what? Doesn't change the fact that he's a man.

Imagine a male actor who is so androgynous with sexy AF voice; acting a female character in a movie and his acting is so on point you would never expect her to be a him and he deserves a freaking award for it, what award should be given to him? It's the Best Male Actor Award, right? Because he's a male and he is a goddamn good actor that transcends gender.

Similarly, if YML is so f*cking good, he should have been given the Best Male CV Award.

The Best Female CV award judges the FEMALE CVS, not the FEMALE CHARACTERS.

And he got TWO of them throughout the novel. Wow.

Wow first comment, okay CV stands for Character Voice.

Happy this is being translated, don’t remember too well the plot being I read it 2yrs ago, but remember one of MC first auditions plays a girl voice, and later have to do s*x scene voice and competed with a female CV not telling who wins, but remember laughing at results. Thank you translators (*≧∇≦) 。+゚☆゚+。+:*┬ΗАикs。+:*。+゚☆゚+。

because of the picture I was expecting him to be cool, smart and temperamental (he looks like grown up Gokudera from KHR). I think the CV parts are interesting and the tv reality show has been fun but honestly I like the MC better when he's away from the ML and his brain actual works.

YML is yet another MC who is moderately intelligent on his own, especially in his specialized career field, but once he's anywhere near the ML all of his brains dribble out his ears and he becomes... more>> a typical naive idiot shou.
Spoiler

and of course, despite being in the entertainment circle as a CV for more than a few years he still managed to stay "100% pure, " just like all the other idiot MC's out there. This leads me to think that there must be a lot of 30 and 40 year old male virg*ns in China who somehow manage to gain zero life experience during their aging process before meeting truck-kun and being sent to a new and always younger body.

[collapse]

I'm curious about the ML and his revenge plans, but so far he's the typical rich domineering gong. I'm waffling between a 3 and a 4 but i'll leave at 4 in the hopes that the MC doesn't completely regress to the mentality of a ten year old child once they really get together. <<less

I dont know, but I think the author really is trying too hard to emphasize the MC's ability in voice acting. And because the author try too hard, then it feels too forced out. And I really think that the author should've learn a bit more about the voice acting (seiyuu) world. I'm truly agree with the top reviewer upstairs, what's the use of best female CV that the MC win? Really, even though the MC does a good job in voicing a female chara, the award he should get... more>> was best male seiyuu or best seiyuu of the year. There are many japanese female seiyuu voicing a male chara, or male seiyuu voicing female chara, and when they win an award for their chara they get it based on their own gender category, not the character's gender they played. That's it, I just want to say it that the author really try too hard, seriously, you dont need to try that hard to make the MC shine actually....

P.S oh noo, dont say that I shouldnt compare the seiyuu world in CN or JP, its not my intention, but really, everyone knows that JP is the holy land for voice acting, so what I want to point at is at least the author should learn the basic from the best source first, but again, sigh....i know the author just wanted to exaggerating the MC's ability, so well, its not about the basic knowledge, its maybe about the author's ability to make a proper 3D personality for a main character <<less

Love the theme and story. But the way the author tell his story is too narrative, sometime it become boring to read. So just 4 star for me

Edit after reading until chp 26:

Spoiler

i love the theme more now because the ML is actually a reincarnator and modern day prince XD XD

[collapse]

i am really very easy to be satisfied, so i'll give 5 star now haha

For me, it is more of an industry/career-centered story and romance is the side dish. +The ML was quite a discreet fanboy.

I definitely learned a lot about the world of Seiyuus (voice actors) in China.

If you're into interesting entertainment programs and shows, they play a big part in this novel.

And~MTL (with Baidu) works quite well

Unexpectedly good. I though to begin with that this would be an exaggerated and unrestrained reincarnation tale of revenge, and praise of MC's skills.

Though indeed there is some revenge and plenty of praise of the MC's skills along with the MC unrealistically constantly seeming to get female roles it is slightly rained in.

More interestingly there are some elements that details present in the pot that make this story a bit fresh and a hole lot more interesting:

Spoiler

MC isn't the only transmigrator. So far there is the ML and one other and none of them come from the same origin world.

