Love the story. Love the author, I think I've read almost all of her book! The story is one of my favourite I've been rereading it multiple times.

This is the best story on NU! Every single story arc is amazing, unlike in other stories where there are good and bad parts, but what makes it wonderful are the main character and male lead. They kickass! Read this if you want an exciting love story with a satisfying ending.

Okay, so first off, I absolutely adore the MC and the ML and how unreservedly overpowered they both are. I don't really mind that pretty much every villain only has a single braincell and almost all of them act in an incredibly irrational manner. Also, Ivana was my favorite NPC. That said, there were three points that did bother me. In three different worlds there are four autistic characters, two of which are played by the MC, in one world it's explicitly stated, in the other two, it's very much... more>> implied by the behavior. In the first world it's implied that one of the autistic child from the first world suddenly becomes autistic when he's being abused, and that the autism is cured when the abuse stops (after much therapy,) and that is just not how autism works. The author clearly does not know much about autism, because his symptoms are actually CTPSD. The second autistic character introduced is actually fine, though it relies heavily on the "genius cannot actually take care of himself" stereotype, I'm not actually expecting anything too in-depth from this type of novel, especially considering the villains. The last autistic NPC character actually nearly broke my heart. He repeatedly describes himself as a monster who lacks empathy, because he cannot connect with human emotions and doesn't know how to mourn the right way. Like, no, that's just the autism. He's never outright diagnosed with it, though, and thinks of himself as some sort of monster. I wanted to cry for him the most out of all the characters. Anyway, on to my second point, which is mostly the villanous women. Almost every single one of them is the generic "I'm going to use my looks to hide behind strong men to reach the top" stereotype. They're all incredibly incompent and blatant gold diggers. Which leads to my final point. There is an ABO world where the MC basically plays the role of a trans person. He removes his Omega gland and is praised by all for being so brave to become a "genderless freak" and rise above the role that Omegas must play because they are naturally so weak and must be kept safely in the kitchen and raising children. The foil of this round is also an Omega who wants to rise above his Omega station, but is portrayed as weak and cowardly for not cutting out his gland and taking shortcuts to hide behind strong men. It was definitely the most infuriating out of all the single braincell villain worlds to read. The implications being that if a trans person does not medically transition, they are actually weakly cowards and the misogyny was actually the strongest in this chapter where there are no women.

Also for a while I thought that since the villains were so similar that they might've been transmigrated souls as well, but it's never touched on. So I guess the author really was just recycling stereotypes.

Okay, I am here to express my shock.

I don't even know how many times I have read this novel in the past 5 years. Only thing I know is that this novel was like a sleeping pill for me. That must have been seriously hundreds of times. And like when I was reading other stuff, I would still come back to read QWFOD for a few chapters too. I mean this webnovel can be considered as one of my life bloods. One of my fav. I know it has its... more>> own faulty sequences or some other parts that I might have not agree, but most of it is something I like. And than last night I wanted to cuddle one of my fav. Part of this novel. And than I realised website was not working.😭😭😭😭😭

I read this story back in 2020 and re read it again with all the extra arcs too including the alternate story with Xue Zi Xuan. Did I enjoy this novel? - Yes. Do I love it? - No.

The various story settings are interesting, face slapping is great, MC and ML are power couple. But few aspects of this novel makes me uncomfortable. MC is 16years old in age and there's underage s*xual interactions and the lack of lube in so many instances made me roll my eyes. You can... more>> argue that mentally he's not 16 as he's been transmigrating for thousands of years but even if he's traveled to thousands of worlds the only thing it does is apparently give him ready to go skills for every possible thing but also his mental age seems to be stuck at 16. It's a quick transmigration thing I know but I don't see the real effects of actually completing so many lives in MC. You just lived a life to your 90s and then the next arc starts and you think like the same 16 year old. How is that possible?

It will definitely be good to read for beginners who just started reading danmei but I've read hundreds of novels already and this level of writing doesn't impress me that much. There maybe arcs that you'll love tho. My personal favorite is the Apocalypse arc.

