This is a short but very sweet story. It's not complicated and focuses mainly on the relationship between the two main leads. The MC is very lovable but also very childish. She is eccentric and has a lot of random thoughts that make the story very lively and interesting. Honestly, the way the story is written is not something I've seen from many CN novels but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The ML is likable as well. He barely speaks due to his abnormalities but his actions of caring for her... more>> is very sweet and enduring. You can say they are a match made in heaven as the ML can sometimes come off as annoying or weird but the ML just loves her this way even if he sometimes feels helpless to her crazy shenanigans. The ML is very slow in speaking out his thoughts but no matter what he says, the MC will always be able to understand him (even though sometimes she pretends she doesn't so it makes him anxious to try to get his point across only to realize she's just messing with him). They are both very well-written characters with their own personalities and even if it felt like them getting together was a bit rushed, in their world it is only normal.

The first half of the story focuses on the MC and ML meeting and their relationship building. The last part of the story is them seeking out a way to transform the ML from a half-beast to a full human form. Beastmen who are unable to turn into full human forms after reaching of age are usually driven out of their tribes because they eventually turn into real wild animals and will no longer remember who they are. This causes them to attack others thus, tribes will usually drive them far away or attempt to kill them.

The story has clear plot points and is skillfully written in a satisfying way. After the climax of the story then the ending is much more mellow and starts to wrap up in a few more chapters which leads to more of a summarization style of writing. The story could have continued longer but it seems the author was satisfied with the length and decided to end it. I personally think this is fine as the main adventure has already ended with a satisfying conclusion. Although I also wouldn't mind if the author continued it for a bit longer. Overall, I really enjoyed this novel and enjoyed all the characters. There are no complicated issues and there is just, here's where the story is going so here we go in that direction. I recommend this to those who want a short and sweet novel with little ups and downs. <<less

A cute lackluster adventure about a fun-loving squirrel and silent but gentle big snake. Its the kind of short story that seems to be written through a child's eyes, its was filled with innocence and even though things happened, there's always that blinding light that makes people smile.