[collapse]

Some of the elements concerning voice acting seem highly unrealistic, however, having the focus on voice acting itself is quite interesting and feels a little more fresh.

This story has left me pleasantly surprised, though admittedly I did not start off with high expectations. <<less

Ahhhhhh, I just can't get enough of this! My opinion may seem superficial and if you're looking for something that sounds professional, then I'm sorry, I'm not the one you're looking for!

Let me first of all thank the translator for doing such a great job at translating!

Sometimes when it comes to translating Chinese novels, the translator foregoes well-structured English for directly translating Chinese. And that, gets confusing for someone like me, who has next to no knowledge on the Chinese language.

Therefore, Lord Translator, thank you for making this great story... more>> a good English read!

I really like the concept of transmigration, systems and travelling back in time. I get that it's not for everyone, but I think every story is worth a try. If you don't like it, at least you tried to read it.

I personally love this story. It fits me perfectly! That it's a BL story makes me even happier ٩ (ˊᗜˋ*) و <<less

MTL-ed the whole thing, just so you know. Didn't bother with the TL.

Thought it was going down the cliche route, but it was FLUFFFFFF

I think that if the rebirth/transmigration troupe was not there, and a self-healing route was undertaken, this story would have been a gem! I'm not saying it was bad, but not the best.

Our MC, Mu Lin is an ambitious guy. He is looking for love and smexy time while pursuing his goals. Our ML, Shao Nuo Yu is looking for revenge because ... more>>
Spoiler

He is reborn too!!! But they don't confess it to each other

[collapse]

Mu Lin doesn't face-slap anyone (not even his cheating father). His mom was cheated on by his already-married father under the typical logic of finding true love. The mother left, and gave birth to OG MC, leaving him with Granma. The story of OG MC is sad, he dies in the hands of his stepbrother because of claustrophobia. But the whole death thing is just blown away like something insignificant. May the mother and son meet in heaven (yes the mom also dies, cheerio!)

In this story, everyone is nice, well except for the villains. But there is zero to some scattered clue to explain why the villain is villain.

This novel is not a super deep novel but is definitely an enjoyable one.

All in all, it's a good read. <<less

MC is op and so is the ML. While it is ridiculously unrealistic I am never bothered by overpowered lead characters.

Besides that, I quite liked how traditional Chinese culture was promoted in this modern setting. It was nice finding out about some parts of the Chinese culture and arts that I did not know about before even if not everything is historically correct since the MC transmigrated into a parallel world where the Opium wars and Cultural Revolution hadn't happened. I mean... the ML is part of the royal family... more>> and we know that the PRC doesn't have that because, ya know, communism. So yeah, take everything you read in this novel with a grain of salt. It's fiction after all.

In any case, I liked the plot even if it didn't have any unexpected twists and turns which would have added excitement. Overall, the novel was a relaxing read with an abundance of dog food for us single dogs. <<less

Barely a passable read. The achievements are overly exaggerated, the narrative is like reading a newspaper, and worse of all is not the cliche theme or plot but the lack of prep work 9n the MC's part.

The MC wakes up in a new body and doesn't take tie to adapt to his new vocal range but jump right in. He admits he needs to train his new vocal cords but nothing is actually done. His path to success is something millions of others take but somehow without training and adjustment,... more>> he succeeds in one go.

The MC lacks real challenges, training or all the other elements that take him from 2D to 3D.

The side characters? Not worth mentioning. <<less

I read this novel years ago but I didn't finished reading it. Now, I read it again and finished it.

Overall, its okey, just read it with no expectations.. Well in long run the MC turn to OP, but it the good part he had priority just focus on dubbing and the others are just only for guests.

The romance part, for me had no spark, the confession was too ordinary, and the 1st scenes of the MC and the Male lead was hilarious, the MC was hilarious no fun at all.... more>> Sometimes I think the ML was not thingking at all, I think he still care for his ex, and I dont think about the line that "both parties 1st time" the ML is not a 1st timer okey?

I recommend just read this novel with no expectations. <<less

I'll just get straight to the point.