Overall, the level of story is mediocre but this was one of my first quick transmigration novels so it was good as an introduction to some different story settings. <<less

This novel is one of the best ! After a passing a few years I am still reading it again and again without getting tired of it.

It is one of the best in world hopping and romance BL.

MC is beautiful, strong in time and confident.

ML is reliable, possessive and strong.

They are the best couple

Slapping the Business Giant

... more>> This is the story that hooked me on to FOD and has remained with me through this re-read. We see the MC, Zhou Yun Sheng's personality come out: his smarts, his resourcefulness and his shrewdness. We see a bit of the personality of the cigar smoking ML as well. All in all, a great start to this awesome story

Slapping the Black-Hearted Lotus

Oh yes, this arc. I forgot how much of a pe*vert NSN was. I was pretty grossed out by the ML constantly spying on MC. Having cameras all over the house is one thing, but he even left them in his bathroom 🤢 🤮

Would be 3.5 for the completely revolting behaviour from ML (ZYS might be OK with it, but we we know that he's a pe*verted individual as well) but, aside from ML, I really enjoyed the story overall. In this world, while full of face slapping, which I love, ZYS never slowly grew into his own self, which took away some points for me as well

Good story, but the original protagonist got it dirty. He actually had no ill feelings towards ZYS, and was content to give up Little Black. It was his little brother that was greedy and could never be satisfied.

Fun story, no real tension. ML was sweet this time around even though his presence wasn't as strong

What a ride. In spite of the... twisted nature of this arc, its still one of my favourites. ML was super present and quite the willful and dominating one

The Next Top Supermodel

4 stars.

This was a fun arc where ML is a love sick simp. Too often BL's forget that good women exist. I love Ivana and Bonnie in this arc.

A bit of a turn off when author started having Ivana refer to XYS as her girlfriend all the time. Overall, one of my faves arcs

Copying an Apocalypse

4.5 stars

The stakes were higher in this arc than any other so far. XYS didn't have soul/Spirit power and he didn't get with ML till at the end of his life. Was impressed that ML didn't self destruct and instead carried on for years trying to make the world a better place. Great arc

Copying a Western Fantasy

3.5 stars

Brainless Sheng was hilarious. Indeed worthy of being ZYS's greatest enemy. Loved the dynamic with ML as well.

Next arc is ABO. Don't recall whether I liked it or no on the 1st read. I'm dreading this. At least he has a sh*t ton of soul power now

Copying an ABO

Initial thoughts: Ah yes. This is one of my fave ABO stories. Thought it was in another novel.

Osborne is the ML? I don't recall. Perhaps that's why this story was moved to the back of my head. I don't like him.

He was clearly in love with Joshua before, admittedly not as deep as with XYS, and we all know that's not possible at all for our ML.

I skipped from 8 (where he forced XYS to live with him for... reasons) to last 2 paragraphs of last chapter (they're space pirates now, I guess. Kool kool)

I'll give this 3.5 stars because of nostalgia. Not in the correct head space to be able to tolerate Osbourne right now. He just rubs me the wrong way. And that's saying a lot, cause I loved the ML from the 4th arc inspite of his dickish ways. I do remember liking this arc the first time I read it. At least the premise is fantastic.

Side note: I think I might have skimmed through this arc on the 1st reading as well. Cause for every other arc I remember the gist after a few paragraphs or even sentences, except for this one. So I guess I really liked the premise rather than the execution

That was quite fun. Always love me more good face slapping. Loved this iterations of the ML. The instant attraction for reasons unknown, fire chemistry, and as always, loads of indulgence.

ML should have remained paralyzed. Would have made a great statement about the perception and self perception of the disabled. Author definitely shouldn't have stressed on making ML 'whole' after the surgery to repair his legs.

How was Xue Jing Yi even allowed to take up piano music with her heart condition. That sh*t is stressful as hell.

Cuckold Emperor

How could XYS, even for a minute, consider the teenager to be his lover? Lol. ML is always in a great position of power in every world. Did he forget that? Or I guess he was just hoping.

Real World

We finally get our happy ending (and a ton of 2nd hand embarrassment. Making out in front of EVERYONE ALL THE TIME😳 🤦🏾‍♀️). Im satisfied with how they dealt with Orr and that it while it was technically body snatching, the soul had already vacated the original.

