I really liked this novel, although I can't say that this novel is good. Imo, this story is like a feel-good novel, it's not really thought-provoking whatsoever, and it's written just for face-slapping moments. However, I really like this kind of stories. I get why others felt disappointed since the hype for this novel is huge.

I actually read this novel like 2-3 years ago, but I like to come back and take a look at it from time to time. (Also I never realized that I didn't post a review, despite leaving a rating;;;)

I noticed that some people seem to have a misconception as to why this novel is popular.

No, it is not the deepest, most unpredictable novel with deep characters, complicated world settings and mind-blowing plot. It is not a literary masterpiece.

But it is a good novel to get into Quick Transmigration novels. It is simple, it is an interesting read (even if the characters don't have ten thousand layers), and it has a variety of different settings in different worlds.

The chemistry between the main characters is very good, and (in my opinion) this allows the novel to be attractive overall.

For a reader who is just getting into QT this is truly a great novel to get started. For others, that have explored other novels (not necessarily QT), ones with great character building, very unique, unconventional and so on, this will probably be a boring read, because this plot may seem too simple, and too filled with holes.

But from my perspective, this is just supposed to be a novel to enjoy. Not to think deeply about the attention to the details and such. Just get the enjoyment of the overall plot and the chemistry between the two main characters and how they get from strangers to being a pair of inseparable husbands.

You can take this as an early romance novel, though it really isn't. It took a lifetime for MC to actually fall for ML in the first world. It only feels quick because it's QT. The author can't write it out for you in 60 chapters, because there are still more arcs to write. 'The author could've made them fall in love throughout the arcs'? Well, but isn't it pretty normal to fall for someone during one lifetime though? Like normal human beings do with our short life-spans? As for the seemingly sudden attraction of the ML to MC it is also mentioned near the end of the story, when his identity is revealed.

Once again, this novel is not realistic, from the way hacking, music and so on are described, it is clear that only the overall image is kept and the action is made out to look fancy and vibrant.

But this is the type of novel this is. It is meant to look good, but it is not for one to ponder on details. So if you're not into that, then you're not into that. Don't blame the author, or the reviewers for the difference in taste/experience (in reading bl novels?).

Everyone enjoys something else, and this novel became a great memory and first experience for many QT lovers. Personally I only started reading it because I found the cover interesting (compared to others at the time when I found this novel), then I saw the word 'hacker' and thought I'd give it a try.

I don't regret it. It was a wonderful 5/5 experience for me. Although I might not go back to re-read the entire story, (because I don't really like some of the misunderstandings, but still think back on all the arcs positively) I still do go back to reading my 2-3 favorite arcs when I'm bored.

So think about what you're looking for before reading this novel. But if you are a new reader, who randomly cl**ked on the novel and has no experience with QT, I think you should give it a try because it will be a unique experience. ^^

This may not necessarily be one of the best novels out there but I just think that it's because each world is actually just string of data, it is reasonable that villains are not that much.

• The world were originally created by the rebelling AI to abuse the people pulled in by the system so it is really reasonable that villains in each world are brainless and didnt have depth because they are originally designed to abuse people like MC until they are mentally and emotionally tortured and are harvested by the rebelling AI.
• It's not that MC is hypocrite. He's a human so of course he would occasionally depict some contradictions. He had to survive thousands of world that can only abuse him while he can't actually fight back even if he wanted and had the ability.

All in all, this novel really deserved high ratings. Well, some arcs may not necessarily be interesting but looking at the novel as a whole and not just basing on each arcs, this is really nice. Regarding the physical age gap between ML and MC, I couldnt really think much on it because I was considering on their maturity. They are matured enough to be compatible. One of the best BL I've read

• I'm glad that the MC isn't a pushover! He's smart, can be ruthless but appreciated people who genuinely care him. His personality really shines. Although the ML is the doting type that has yandere and obsession towards the MC, the MC knows hows to handle him well. Their interaction is so cute and funny.
• Different universes contain different plots. I didn't get thought out the novel I didn't get bored at all. It also has a good plot that explains the cause of the transmigration including the last boss that they need to defeat.

This novel isn't my introduction to the whole Quick Transmigration genre and I've been subconsciously putting it off thanks to the reviews, and how popular it is.

After reading several QT novels, QWFOD is definitely not the best I've read but it's still really enjoyable.
The beginning was kinda mediocre and short as you can see the author is just testing the waters, but as the arcs progressed, the author starts putting in more effort in setting up the storylines and world building.

It becomes more fun to read, yet not overly taxing to try to understand what's going on all the time because it doesn't attempt to over complicate things.

To my surprise, I finished reading this in less than 3 days. It's really quick and easy to read arc by arc.
Most arcs that comes later are pretty solid as a standalone short story and it doesn't have the usual flavor of heart abuse that most QT stories comes with

I love a good old heart torturing session as much as the next person, and sometimes I wish there was more "abuse" especially to the MC, however, ZYS is so entertaining as a character, and it doesn't really feel too OOC when he overcomes his problems

Instead, his confidence but not overly arrogant behavior is interesting. The constant paragraphs explaining his godlike hacking powers can be grating though, please take note lolol

But the thing that truly make ZYS interesting for me, is the side characters.
For the most part, ZYS feels detached and precise like a machine, but him seeking for the ML in each world after he realises they're the same person adds some variation to his monotonous personality.

