Qin Rou was a kindergarten teacher with a soft personality. In order to protect a child in the kindergarten, she was stabbed in the back by a wicked man, but accidentally she transmigrated as an arrogant and coquettish female supporting character whose personality was opposite of hers. The cannon fodder supporting character Qin Rou was an excellent female partner in the novel of 70’s Art Troupe. She served as a comparison tool to the heroine Xue Tingting, who was gentle and kind, and was rejected by the leader.

After transmigration, Qin Rou who after experiencing trauma of being mu*dered by a middle aged man got afraid of the fierce and tall military men who she performed for. How could she dare to stay? She just wanted to apply for discharge from the army as soon as possible.

Who knew that Qin Rou was blessed, and the leader asked her to go on a blind date with a man with a prickly personality.

“She has a fiery personality, so she’s just perfect for him.”

The ill-tempered Lu Yan, from a good family background, had made great contributions and was about to be sent to a certain island. He was asked to solve his personal marriage problems as soon as possible.

Lu Yan was arranged for several blind dates, and was famous because of his short temper, incomprehensible style, and countless beauties. Every girl who went on a blind date with him returned crying.

To give him a lesson, his father said bluntly, “Choose a girl with the fiercest character for him!”

The tempered guy sat down with the hottest Chilli Pepper on a blind date.

The girl Qin Rou returned from blind date with red swollen eyes as well.

But in a couple days news came that just after one meeting they agreed to marry each other???

Grandfather: (ノ=Д=)ノ┻━┻

The leader of the Troupe was dumbfounded: … Really?

Qin Rou’s fake sister: …Really climbed the high branch?

Lu Yan and Qin Rou got married.

“Look, they will divorce soon!”

“Can Qin Rou go to the island with him to live a hard life?”

The sisters in the troupe and Lu Yan’s comrades in arms all thought that after the two people got married, they would divorce in two years.

Who would have guessed that two years later, the woman hugged the child, and the prickly man honestly changed the diapers.

It doesn't feel sweet to me at all. Something I'd expect from a Romance-Slice of Life novel is the sweet interactions between husband and wife, their thoughts about their relationship, and the gradual deepening of feelings. I don't find MC and ML sweet at all, they're more like homebuddies who sometimes have s3x with each other. They don't really think about their relationship and they just suddenly go through the different stages of a relationship. I mean the elements of romance are there, but it's like there's no essence or... more>> soul of a romance story - idk how to describe it. I will not rate this bc it's not a bad story; it's just not very appealing to me. <<less

Very sweet text. I MTLd it.

The male lead falls in love at first site and offers marriage immediately. The story is focused on fluff, family raising and living on the island. Later when the college exams open, FL goes to college and does business. However, the story is still very family focused. There is very little drama/dogblood

Warning!! This is

SLICE OF LIFE!!

ML is a navy, graduated from military school. His family is also a military family.

... more>> MC is a beauty vlogger, kindergarten teacher, graduated with a course Arts and entertainment. She loves pearls.

MC hated the author. That author was her classmate in college. That classmate made the OG character as a fox and all horrible. She even made the stepfather of the OG character m-lest her when she was young! I should say the only good thing that the author classmate did was letting the OG chara have a good relationship with her big sister.

As soon as she came to the novel world she left the supposed to be protagonist side. She didn't give a fck. She got life and have much more important thing to do than go back to the story line.

She is perfect in everything? When MC was doing business she always left it. Making everyone wants to steal and poach people. But MCs business became successful because of the workers and not herself. So dont say that she is perfect here. She just gives idea and people around her helps her to make it happen. She was just an anchor, confident that she can do this and people around her trusted her so it became reality.

She was a kindergarten teacher but also a beauty vlogger. She should have been in entertainment for having beautiful face, can dance, sing (which is a normal talent that people in entertainment should have.). She loves pearls so she wants to have pearl business. Im sure you have seen lots of beautiful jewelries. She just got the ideas from them.

She saw that someone can sew she talks to them that they should do this design and so on. She saw her nephew likes to draw buildings, she gave him idea " What about the inside of the building?".

We always see wedding photos or models in the beach. Why not gave people idea of taking pictures in the beach?

She is a mary sue? Well, having idea becomes mary sue? Having talented people surrounds you become mary sue? (Actually I dont know what mary sue is.) All I see is MC giving Ideas and her confidence made it happen. Then we can say that there's a lot of Mary sue in the entertainment industry.

This novel only portrys what MC can do.

I just love the characters that surrounds MC. Also how the problems dont stay long. I guess MC has a Koi physic since original world.

Every people who visits MC and MLs house: What the fck with this rolling pins?

ML: My collection. My wife bought it. *Proud

MLs parents visiting MCs house pt2: why is there a lot of photo of my son here?

MC who just misses his husband: cough cough

MCs first best friend.

  • Is obsessed with jackfruit
  • Gay for mc
  • Is described as jumping mushroom.
ML waiting for MC to finish her work.