Random Thoughts

The overall story is not a complex thought provoking piece. What it is, is a fun and entertaining, 1v1 romance, with exceedingly doting lovers who just mostly want to live in their 2 person world and f*ck all the time.

Forgot how absolutely possessive ML is. I mean dang. He gets more intense with every arc.

As C-novels are wont to do, the over exaggeration of popularity is as always, something else. Think of the most famous piano player in the world, or soldier, or musician or even model (can you even?) How popular are they really? Around their circles, sure, but not globally.

Author should have made XYS at least 21. Hard to take a 16 year old seriously (or sexually to be frank). As XYS even mentions in Cuckold Emperor, 16 was still a child in modern times.

Xue Zi Xuan

I was loathe to read this story in the same way that I didn't want to finish the ABO arc. In a way I feel like the ML doesn't deserve XYS. They already had their shot, and they lost. So to see them with XYS is a bit unsettling.

I disagree with the author.
They claim the XZX loves XYS's soul and what not, but I think that XZX loves XYS from the past life. If he loves his soul, then he wld have loved him before he heard him playing the piano. Just like how some of the original protagonists from other arcs fell in love with XYS after he crossed over.

I will accept these lovers by not associating them with OG XYS.

XZX should give a thought to how ZYS feels. He just grabs him and holds on to him like an octopus. How about a little breathing room, esp considering how he treated XYS just a little while ago?

Someone doesn't just suddenly turn into a smoker, and is good at it on 1st try. And the milk thing. Guess author wants us to draw parallel between XZX and our original ML?

The Monk and Master of the Demonic Sect

Zi Zuan is not my favourite person at c16. He forced ZYS whose life is being hunted down, to basically give up his life? How does that make any kind of sense for our ML to do? And he said that he wouldn't meet him for 10 years, the person he literally cannot stay an hour away from. Wow. And this iteration deemed to have some ingrained memories as well. So all those actions are not in line with his character at all.

Author was extremely cruel to the female protagonist this time around., while the male protagonist suffers off screen in some vague way while being chased. Granted that the scene is highly disturbing, we only get the one scene with the male protagonist being tortured.

The Fox Demon and the Regent

Compared to the initial meeting of the previous arc, this one is just too meng. Maybe that's that's ML's way of making up for his shortcomings in The Monk and Master of the Demonic Sect? But the frequent sucking of the fox's tongue...🤢 Have to just bear with it, cause I love everything else about this arc

Also XYS and ML: prevents beastmen from hunting in the forest so they'd have to resort to extreme measures to keep themselves fed. And steals all of the red crystals the beast men use for bartering, thereby disrupting the foundation of their economy

I don't understand Kun. For about a month he was eating whatever Xiao An Chun gave him cause he was being treated. He even thinks that he's been eating better now than he was at the tribe. All of a sudden, he decides that XAC's cooking is not good enough?

Also, for all these decades, has no one noticed that the divine blood aggravates injuries? You don't even have to be any kind of believer in the scientific method to figure that out

My first world hopping genre novel. And I’m so thankful and sad at the same time. It was well written and really good read, I enjoy each world. I’m so thankful that this is my first world hopping genre novel if not maybe I won’t be able to discover a new world from novel genres at the same time sad because every time I read world hopping genres what I’m looking for is the same vibe as this novel gives me which really not a big help because I won’t... more>> be able to continue reading some novels even if the reviews are high.

Disclaimer: Been some time since I last read this novel. And also a pretty long review...

Anyways, the novel fits a certain group of people really well (the face-slapping sort), and for the rest, certain arcs can get you by. It's like a mix of every genre and trope possibly possible in one huge world-hopping story.

Each arc is akin to a separate story, with not many bits to connect the overarching plotline (although there's barely one). Basically the only mentions of these connections between worlds are from the MC's thoughts, the... more>> romance between the two mains, and I guess the someone-trapped-me-in-a-quick-wear-until-I-hacked-my-way-out...? That someone is the rarely-spoken-about villain at the very end, but it's never mentioned why this villain decides that trapping our MC in the system is the optimal choice

So yeah, the real-world plotline is in fragile fragments.

