I love this novel and it characters. For those who are reading this review you should know that this novel is extreme emotional one and starts showing the despair of the characters involved and cruelty of humans right of the bat. If you can't handle such novel then, maybe, this isn't your cup of tea, but you'll never know for sure unless you try.
