Story, writing, and translations are decent but what especially angers me is that 90% of the cast is annoying, including the MC's family, MC herself, and the constellation. The world building pisses me off because it seems like everyone is out to get the MC. The government is robbing hunters of their money, they have 20 years of mandatory service, and when they turn 17 everyone is forced to do an ability test and anyone who turns out to be a hunter is forced to work for them. At this... more>> point how have all the hunters not moved to America or literally anywhere else?

The MC's lack of communication and shyness causes misunderstandings between the main couple which could be easily resolved if they just talked. The thing with stories like this is when there's annoying characters and plot lines I need a lot of fluff to balance it out, which has yet to happen when I'm already halfway through the story. I'd say I experienced 70% anger and 30% fluff while reading this. Overall just disappointed because I thought this story had potential and also the high ratings. Unfortunately I'm not a masochist and I would prefer for my MC to have some backbone and happiness. <<less

Short review. It's fun.

The first 20 chapters introduced MC's background and family situation, and guided the readers to build contempt and frustration. Afterward, it was pretty fun to read. I felt like I was eating sweet potatoes while reading the MC's family bits, but I persevered because the plot was interesting.

Essentially, in the world of Gates and S through F class rankings, MC is ranked E. MC created dark history online when a video of her clinging onto a handsome anchorman crying for her idol's safety went viral. 10 years... more>> later, MC is contracted by a constellation to date that handsome reporter in return for S-class skills.

Thankfully the author doesn't create too many misunderstandings, the MC and Anchorman are honest and upright with each other about the situation surrounding their dating. It's an adorable relationship but our MC is weak mentally and has low confidence so the relationship is proving to be unbalanced with the anchorman putting in more effort. The plot is interesting and the couple seems to be growing steadily. <<less

So far pretty hilarious and interesting, even if her family is literally the worst, it has a good translation and I'm interested in more of the hijinks her constellation will put her up to in the name of love.

Also, this is not a super big spoiler since it's mentioned pretty early on but just in case :

The pop idol she would go see all the time is also an S Rank hunter now, very interested to see what happens in the future when he meets his biggest fan again.

This is very funny, I especially like the mischievous Constellation. Hara's parents need to be fed to a carnivorous rabbit, though. Looking forward to future hijinks!

first time leaving a review, but here are my thoughts on this: it's great! if you love dungeon type manhwa/stories with female leads this is right up your alley. I wouldn't say there's anything particularly special about it but I just can't stop reading for some reason.

one thing this novel does great would be portraying how AWFUL the MC's family members are. every time they appear my blood boils so, so much. the FL is really timid but you can tell why she turned out this way - she's a clear product of the environment she was raised in and she just deserves so much better : (I love seeing her grow out of her shell and fight back against her family.

another thing I adore is the mc's banter with cupid, it's really funny seeing their messages.

on a part im currently not too invested in for this novel would be how the romance hasn't really convinced me yet. anchor yoon is clearly falling for her slowly but idk uh... I guess the misunderstandings in their relationship (due to hara being sorta not good at communicating properly) gets a bit frustrating though there's only been one I can think of off the top of my head

when hara said she liked kwon wook (as an idol) and he interpreted it as a romantic interest, like cmon he's a national celebrity wouldn't it be more normal to assume she idolized him than seeing him in that way but oh well it's also pretty understandable

i guess if I read on a bit longer i'd be more convinced hopefully? rn I feel like hara just needs to heal and have her own growth / selflove rather than romance but I mean the literal premise is her constellation being cupid so that can't work.

the reason im reading this would be because of hara herself to be honest; she's not exactly a girlboss or the cool, strong-headed type so I can see if not everyone is into that sort of fl. she's really insecure too but she's slowly changing and developing confidence and I love to see that for her.

one aspect I feel like was such a massive waste of potential:

kwon wook. I know he's a piece of sh*t for doing that to our hara but he's kind of really interesting? like, I get so curious about his motivations and why he betrayed hara.