The majority of the story is focused on the worlds inside the system. In the first world, the MC possesses a cannon fodder, fights off the bad guys, gets romance, and lives happily ever after. In the second world, the MC possesses a cannon fodder, fights off the bad guys, gets romance, and lives happily ever after. In the third world--You get the picture. It's essentially a repetitive cycle with a few different elements (tropes) to spice things up. A lot of face-slapping happens, and the MC never gets tired of it (it's honestly like the MC forgets the past arcs happened sometimes, like, he never gets bored).

The romance is also weak. I've never been able to confirm that the MC loves the ML. It's more like an obsession with power over somebody (since the ML adores the mc). The ML also falls in love every arc like an idiot. He kind of mirrors the morals of the MC. If something's not okay with the MC, it can't possibly be okay with the ML, and vice versa. The only problem is that the MC's morals are wishy-washy just by themselves, and he's the one who remembers all the past worlds.

In terms of character development? None.

Of course some arcs were really good. I personally liked arcs 9, 14, 15, and one other arc that I'm blanking on. Even though I say that, 15 was the only one that got nearly 5/5 stars, so... this is me trying to be nice. The one incongruity that continued through all the arcs was the MC's OP factor. "You can't possibly be that good at everything, dude, sit down, " were my thoughts, especially about hacking (tho that concern was made better by the fact that he's from an interstellar world where the tech is better).

And it's true that's he's not all-powerful. For example, he couldn't produce an entire album in a week (time may be wrong), so he instead chose to plagiarize songs from worlds he had been in before. These "alternate worlds" are actually just real life. Credit was given in the novel to the artists (at least by the translator), but that doesn't change the fact that he resorted to plagiarism in a time of need. I'd rather read about a protagonist who tried his very best to overcome this difficulty and ultimately failed any day. Plagiarism isn't okay, even if no one's going to find out about it.

Lastly, there's the praise. The novel kept me. I read through the entire thing. The writing's beautiful, and anyone can see the effort the translator put into every word (bravo for them). The increasing redundancy of each arc left me impatient, but I can't deny that the author was able to craft over ten different fast-paced, intriguing stories for me to (mostly) enjoy, even if some rubbed me the wrong way. (although I kinda hate that I let myself stay for the entire fiasco)

Long story short, it's a weak story that can introduce you to the world of translated BL novels, both the good and bad. 3/5, might strike your fancy. <<less

This is my first time leaving a comment and even bothering to register. I just can't help really...

Before reading this story, as usual I always read the reviews of it and interestingly, people are debating whether the overpraise of people in the reviews are true or false. And I read every comments seriously and readied myself according to the people's warning and plot holes. There was even a comment saying logical readers should not read this and since I've been reading serious novel recently I wanted to read a novel... more>> as a pass time. So I thought I could tolerate this novel.

At first, I was okay with everything, Of course I saw some plot holes but I didn't care and just went into flow but what I couldn't take is... It feels like starting Apocalypse arc (v.9) MC started to lose his high level observational skills and it even worsen when it comes to the next arc. LIKE HOW COULD HE NOT RECOGNIZE HIS LOVER WITH SO MANY F*CKING OBVIOUS SIGNS?!?!

That's how I became heartbroken for the ml. Usually I was always in bottoms side whatever happened but this one.... gosh... such a pity. It's kinda good I only have problem with MC's recognition skills and IQ that seems to denigrating. <<less

I held back on reading this for the longest time, especially since QT novels usually bore me after a while... But it ended up being a pretty good read! I can see why so many people like it, and will definitely reread it myself one day.

