She is a top-class spy, a poison specialist, but also a young and cute girl with a sinister temperament. In spite of her sweet and innocent appearance, she can complete any tasks without the slightest hesitation. One day because of an incomplete black magic, she was sent into the body of a girl who was deemed as a good-for-nothing. What kind of change will she bring to this continent?

A Prince said with bitter hatred, “I thought she was weak and easily bullied, therefore I broke off the engagement. I really didn’t expect she is such a shrewd girl. I made an error of judgment.”

The Crown Prince deeply sighed, “She is such a sexy evildoer! Obviously, she has a frail and tender body, but I am not able to overwhelm her…”

Finally, an Emperor hit the nail on the head, “She is just a bit two-faced!”

She answered, “You’re just a big pervert!”

The Emperor carried her into the room and said, “You are predestined to be mine! A two-faced girl and a pervert are a perfect match, right?!”

This book was one of my top favorites for a while until the releases became slower, but anyway, it's still pretty good. Many MCs boast of being second to none in this and that, but I feel that Ning Xuemo, the MC of this novel, did it in a way that was less arrogant and not just for the convenience of certain plot developments. For now, she's not some kind of OP MC with every kind of power. But that's alright because she has tons of her modern life knowledge... more>> to help her, and she is starting to slowly get more powerful in her cultivation. She's one of the few cultivation novel MCs that I wholly love without picking too many faults.

The plot of the story started off with a bang with all this excitement going on, and then it slowed down a little when the author was unnecessarily stretching the word count, but it picked up again. Ning Xuemo was a little unpredictable at times, and I like that because she usually surprised us in a good way. Back when I was too impatient to wait for updates, I actually went ahead a few hundred chapters by google translating the raws. The quality of the machine translator wasn't the best (obviously, when is google translate ever good?) but I understood enough and the plot was a wild roller coaster of emotion. But I find that to be a good thing because if I really want to read a light, easy novel, I can simply find plenty of those is a sea of hundreds. I've already have quite a few of those that I'm reading. This is one of the ones I keep reading to give me feels. And it's working.

For a while, I wasn't really sure who exactly the Male Lead was. I had my suspicions about one guy, but then another guy popped up and made me confused (but I'm no longer confused anymore, I know who it is). There were a couple of guys I wouldn't have minded being the Male Lead because surprisingly, they were actually quite interesting and not like those completely stereotypical XianXia secondary male leads. If Ning Xuemo had ended up with any of them, I would have been alright with it. But at the point in the story where the translations on Novel Updates are currently at, her love life is pretty wild.

This book is definitely recommended to people like stories with some cultivation and a super slow romance (not Posion Genius Consort slow though). The MC and the ML are more at the love-hate stage right now rather than completely ignoring each other. But maybe calling it a love-hate relationship in the latest chapters would be a bit of a stretch since she genuinely doesn't like the Male Lead right now. And I'm glad for that or I would have lost some respect for her if she forgot all her dislike for him just because he happens to be drop-dead gorgeous. But from what I've seen in the later chapters on the machine translation (which wasn't so bad), their relationship does get better and spicier. <<less

A decent story to pick up if you're in the mood for transmigrated powerful female protagonists, but not one to eagerly wait for. As a plus, the quality of the translation is very good.

It starts with the introduction of several intriguing characters which, unfortunately, get ditched to the side as the author steamrolls the action forward at breakneck speeds. After one problem is resolved another immediately rises to take its place. Neither the reader nor the protagonist has any time to simply stop, breathe, and take in the situation. The... more>> pacing gives me the impression that the author simply wanted to throw the main character from one area to the next as quickly as possible at the cost of leaving behind unresolved problems and side characters whom the readers had just started to like. This seems to be one of those stories where the protagonist rapidly gains rare items and abilities to solve current problems, only to completely forget about them with the next set of obstacles - everything is directed by the author's whims, rather than any attempt to create a cohesive story. The first hundred or so chapters are entertaining enough, but I lost faith in the story after that. <<less

Decent for what it is, a transmigrated, smart female MC immediately thrown into a palace intrigue and broken royal engagement.

