Up to the third arc, the main character uses her beauty and wits to easily gain the hearts of targets, literally making them willing to die for her. Step by step, she gains justice for the original character, earning her full-marks for her mission.

1st arc: modern-day, entertainment star that became famous fast while tormenting her opponents mentally.

2nd arc: ancient times, a noble young lady that hooks her non-biological powerful brother to do her bidding.

3rd arc: republic of china, takes over the powerful Zhang family with decisive means.

The young emperor. Turned out he's a reincarnator (not affiliated with her system) who had lived 4 lives prior to her mission. And he found out that MC was not the same OG character from his previous lives so he considered her ally. Of course, he fell in love with MC and tried, in his own ways, to make her choose him instead of her target. When she refused, he made her promise (while crying heartbreakingly) to choose him in his next life (not knowing that it won't be her next time) and proceeded to grant her marriage with the target. After she died of old age in that world, he immediately committed su*cidea (not before reminding her at her deathbed about the promise). Sadly, he never met her (she was replaced by other mission participants) and everytime he will kill Ah wan and su*cide after. Over and over again while crying out asking where is his Ah wan.

I guess what makes it particularly sad for me because he's not the typical cold and mighty emperor (he's more of a puppet emperor) and I can feel he's genuinely lonely having to reincarnate into his 14 years old self. So when he was hoping so badly to have a companion, for the hope to be ruthlessly dashed, ngl it made me kinda mad at MC. Though, it's not really her fault since she didn't expect him to recognize her.