CHARACTERS: 7.5/10

I feel like the novel’s greatest weakness are it’s characters. Don’t get me wrong! I like the main CP well enough and there were a scattered number of side characters that I ended up having a good impression of. But, when it came... more>> to writing well-established characters, the author suffered a lot — and especially so in the beginning. They would change character settings at the drop of the hat (whenever it’s most convenient for the plot), which is very off putting. (As an example, the MC’s instincts and intelligence would waver between worlds 😂. When it’s convenient, the author would max his stats, when it’s inconvenient, they’d decrease it by a ton... DX Anyway—-

Zhou Yunsheng (MC) :

A hacker that was pulled in by the “Lord God” and given a Villain System to experience thousands of worlds with. At the start of the story, he had already broken free from both the Lord God and his SYSTEM. He’s still stuck in the virtual world though, and the only way out is to continue experiencing virtual worlds and sucking out energy from them — which he is happy enough to do.

Zhao Xuan (ML) :

A mysterious character that appears in every world that the MC is dragged into. His role is different in each world and he has no memory of the previous world. However, he’s undoubtedly the same person in each one.

ROMANCE: 8/10

The romance in this is also pretty weak to start off with. It improves as the author went along (just like the author’s characterization!) but the start of the romance is undoubtedly fast because of the pacing. It’s a loveable couple in the end~ But they take a while to truly get going!! As for their dynamics... while there are similarities between worlds, the ML’s lack of memory and the MC playing his roles changes things up a bit each time! The ML is always the Gong though! This is not a versatile couple at all 😂

SETTING: 10/10

The worldbuilding is undoubtedly the novel’s greatest strength. Although the quick pacing doesn’t allow the readers to enjoy the different world to the fullest, the sample of them is more than enough to establish them. The author also pays very close attention to setting up character relationships and backgrounds, which I found fun~

PLOT: 8/10

I would call this a face slapping novel to start with LOLOL. The main plot doesn’t matter much until the end! The MC has to go through over a dozen worlds after all. So the plot developments mostly relied on the face slapping the MC does (in order to strengthen himself and the role he’s playing). In the middle of these arcs, there’s also the romance subplot with the MC and ML finding each other each time~

But yes, the main plot is mostly a late stage thing. Wherein the MC finally starts to break down the ML’s identity and complete his goal to defeat the Lord God.

RATING: 4.15/5

Honestly, despite me rating it like this, I would still give it a full five just for pure enjoyment (which is exactly what I did 😂). If you like face slapping novel with an OP MC and ML pair that rule over everyone else, then you’ll like this novel. Conversely, if those are things that put you off, then I suggest trying it out first to see if you like the world-building, which, as mentioned, is what I personally enjoyed most~

RANDOM THOUGHTS:

  • Personal Enjoyment: Personal enjoyment breaks the scale 7/5! LOLOL Although there are some low points, I never once seriously considered dropping the novel, which is a great feat for me (especially considering the fact that it’s a quick transmigration novel, which tend to bore me after all).
  • Literary Level: Because of the genre (QT), the pacing I’m this novel is suuuuper fast. It gets better near the end, the author focuses on characters and important settings more carefully, but it’s pretty clumsy in the beginning.
  • Heat Level: This novel is pretty spicy. There’s some NSFW parts scattered around, not so much that I would consider it smutty (since all the scenes are skippable), but the explicitness warrants at least a 3.75/5! The re-translation has them included!

uhm.. I don't know exactly to feel abt this one. I know like this was one of the earliest qt novels or sumth but I don't really see the hype lol.

first off, this was actually one of the first few quick transmigration novel that I read, second after that harem destroying one, but I ended up dropping it around first few chapters of arc 2. reason? there's no particular reason other than the fact that the MC is kinda boring and theres literally no depth in it. I felt like... more>> I was reading some kind of narration lol. maybe its just me.

i dropped it and tried reading it again a few months later cuz I dont have any qt novels to read so I gave it a chance. ended up dropping it again around arc 3 for the same reason.

and then I switched to infinite flow and after reading every single one I could find, went back and gave it another chance. at that time I thought maybe I was too picky and maybe the other arcs would be interesting. well, I finished reading it and yeah some were interesting but most of the arcs r just... so so.

Or maybe it's just me. Don't mind my ranting though like me not really that being so into this novel doesn't mean it's not good. Don't be afraid to give it a try lol. <<less

Short:

Well I really liked the character of the MC & how he deales with his problems and his realationship with the ML.

