This novel follows the turbulent growth of her in adjusting in her new life and how she fight back including her prince husband, Chu Xuanchen, to take back her rightful place.
Chu Xuanchen (23), a prince from the Great Chu dynasty, he is handsome and intelligent, arrogant and domineering, and his biggest weakness that he’s a man of word, just like a typical military man.
He was forced by the Emperor to marry Yun Rouyue as his princess consort, the daughter of the enemy who killed his parents. In the end, he did marry her even though he didn’t love her. After the marriage, he treated her badly and even marries another woman of his love in order to degrade and humiliate Yun Rouyue.
At first, he thought that he would be happy after married the woman of his love, Nangong Rou, but he was wrong. Later on, and slowly, he realised the person in his heart was actually Yun Rouyue and has no love feeling to Nangong Rou other than just gratitude because she saved his life two years ago.
Apparently, he was too late as Yun Rouyue didn’t love him and wanted a divorce, and the story goes on with how he will woo her back and they stay happily ever after.

The explanation for the Intro.
The original Yun Ruoye was the daughter of the minister who fell in love with Prince Li after being treated as a decent human instead of being mocked and ignored due to scarring on her face. The minister, seeing his daughter noticeably pining for the prince since young, suggested a marriage proposal to the Emperor resulting in a cold marriage with Yun Ruoye. She endured it, hoping it would change in the long run but one last strike that the original did was drug (?) the prince who on his way to finally marrying the girl he loves so while influenced by the substance, he hurt her not only physically but mentally. It was not yet known if the original did it or was just assumed to be the suspect as nobody in the mansion in on her side except one maid. It struck her that night that the marriage will go nowhere and her delusions that everything will get better were broken by the disgust she saw in his eyes. She was already insecure about her appearance and his cold remark struck deeply in her heart that she had not had the heart to go on. She jumped into the pond.
Transmigrator Yun Ruoyue was horrified seeing the face of the original, implying it was really horrendous and painful. However, she has her modern medical knowledge and by some lucky coincidence, a herb/leaf that is very useful for healing skins. Naturally, can be expected for the appearance to somewhat heal quickly.
Nothing of importance can be said for Prince Li yet aside from me being very disapproving about his behavior but I'll give him a chance since he was clearly distressed (drugged).