This is one of those series that feels better once you have read similar titles, where you might think "why didn't this or that MC said or do this instead". This is because right off the bat you get the idea that this particular author had read those stories and decided to use those alternative paths for the story. What is slightly different than other similar stories is that the MC... more>> acts decisively and quite openly and hiding in plain sight. MCs in other stories often react in a hidden, barbed manner, but this one is quite brazen and fearless.

Needs more chapters, what is available are quite short. <<less

Great start to a novel. It is extremely similar some other novels with the theme of an experienced assassin/agent being reincarnated into the body of an unfortunate girl, whose family ostracizes her, and then her catching the eye of a powerful and suave prince. It is too early to tell if the book will be a carbon copy of the other similar novels, but either way it still is worth reading. As a side note, the grammar is not perfect but it does not really impact the reading of the... more>> story. <<less

It's not a bad story. Main character is actually very likable. Cultivation system is interesting.

However the moment the main character leaves the capital you should stop reading and just consider the entire thing done with. If you continue reading you should instead maybe think of it as a different story.

While there's some good parts, it's very much random wondering around by the author with no particular clear aim in mind. Much like a lot of other novels just veers into.... meaningless arcs of wondering aimlessly into dumb things. It's not... more>> worth your time.

In particular don't be surprised by like 50 chapters of just 2 characters interacting.... both of which "don't like to speak much" <<less

Liking it so far. The MC does not excessively try to integrate her way of life into that of ancient time which is quiet refreshing. She talks without those flowery language (at least not too much), she does not mind showing some skin, she'd kissed those 'children' freely, etc. Though she is quite a Mary Sue, she practically knows everything. The face-slapping is quite satisfactory too, but just so-so. It's good that she is not excessively cruel that she'd kill everyone in sight. Only those that wronged her but even... more>> then, only if they went too far. She still has her humanity intact.

Another thing I like is the slow building of romance in here. MC has not show any interest in any man yet, not even towards the ML. She has a bunch of admirers though, each one with very high profile.

Less one star because I don't quite like the ML. I understand that MC kind f*cked up his cultivation of one year, and then kissed him (who is a mysophobia), but that does not warrant him to make her drown in the lake for no reason but jealousy. Not only that but I also think that Calamitous Star, Lone Phoenix whatever is actually a false divination because he does not want other men near her, which is disastrous, because it invites all kind of b*tches who are too jealous for their own good and mess with the MC. Yes, I love how the MC face-smacking everyone in the end, but that still does not stop how irritating it is when people badmouth her right in front of her face.

Her admirers (except the Sixth Prince) are very decent and very likeable. It made me regretful that the ML is not on par. Not to mention that the ML is some kind of deity with admirers left and right, which mean there'll be more scheming in the future. Kinda repetitive.

Can't it be someone scheming against the male admirers instead? The story makes the female admirers of ML (and MC's admirers) too low while the male admirers of MC too noble. <<less

I feel like this novel is underrated a bit! It's really quite interesting and the MC will make ya laugh! I always get super excited when I see that it is updated! I think that if you're looking for something comical but also romantic at times, this novel would fit that category! Sadly the translations are slowing down as of now and later on in the future, dropped. Hopefully, another translator will stumble upon this great novel though!

Interesting transmigration story with a female MC that appears to be OP in her past. Her cross over seems to be smoothly transitioned into a 12 year old down on her luck girl being framed by her current fiancé, the sixth prince. Replete with her hosts memories and resentment, she's on her way into manipulating circumstances to her benefit.

Overall, it's a good start to the series, but I wouldn't recommend starting to read it now. The really short chapters and sporadic translation releases will annoy those following the story. Wait... more>> for more chapters or consistent releases. <<less

The chapters are short. Just getting herself out of her predicament takes about 14 chapters. Like other novels, this one also focus on quantity instead of quality.

ML has two, maybe three, different identities and appearances and frankly, it’s just doesn’t makes much sense to stick so much overpowered identities on him. It just felt like mud and sh*t on a person. The MC is lacking in terms of qualities.