Also MC: I really want to try going home with big leaves as umbrella.

ML:......

Playing house

MC: Did you play house with your friends?!! Were you the dad??!!

ML: No we play destroy the enemy.

MC: oh good

*Children grew up*

Little Zhangs wife: DID YOU PLAY HOUSE WIG SOMEONE!! AND THEY SAID YOU WERE THE DAD!!! WHO WAS YOUR WIFE!!!?

Little Zhang: Yeah, my wife was liu (a male)

MLs third sister getting pregnant be like.

Lu parents: WHAT?! Did you get someone pregnant??

Third sister: IM THE PREGNANT WOMAN!

Them talking about MC and MLs blind date.

MCs sons : WOW! so if you dated earlier we would be much older now!

ML: You were an accident.

The story is soo sweet! Its not full of s-x. Not like other novels that when the ML comes home he only want to have sx. ML here when he comes home he would have a bonding moments with his wife. MC to is not so career oriented. She focus on both family and business. Both protagonist became an example of loving family.

I also like that when MC was pregnant MC and ML spends time bonding, talking, and playing instruments for the baby in the tummy. <<less

So nice.

A little different from other 70s background novels because they were not farmers but a military/navy family community. The people have a rather comfortable life and so they are nicer. There are faceslaps but they can be quite funny. Like the neighbor who likes to compete, first competing as a virtuous couple, but transformed into a virtuous husband and spicy wife because of the Main Leads. It's quite a light read but also heartwarming because of the families.

Novel not recommended to read, mainly to skim.

Original:

Already MC incredibly OOC, Mary Sue-like talented, and mocking the possible creator of the novel she crossed into because she's upset. A really horrible start especially since MC knows what happens in the novel and what her attitude will do. Baffling how the MC acts but she's already perfect in everything, exotically beautiful, and talented. No point in reading any further.

  1. Edited: Basically after the first 5 chapters MC meets ML on a blind date where they go to a movie, ML falls instantly in love, and bam they married. Rest of novel is just blissful married life. Very bland but serviceable and sweet! Still a bit to mundane and empty though. -700tril/10 A weak story.

Very sweet. Only negative is that the plot drags a little but it's a good slice of life novel without much drama.

Please note that the translation of this novel wasn't finished yet. You had to continue reading the MTL to finish this story. Even so, I couldn't find the extra chapters anywhere. Please message me if you had a link to the raw novel.

I generally love transmigration and child raising novel. So although this novel wasn't something new, I still find it enjoyable to read. You would probably find most of these scenes in other 70s novel:

  • MC married and had children early and she married a loving man with high qualities and became an envy to everyone.
  • MC was a Mary Sue who still attracted other men although she's already married.
  • MC went to the college after the resume of college entrance examination.
  • MC built her own business empire and became rich. She also gave opportunities to people around her.
  • MC applied modern parenting style to educate her children and the children grew to become a smart, talented, and well-behaved children. Once again, she became an envy to other parents.
  • There were several face slapping moments involving people who was jealous of MC.
MC's life in this novel was very smooth sailing, whether in marriage or in other aspects, so some of you might find it a little boring. She and ML had a flash marriage and it didn't take long for them to fall in love.... more>> There's never any misunderstanding between them and even ML's family loved MC dearly. There were several face slapping moments but it wasn't excessive. There's also almost no drama so if you love something light then this novel was the right choice for you. <<less

this is a very lukewarm kind of novel. Even among the slice-of-life novels, this is extremely watered down. The marriage and meeting between the two is extremely fast-paced. the ML was known to be an overlord sort of but in fact since his first sight of MC he has always been loving and gentle.

The novel did its best to stand out in the fact that it's not the cliche village-to-town-to-big city setting but that the ML seems to be in the navy and their life is in a small but... more>> lively island - regarding this, my regret is that the author did not explain this setting well.... we are not at all involved in the ML's work life. Even everything is in MC's POV and it all revolves around her.

The story is not particularly exciting or too memorable, but it's a good calm read. The couple is sweet and fluffy when together, and watching various husbands compete was also amusing.

Fair warning, if you're here for some plot, drama, excitement or even a good dose of romance – this isn't it. There is some romance in that the couple is very loving and doting... like it's fluffy-ish but then they have kids too early IMO which I feel the author could have taken some time to allow couple some of their own time. Before it was the nephews and soon after she got preggo : (... like someone mentioned it feels like a long stretch... it's too long for how basic the plot itself is IMO.

Either way it's not amazing but it's just fine to pass the time.

Spoiler

Personally, I was hoping for a really engaging child-rearing novel with an entertaining plot this missed the mark, but it was a nice read anyway... I recommend y'all to read The Sweet Stepmother and Her Cute Cubs

This a good everyday life kind of novel. Fluffy, funny and drama free.