The translation is pretty damn crappy and the pages aren't even linked correctly. Whenever I try to press "Next Chapter", I'm always taken to some random page. The story is so f*cking cliché to the point where I needed to bleach my eyes thrice.

I originally wanted to just straight up give it a one star, but the reason that I'm giving an extra star is that there are certain parts that made me laugh, so the humor in this novel is pretty good.

Yes, I... more>> have the mind of a shy teenage girl who likes to read "pure" romance novels, so the fact that the ML already had s*xual interc**rse with another man before the MC is constantly disturbing me. There are people out there who are able to tolerate more mature matters like these, but I guess it's just not for me. It's not really a flaw from this novel, but more directed at my personal tastes.

Plus, the ML is that typical alpha male who barely has any flaws, ect. It's like a rebirth revenge story with cannon fodders constantly thrown in their direction, but they solve with with great ease.

When I read the synopsis, I was really excited since I'm a VA, myself, but I was quite disappointed by reality. <<less

Okay, so I know that this novel and author both have their foibles. The characterization of the MC's abilities are too exaggerated, he should have won an award for male gender seiyuu and not female (problem with author's lack of research), and a few small other annoying elements. I think other reviewers have covered those aspects, so I will share what I found good about this story, and why I gave it 4 stars. (I first gave it 5 but later wanted to revise it to 4 given the limitations... more>> of the author)

First of all, the main reason why I tend to like certain stories even if there are faults is all due to my own past experiences. When I read novels, I tend to empathize with underdog characters and people who were bullied, because I have been bullied (a better term for it is emotional or religious abuse) for a long time by nearly all the most important people in my life. So finding a decent story, even with flaws, that are written about characters who were bullied (even if it's just the "original MC" or something), always tends to make me sit up and pay attention to a story.

That being said, the way that authors handle characters who get bullied is always different. Usually the characters I like are those who can try and do their best to keep a positive mindset even when they're mistreated, as well as those who can do a little to get revenge while also keeping in mind that life isn't meant to be all about revenge. But having an author depict a scene where a character is bullied into a state of mental illness, such as a panic attack caused by claustrophobia, is even more interesting to me. Because when I was a young teen, I was isolated and bullied at Sunday school by some hypocrites. It got to the point where I had a nervous breakdown at a church school extracurricular activity, including running away at night without any money or luggage (9 hours drive away from home, in the most remote region of our state, it was super scary lmao).

I think most of the good stories I've read, at least ones that I enjoy and consider interesting to read, tend to make me empathize with the life experience of the character. There are certainly plenty of drawbacks to the author's writing, but since I really like a story about a seiyuu, and I also like transmigration stories, as well as an interesting backstory for the MC and original owner, I am giving this 4 stars. If the writing were top notch, I'd give it 5. <<less

Would be a 4-5 stars if it has good translation and a good website.

But! Even with shitty translations I could still get by and love the content ahh! This is certainly my kind of protagonist, calm, collected, pretty, and has his own sense of humour.

+The main thing that makes me sticks to the novel is the romance, very interesting! For now it is brief with small meetings and secret longing monologue, ahh really cute & sweet! Can't get enough!

MC also looses his cool facade in front of his sweetheart, adorable... more>> with a crush aww. ML is also too hilarious and they both do not beat around the Bush! <<less

MC is a skilled CV (Character Voice) a.k.a. Seiyuu or voice actor who transmigrated into a bullied CV student. He start his journey to once again be the best CV. ML is actually a rebirth man, who is in a path of saving his family. Both the transmigration & rebirth story is not too important aside from providing MC with skill & ML with future knowledge. It may as well be a regular modern story. Still a good read for me.

I like the other works of the author of this story, and this one is the most... tedious to read. Idek hiw it happened, the other works are amazing and this one is just... fine.

Sometimes the author goes on and on about the background story of anime/movie MC has to do CV on. Just tell us in one go then move on to the actual plot lol.

The picture up there is really misleading. The guy in the pic looks cool and I think the MC would be like that too. But yeah no

Well the story is light with a lot of face slapping and no difficulties for both MC and ML. One thing I really like about this story is the Sheng family lol. They ended up being really funny and heartwarming.
