Lin Feng tried to be the diligent and hard-working good guy. He studied hard, did his best to make his family proud and not get into trouble, but when he saw a girl being taken advantage of, he had to intervene. He had been tricked, sentenced to 10 years in jail and framed for a crime he never committed, all was lost. If his life was over he would take those who ruined his life with him

Suddenly he opens his eyes again. He is not dead, but alive in the body of the Lin Feng of a different world. This Lin Feng had been killed as trash of cultivation. This world where the strong had no regard for human life and would kill freely if they had the strength. Called “trash” and thrown away, with vengeance in his heart he will rise to new heights opposing the will of heaven and earth.

“Do not judge others in ignorance within my presence.

Those who think to harm someone should be ready to be harmed.

Those who are open and respectful shall receive my kindness and respect.

Those who plot against me are seeking their own death.

This is true, for I am death… I am Lin Feng”

This is serial has a good start now a days it turned in to a game where he offended me so that guy has to die instead he dies in the end. It kinda of boring to see the story built on the same concept.... but this series has very good dialogues.... this novel is worth reading for its magical words

I really like it in the beginning where he is basically establishing himself and the story felt very good. But then he gets really arrogant which is a huge turn off for me. Think Chu Feng-level arrogant toned down a bit (Lin Feng.... what a coincidence.. >.>). Suddenly, it will turn into a harem out of nowhere. O__O

A typical xianxia novel that you can read after reading all the nicer novels out there. As the plot is generic, highly repetitive and words are often used repeatedly. Very suitable for killing time if you are not very particular about repetitive plots. My review only consists of my own opinion that helps you in deciding whether you will read this novel. It is not to debate on other peoples' opinion on the novel.

Let me elaborate on the points I mentioned above,

    1. The MC goes by a rule which if one decides to offend him, he will go all out to annihilate the offender. Which sometimes only involves mild provoking of the offender. The MC would just abandon his/her cultivation, sever their limbs, or kill them. The ending of the offender is always the same, dies. There are no anticipation of what is the ending for his enemy as throughout the novel it is so repetitive to the point that you know whats gonna happen for his enemy who had offended him.
    1. The same situation mentioned in point number 1 repeats TOO FREQUENTLY.

So in every 2 to 3 chapters there will be fights involving the MC for the same provoking reasons. For example, cultivator A disregards the MC and insults him as a weakling (highly prevalent). MC will... more>> get triggered and decides to give cultivator A a humiliation by overpowering him/her in a fight and lastly end their lives. Next, stronger backups from their clan or organisation would come to attack the MC and he will just annihilate the clan. This is repeated throughout the novel I assure you. It is understandable if the cultivator gets killed because of insulting or endangering his loved ones, aka girlfriend/wives/parents but it gets totally mundane and boring if it happens to random people on the streets or in some meetings just because the offender does not know the capabilities of the MC.
    1. After those points mentioned above, the MC would level up and goes to a bigger field and restarts all those nonsense mentioned in point 1 and 2. Which the process would repeat all over again.
    1. I dont really like to criticise vocabulary but the author only knows how to incorporate the word "DIE" into fights between cultivators. It's 1000001% shown whenever there are fights.
    1. There are 2000+ chapters in this novel, if I can realise these issues at the start of the novel @ 500+ chapters, think about what lies throughout the 2000+ chapters. Thus, you should read this novel when you are extremely bored and dont want to fly a kite.
However, there are also some good mentionable points if you decided to embark on this novel,

    1. The romance is somewhat okay as it shows the process of the MC gradually making the cold tempered girl (meng qing) to fall in love with him. (IMO) The princess romance I think it somewhat forced upon, still manageable I guess.
    1. The cultivation style is generic yet straight forward to the audience. (You can understand easily unlike emperor's domination, i've no idea wtf they are talking about lmao xD)
    1. time killer I guess? If you have nothing else better to do, read this.
Lastly, if you choose this novel thinking that it may mindblow you, let me disappoint you because it is not. Dont expect too much from this novel. <<less

I had a great time reading this. Can agree with other negative comments in the part that many events look repetitive and story is very long. But for me it was not a problem since author managed to keep my interest and emotions burning on every spin of events. For the whole story I had no thought about dropping it. This alone is enough for me to give 5 star. Was very refreshing since it's different from other books I read recently. Style may be a little weird for western... more>> public, so I would say novel is not for everyone but if you like it this will keep you occupied for a very long time. <<less

A novel that started off quite interesting but turned repetitive in order to be dragged out. That's fine and all since most authors do this to make a living so read this when you have nothing better to do. The only issue I have is the bad grammar and the awkward sounding conversations that ruin my immersion. Here's a quick example: Mo Yang Feng blinked, some people laughed, Lin Feng was ridiculous, kneel down and apologize?