It's about a couple marrying and raising kids. No antagonist or unnecessary drama. The ML and FL communicate a lot and didn't have any misunderstandings

This is the ideal novel to read after reading something depressing.

fluffffyyyy. And hilarious. I just feel like it's a bit too long? Everything is very smooth. The novel just got very long because there were so many characters and as long as they are acquainted with MC or ml, they will find their other half lol.

I’m giving it a 2.9 rating. The MCs are cute and likable as well as their families. What I don’t like is how the people around them are all wicked with vile thoughts; all jealous and petty. It’s this aspect of the story that pushed it down to a below 3.0 rating. If the writer chose one or two passerby characters, that’s fine, but each and every one of them?! That’s a very narcissistic thought — “I’m so fine, everyone must be jealous of me.” 🙄
Also, the story is... more>> supposed to be set in the 70s, but the writer did not show that in the story. The slice of life and the romance/fluff were certainly there, but the harshness of life and the everyday struggle, the poverty — none of these were presented in the story so far. <<less

The first 5 chapters made me want to drop the novel so hold on and it gets better.

But by better, I meant that this is a slice of life and this novel fits it to a T. The mtl is 158 chapters and it's really a long journey of the MCs life. It's a good read but very slow read. If you have a lot of time in your hands, then read this. I had to hit pause several times because the writing was lengthy and there was no drama.... more>> Plain old toast.

I had to roll my eyes when MC was an expert in EVERYTHING but its balanced with the mundanity of their lives.

I hanged on till the end because I liked author's style in detailing the everyday life of the MC and her family. And also the side characters... I love the ML's father and his army buddies so hilarious and the other kiddos in the village 😊 <<less

Not the best novel I've ever read but was very well written for what it is (slice of life transmigration). This is the only transmigration novel I've ever read where the novel acknowledged and justified it's one dimensional characters, and after the MC left behind the original heroines, hero, cannon fodders, etc the characters unrelated to the original plot were actually quite distinct and realistic. They all had their own values, priorities and preferences, they were all capable of character development and they were all capable of. Disagreeing with each... more>> other or feeling jealousy without turning into some kind of villain that is unable to accept that there are people in this world who think differently from then/ are better than them in certain areas. The only thing unrealistic about the side characters was that a large number of them were able to throw away generations of ingrained misogyny and decide that having a daughter is actually something desirable.

On that note, this novel managed to be "feminist" without explicitly saying woman good, man bad or pretending misogyny isn't a thing in their society. A feat hard even for western novels/ movies let alone a Chinese novel. For example, even though they have multiple families trying to get daughters, the novel doesn't pretend that everyone wants daughters or that daughters are superior to sons. Instead, despite select characters wanting daughters, the wider community they live in do not share the same view and continue to look down on or feel the need to comfort couples who only have daughters and no sons. And families who want daughters but have no sons don't end up neglecting their sons or hating them but loving them all the same. At the same time, despite their disappointment they can still have their egos stroked by neighbours who praise them for producing so many sons. Because no matter how open minded and progressive an individual is, what society thinks will always have some effect on them.

Spoiler

Something I loved was that at one point, one of the neighbour couples was described to have a "perfect wife" as both a traditional housekeeper and a modern working woman and all the husbands on the island are comparing their own wives to her and making a bunch of wives insecure. But later on, the husbands get insecure because the wife starts comparing their husbands to the ML (a "perfect" husband) and that one perfect couple husband realises that even though everyone envies him for having the "perfect wife", he is NOT the perfect husband and his "perfect wife" has an extremely tiring life because surprise surprise, housework is nobodies idea of a relaxing afternoon.

[collapse]

lastly, even though this novel does have mary sue tendencies in that the MC is extremely beautiful and talented, I think that it's justified if we take into consideration that
Spoiler

if she wasn't amazingly beautiful and won that one university singing competition, the author of the novel she transmigated into would not have gotten jealous and written her in as a villain, and she wouldn't have transmigated and become the MC of the novel we are reading

[collapse]
Plus all her other talents are actually justified and realistic for a kindergarten teacher (coming from someone who worked with kids). She isn't actually described as someone who is amazingly talented in gardening and homemaking but someone who is meticulous in making everything neat and tidy. Something I know is common in all the people I know who works with kids. AND she doesn't have random talents in everything she sets out to do, she had no talent in sewing because thats not a skill a modern kindergarten teacher would have, and despite having niche knowledge due to particular hobbies in her previous life, she still needed assistance from an actual research facility. And her garden which everyone on the island admired wasn't always pristine. When shes busy, when she has kids, when shes not around to tend to it, its a mess. Any other mary sue novel would have a MC with a pristine garden despite being in confinement and taking care of 2 kids. <<less

The first 20 chapters were boring, I also feel that the start was bad and forced but later it became a good warm family slice of life novel. The couple and the people around them are interesting, the story isn't just about forced plots, love rivals and face-slapping, I really loved the interactions between the characters. Just when I was enjoying the story it ended) ; It was a good novel but feels short

Like literally have to recall who is what and why etc. The best part of the novel was how it was not OP ML and MC right away but a gradual build up of opness. Hahaha.