Later on, when things get tougher for ZYS, he starts showing frustration and uncertainty which makes him more interesting

ML:

My favourite arcs in this story is the Zombie one, and the Twins one. Especially the twins one. It comes with an extra story just focusing on a route where MC ends up with Xue Zi Xuan (not the main story ML but the original protagonist)

Antagonists in this novel are pretty forgettable, but in the Modelling arc, I really love the MC's best friend. She's definitely the best character in that arc, or probably the story lol (Friendly sue)

ok this is f*cking amazing. None of the universes are boring at all. All of them were really f*cking interesting in their own ways. Once I finished reading this, I knew how it felt like to have a serious addiction.

mc's really smart and just f*cking epic. Face slapping is amazing. It makes sense for MC to be amazing since he's already been through so many world's, it wouldnt have made sense if MC wasn't op. The dude's been through so much.

And I mean that as a compliment. Honestly don't think I'll ever like a QT novel as much as this one. I originally didn't want to read QT novels but a friend kept urging me to read this and I can only say that I truly did not regret it.

Almost 2 days of binge reading it was worth it. Really really worth it. The world building was good, the characters were written well and though there were some that fell flat, there were also some... more>> that rose in the different arcs. I loved how shameless and vindictive the MC is because really, he deserved to act that way. I also loved the build up to the ML's character being revealed as well as their relationship blooming from each world.

You get angst, fluff, thriller, mystery, action, and romance. Some arcs, especially the earlier ones will force feed you with dog food and I like how MC never lost sight of what he wanted abd was resolute and unwavering. Loved how he also started to pursue the ML after a major event happened.

Overall: did not regret reading it. Would probably read it again. Hahaha <<less

The MC is so OP it's not even enjoyable- I'm normally fine with OP MCs but legit- this man is so OP all my suspension of disbelief died to make way for just 'hhhhh o k ay m c'. One example of this is when he just sings in a concert for the music arc and glass just breaks. Yeah, it just breaks. I know it's possible but- why though??? And won't it be something that hurt people's ears??? And his vocal range is so great he can just go from Mary has a little sheep to heavy rock metal and I just- ???- it just kills me. By that I mean I died laughing, so I guess this novel is so bad it's good but nowhere near the masterpiece that it's seen as sometimes. Another is how MC is so ridiculously pretty in every single au and that his 'thin waist' and 'soft skin' and 'long legs' must be emphasized and it's just ridiculous how he's different people but feel like he looks the same everytime- other than the hair and eye color, I guess.

The romance really is shallow, too. Ig the main couple fell in love in the first world and that was that but-??? Where's the romancing each other instead of falling in love at first sight? Like I'd get it if the ML has memories, but he doesn't and he's a different person- even if he has vibes with MC from their past lives why does he fall in love so easily? And if you were to place ML in a patheon of other generic MLs you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. He's your standard h**ny and loyal ML. The only thing that sorta sets him apart is that he smells like cigarettes ig lol.

I think my main problem with the romance is that it feels like the same boring, shallow romance everytime. I sort of expected there to be different dynamics with the different worlds, but that just wasn't the case. The MC and ML feel like the same person every time and just get together or fall in love extremely fast, destroying any potential for an interesting or just different kind of dynamics for the romance. So that was kinda disappointing when I just see the same thing over and over again despite them being in different settings.

tldr: shallow love story that has an MC so OP and generic despite having 10+ unique identities in 10+ different worlds with his equally OP and generic ML.

The best multiple worlds novel I've read.I personally don't really like multiple worlds cos the story can drag on and get boring at times. The only one I really enjoyed was Who Touch My Tail altho the ending was a bit rushed.

4.75 / 5 is what I would rate this novel. It has an amazing plot and characters! Each world is quite interesting, all the schemes are awesome, and the characters are all very cool. My favorite of the worlds has got to be the Zombie Apocalypse world.

Although each world was very interesting, sometimes it would just drag on and I really wanted the arc to finish already. Other times the arc would be to short and I wished it was longer and more in depth. I really loved each of... more>> the worlds but there wasn't always a good balance of world building, scheming, romance, and character building in each of the worlds.

Anyways I thought some of the characters were great! But it was mostly our main character Zhou Yun Sheng who always was an amazing character. I gotta say, there was a few characters that made me hate that this is an episodic novel series. I miss Ivana (Ivan) !!! The ML was occasionally really great (and funny) and ocasionally... a little bit too much.

The romance was also great! I didn't always appreciate the huge age gaps though, nor the occasional minor x adult relationships between the ML and MC.

So I've read this twice. The first time I read it was a few months after I got into the web novel stoty scene and in comparison to the gazillion beautiful transmigator mary sues or weak willed tragic yet beautiful FL with no agency this was a breath of fresh sir.

The MC is intelligent, self possesed, has purpose and defys manipulation and avoids all the common tr*shy stereotypical mls. At its core Fod is a gateway to more self possesed charachters and more advanced story lines as it is hypercritcal... more>> of the generic cliches we generally see.

Then this past month I read it again and idk if its because what I read before it the first time was such utter garbage it made this look great or what but man is this not good. The ML first of all is super creepy theres underage and dubious consent and he just has no personality except being obsessed with MC because he's good looking??? Like I don't know how I missed it the first time but 30% of this novel is a description of MCs supple waist and peach blossom eyes... yes we get it hes attractive. Also his intelligence in hindsight is very 2d he knows the plot before he goes in plus he coopts modern knowledge to appear talented (common transmigator theme) overall its really repetitive and kinda dull theres almost too much face slapping and it doesnt feel deserved since the MC gets everyrhing handed to him so it all kind of falls flat. The Nsfw in the first arc was spicyyyy so theres that. overall worth a look if you dont lile the first 2 arcs you wont like the rest so just tap out definetly not as good as everyone say it is <<less

As the first BL transmigration novel I've finished a year ago, it was my favorite (together with MDZS and The Earth is Online) and whenever I feel like it, I reread this story without getting tired of MC and ML's OP-ness.

Yes, both of them may lack human emotion towards other people but what makes them very appealing to me is that all their emotions are focused only at each other.
