I know and understand why he gets involved, but it just doesn't seem as in character for him as it would for the ML. (Although it doesn't feel very in-character for either, honestly.)
I can't tell how many people know Shen Yuxi (ML) is the Doctor (his famous persona known for making puppets).
It feels like a gimmick for the online romance, growing Qi Chao's (MC) popularity by showing up on his livestream, and a way to make Qi Chao the only one being involved in politics.
I mean, the public know Lan Lou but not Moss or Agu? Sure, but that seems a little odd. Both Lan Lou and Moss were auctioned out, but not Agu? (Dubious) I bring this in from the scene Qi Chao records of Xing Yu and Agu fighting because of Moss's doll. Even if the public no longers recognizes Moss because he's wrapped in bandages, Xing Yu is almost his exact copy.
Additionally, people apparently know the Doctor's voice, but the reason why is never brought up, nor is he ever recognized by anyone they meet
ever as the Doctor, so Qi Chao's worries that the Association will recognize Shen Yuxi seem misplaced.
Another thing that seems frequently inconsistent are puppet abilities and their importance. Xu Mei has an S-class puppet without abilities, and therefore he was not tossed in the kiln. Qi Chao made 5 S-class puppets, sure. But only 1 of them ever have publicly confirmed abilities (Li Bai) and I have yet to learn the abilities of Shaung Jian, Xuan Jian, Qiu Qiu, or Xing Yu; which leaves me wondering how important they actually are.
Especially since the Shen Yuxi has also made 5 S-class puppets without confirmed abilities (allegedly they have none, how do they know this for sure?), but no one ever bothers the Doctor about it.
Furthermore, there's been something annoying me for a long time: can Qi Chao (and the author) stop brainwashing others by insisting puppets are children? All puppets consider their creators mother or father, which is weird, because if puppets and their creators are able to share some memories (something the author introduced for both Li Bai, and Shuang Jian and Xuan Jian), then why do the puppets not know their creators don't care about being called that?
This puts puppets in a somewhat awkward position. We're able to see that puppets are able to care for themselves in the case of (I believe the name was) Cheng Xi. They bought themself a phone and were able to desguise themself as a human. Clearly, puppets can be self-sufficient. (Yes, this also doesn't mean they aren't a child, but I'm getting there.)
Puppets as children almost seem to be the only familial relationship explored between them and humans. But! Puppets can last a while
especially higher class puppets, so why confine them to the box of children? It just seems weird.
Also, Qi Chao is extremely naive when it comes to his close relationships. He treats many things they do lightly, it feels like, regardless of what it is. I am not very fond of him, I guess....
I was also so moved by the doll revolution that took part at the end. Seeing the dolls get the rights they deserve was so heartwarming!

This novel is perfect. Well, except for the System kidnapping because honestly that feels weird.
Anyway, this is a love story that expended across 2 different dimension.
So, our MC is a reincarnation of Mother Tree and in the novel novel, the big bad ass villain is trying to keep the MT alive by using humans live.
So yeah, eventually the MT can not hold on and BOOOM the novel world gone but the MT in last breath managed to get reincarnated in different world until he is transmigrated back.
Honestly there is so many characters here but they all are memorable, good job author.

MC and ML have 5 each (to be a master-level puppet maker 5 are needed to get certified) + 1 collaboration puppet for major plot reasons towards the end. That's a total of 11 children running around in this family!
The last few chapters + extras really got me. When Moss nearly goes back to the mother tree, I suddenly deeply thought about my own life and the lives of my loved ones. The puppet revolution and rights activism was such a lovely and natural progression of MC's wishes. Such a peaceful ending is so rewarding to read!