The novel was pretty good and funny at the start but now it's just a pain in the ass trying to understand what's happening and why it's happening. Characters appear and disappear, are useless and can't understand the MC at all. MC herself is pretty much blind to the opposite parties feelings though it doesn't affect you. But after chapter 300, it started to become a complete mess.. Quilin is a useless pet, the previous male friends are removed to introduce new idiots and there is no cultivation what so... more>> ever! Ahhhh darn frustrating..! <<less

The story is pretty good, humorous and well written if not for the incredibly long fillers. Anyway it takes an estimate of 300 chapters to see the romance bloom and even from there, its a slow progress but its worth looking forward to.... ... more>>
Spoiler

Just that... I read some spoilers (cause just too curious and impatient) and they mentioned that the story would get pretty tragic after and then there's the name shi-something which is the ancestor aka the ML' s name so I'm getting impatient to know what about Han Shanyue?... dying to know if only I could read the raws.... Pls someone review on what's going on... I was sure he was the ML/ ancestor so if he wasn't, it be very disappointing since the romance (currently not much) is so like😀 and 😍... Im still looking forward to them tying the knot

Just saying ptw is lovelovelove... great story and greatly recommended however there still some downside which you'll eventually notice as you go along IF your patient enough to read which is the most flaw of the story cause you'll need extreme patience considering the 3000 long chapters and the excruciating pain of waiting for updates if your like me who can't read the raws especially the slow pace plot and fillers which is the main concern here.. but its Heart Heart <<less

In the genre "genius female lead transmigrates to another world's tr*sh general's daughter" I really like this novel.

When you get this genre to read, actually all of the novels feels the same, practilly just the names are changed.

But in this novel, just as GDBBM, the story follows the genre but inovates in the plot. The MC especially stands out, with a different character, it's not the arrogant genius, but a cunning and scheming intelligent lady. And instead of developing the super talent and soar through all others of her generation,... more>> she actually keep been a tr*sh, using mostly her otherworldly means to survive in the dog-eat-dog world she was thrown.

The romance too is different, with a slow development, but with enough twists and turns to keep the reader glued to it. It's a good novel, with great innovation, if you like the genre but is tired of the same plot, you should give it a try. <<less

I binge read this one till Chap 342.

The MC is an assassin who transmigrated into the body of a 12/13 yr girl (The age is 12 in first couple for chaps then changes to 13 after she meets the crown prince) who was accused of adultery. She redeems her self and plans to live a life without regrets.

Unlike other Novels of same theme, she does not focus on revenge. She usually is happy go lucky unless someone tries to mess with her.

From the blurb, we see 3 men who speak... more>> about her and the arcs for first 2 are done. The final one about the ancestor has not started.

The blurb actually makes the ancestor sound like a playboy but actually he is the coldest character.

Spoiler

the last time she meets him, she doesn't recognize him as he has done something to her memory. He says she is a bad omen and will bring misfortune to everyone around her, so she kisses him to pass her bad fortune to him via the kiss (keep in mind she is young, so her justification is silly). He gets so angry, he throws her from the second floor window, *harsh dude*

Till now, I don't see any real romance here. Its kind of dragging with nothing major happening.. <<less

Your typical female transmigration story, with it's usual cliches:

    • former owner of body suicides due to plot by some love rival
    • "tr*sh" body that's actually a peerless bodily physique
    • daughter of some general from a small country
    • typical mysophobic love interest
    • etc.
Spoiler

333 chapters in and she's still stuck in that little court yard with only 2 people (her most loyal butler and the transmigrator that transmigrated into a beast and only knows how to speak english). She's made a lot of progress in terms of power, but her relation with everyone else doesn't really seem like it's going anywhere anytime soon. Adding on to a few weird scenes (one where she pretty much molests the child form of this powerful expert, while thinking he's only a ginseng spirit) and all the weird modern day references (she once got caught up in an illusion, where she fought Godzilla with Sylvester Stallone and a rocket launcher O.o). All in all, it's not a bad read, but it's just not cup of tea.