The whole plot and arcs were okay but nothing really special. Also there are no comedy.

I know the MC is way to OP but I think it is still in the reasonable range. Because at the beginning he would only be an OP smarty cookie hacker but b/c he lived in so many shitty virtual worlds as a villain he learned a lot of skills. That's why I didn't think he was such an annoying Mary Sue. And the reason why the ML is also always so OP is also very reasonable.

What I like the most is that he is taking care of his problems on his own and won't shove everything to the ML. Yes, sometimes the ML helps him but mostly in the background. The MC wants to take care of his problems on his own! With some novels the MC is just hugging a thigh ASAP. That's why I think their relationship is more balanced where the ML is like "joh I would help you anytime but I also know you don't need it". Of course the MC also stays in the character setting (well the talents & wishes of the characters are taken into account and then he just MAXes everything to go OP)

What I also like is how he deals with his problems/enemys. He mostly laid traps and when the enemys have bad intention they walk on their own to their demise. MC is not overly cruel or deals with people based on the plot or the past life. <<less

I read this multiple times now. All I can say was, I'm such a fool.

Don't get me wrong. I love the story. This was actually the first qt novel I read.

The MC had different persona every world and I like the way he met and had a relationship with the same person every transmigration.

... more>> Its just... The more I reread the novel, the more I'm less entertain. It's not the same for other novel I read before that even though I read it multiple times, I can't get enough.

Anyway! The story is good. I'm just commenting to release my broken heart.

this story is one of my favorite novels and probably the 1st on my qt novels, I cant tell how many times ive reread this novel, I love every arc and I just geniunely adore the relationship between MC and ml, , , , highly recommended UVU

Amazing read. At first I was skeptical because I usually don't like the story about quick transmigration and that system thingy. It hurts my brain and felt unrealistic. But I gave it a try and oh boy, I love the story haha. It was fun read. The MC and ML are that typical OP Gong and Shou where they only care about each others, but I love their relationship. Especially, when they're in different world with whatever trial they were going through. And yes you can finally found their personality... more>> in a lot of chinese danmei novels. Strangely corny, but I like it. ML is such simp and MC is da boss. Their chemistry👌 <<less

Someone said MC is a Mary Sue character. That is not entirely true. He's kind of become one in the later arcs and extras. But, in earlier arcs, he have to fight for himself and even if ML helped him that's because MC tricked him or it benefited for him too. There are even a couple arcs where MC helps ML. My fav is arc 7. MC is a complete villian in that one.

Another person said there is no suspense bc MC is too OP. That's true. I gotta admit... more>> this is not the best novel for thriller. It's more like a feel-good novel. It's enjoyable to ride the journey along with MC. There is some suspense in the main story tho.

This story is something I read 3 or 4 years ago and I still come back for my fav arcs when I feel bored. I am not sure this is some type of masterpiece that should be put in a glass frame on the wall but definitely not a highschool essay. <<less

One of the best story out there. The protagonist himself was really strong and astounding. He was independent and know what he wants. I really don't have much comment in this except it was beautiful. Love it.

I guess the only thing that frustrates me is the protagonist despite having memories and claiming his love for ML, he still always mistook him and ended up indirectly hurting the ML. Although we can say that in some Archs, the ML sucks, he still recognizes subsconciosly the MC's soul when he trasnmigrates (like the 11th Arch). I mean I can't really blame him if he was attracted to others because of the world's plot before the arrival of MC (since when ML arrives, he integrates with the world) but it just frustrates me that MC often mistakes him for another then ended up making reckless decision just to 'find' the lover that's actually always by his side. Fortunately, the later Archs he realized it and started his own pursuit. It's so cute and funny because he's so bold.

ARCH 14

This Arch isn't my favorite (it's Arch 12 for me), but it was the Arch that took me to many twist and turns. Although the MC was taking revenge for hus past experience, I can't get over the fact that his adopted brother (Xue Xi Zuan) wasn't forgiven. I mean he literally sacrificed his fingers to save him and that was like sacrificing his soul and living like a corpse in the future. I mean they deserve those punishment for even considering doing immoral things but I dunno, I just felt sorry for him lol
