Some people who “died” unexpectedly were selected to enter the Skynet (Tianwang) world, forced to outwit and outfight NPCs in the game.

Hello, this is D, and I'm also translating this series on Shanghai Fantasy under the title Players Please Take Your Positions. The original requester who asked KnoxT to pick up this series asked me to take over from scratch due to some discrepancies between the translation and raws. You may recognize my main project, Release the Female Lead.

For those who like mystery, horror survival with game elements mixed in, this is for you.

The two main female leads, Xiao Muyu and Shen Qingqiu, are both ruthless and smart, so you won't... more>> have to get frustrated with naive MCs who can't think on their feet and don't want to get their hands dirty. This is where the power couple tag comes from.

The infinite flow genre means that they are put in different games/scenarios, and have to find ways to clear them.

[Edit: The discussion dialogues in arc 2 is a slog. Geez. Necessary, but it could've been simplified.]

Also, note the Mature tag, as there are some graphic disturbing content, and possibly s*xual content, not suitable for readers below 15yo. I give warnings for chapters that have those, so you can mentally prepare yourself before proceeding.

I’m still on Chapter 90, but I have to say, this story gave me goosebumps all over while reading. It’s my first time coming across a novel like this—especially a horror one. Each world in the story is unique and immersive, and there are so many unexpected plot twists that completely shocked me. I’m really bad at guessing what will happen next, so it was totally unpredictable for me. The third and fourth worlds, in particular, were so confusing that they messed with my mind, but I still managed to... more>> learn a thing or two from them.

There are rarely any annoying characters in this story since most of them either get dealt with or get fed up by ghosts. I really like the writing style, and the details about the ghosts made me shudder. At first, I thought I wasn’t scared of the dark anymore... but I still am! Thankfully, the main characters have great chemistry. They’re hiding a lot from each other, but I can somewhat piece things together.

I also love how the main character is smart and different from the usual naive MCs. This time, the MC has a fresh personality. In most stories I’ve read, the MC is usually like a fox—cunning and sly—but here, the perspective comes from a black cat, which is a nice change. Honestly, it would be even more interesting if the MC was the top this time because I’m tired of the usual dynamics. I always wanted to see a personality like this in a top role, you know? And for the FL, I’d love to see her as the bottom for once.

The story is so interesting that I ended up staying up all night reading it, and now I’m scared out of my wits. So, I warn you all—read this in the daytime!

As for the side characters, they don’t just get carried along by the main leads. They have their own strengths and contribute to the story, which makes them feel complete. It’s really cute how they all complement each other. Plus, the side relationships are still developing, so I’m excited to see more of them!

Not my cup of tea.

The story isn't terrible nor is the concept outright bad. It just wasn't for me.

The story is basically about a woman (Muyu) who is forced to participate in a deadly game that will forever trap her in the world she perish\fails in. And by chapter 200~ she's in her 8th game\world.

It's basically a mystery\horrorish survival game novel.