If those can be fixed, this novel will have a 4 star rating from me.... more>> And do not count how many times the word "die" is uttered by people because it will drive you nuts. <<less

Subjective and jumping the gun review

A really boring novel. It's not that bad if you just read first hundreds chapters but after that you'll notice it's just endless loop of doing the same things all over with different side characters. MC has the greatest plot armor ever and fate will always in his side.

If you ask me if I want to read something like this for 2500 chapters? No thanks. Piece of advice, there's also PMG 2.

Ah! too much violence.

The MC would often kill someone for rubbing him in the wrong way. what the hell? he justify it also... better have a peace of mind than reading it... The MC is like a WALKING DISASTER yet he transmigrate from modern time, no sophisticated ideas. better should had a different back drop.. it more like a hate story...

This novel gets a lot of hate for some reason but it is not much different from any other average novel out there.

As many others of the genre it is a cliche trash-turn-genius novel with plain characters and many "young masters" who want to kill the MC because reasons.

You should not expect much from it but it is still entertaining. If you like this kind of novel, just go for it.

PMG is a great work I think, although personally I don't like how Lin Feng started. He pretty much would clash with someone if they just clash with his shoulder type of guy. There were also lengthy room of his 'speeches' arguing with the crowd, which, does makes him look all smart, but also very arrogant and conceited early on.

That aside, I like many elements of the story. In many magical/ cultivation themed work, the author would just give characters power withouth explaining its source properly. This is not the... more>> case with PMG. The author put effort in explaining how his character would gain his power and most of the time his power up doesn't come by mastering new technique, but instead by understanding more about his ability. This is why I think PMG scales its main character's power growth very well.

I also like the characters and twists. Although it doesn't give you enough to play detective, it is still nice to have a bumpy ride rather than a smooth journey sometimes. Can't say much about the harem though, I think this is normally seen in much wuxia novels as well.

There are also confusing thigns though, PMG uses concept of world inside world, which makes me kind of confused as to how PMG's universe is built, since, unlike for example the realm structure in MGA, it doesn't follow any certain pattern whatsoever.

Personally, I think this is good read. Lin Feng is not a very amiable person and I don't favor him much, but I like how other characters are depicted. Won't really reccomend it for starters, but it is good read if you have read oneor two wuxia novels and want to read more works. <<less

This novel is not that bad.. ill say above average (4.2)

The story is pretty good, the main problem is THE TRANSLATOR, he keeps repeating some word even tho we already know it was a cancerous WORDS and the Translator dont have wording sense... in this novel, translator called Beast as an Animal... even when MC's wife turn to snow fox, MC keeps calling her Animal, Animal, Animal... like

" ohh.. look at her, what a cute animal you become, such as animal you are "

The translator of this... more>> novel is worse than machine trans, imagine he keeps repeating word like

" ohh.. that is the piece of trash I saw earlier, what piece of trash he is... "

And your going to deal with that word until chapter 800.. the translator wont change the words and keep exaggerating the words like a b***h, and I dont get it... why call it animal clan, animal qi, animal strength... the fck why not beast clan, beast qi, beast strength...? Its so much better... and human is called human being, human being, human being... why not call it human instead...

And is main wife even call his mother in name... not like mother in law or mother... she call her by name... like wtf..? YES, the TRANSLATOR IS SUCK..

The story of the novel is pretty good.. my only problem is the TRANSLATOR... hope if you read this comment UPGRADE YOUR TRANSLATING SKILLS.. your like a grade school... <<less

I won't write much but one thing that I hate most in this is novel is personalities, mostly of MC parents

The whole sh*t (story) , I read actually messed up my mind, just think you are fighting enemies and almost died most of the time (like seriously) but somehow manage to survive and continue your hardships but when he met his so called powerful mother she just told him (MC) that she was watching his growth, like seriously, was she really watching her son or she watching something for entertainment,... more>> not helping him, let her own son be called different types of curses, let him jump from life and death situations or when his sect was destroyed.

And our great MC even after knowing that she was his mother aka owner/creater of love garden which he frequently visits but still don't come out and still playing hide and seek for no apparent reason and still easily accepts everything when she appeared to save him, really really a spineless, brainless, character less MC of ours.

It was much better if his mother was died from the befbeginn.

Great work author keep writing sh*ts. <<less

It's okay. Repetitive and only worth reading if you have nothing but time to waste. It starts off okay enough but is just another generic novel.

I don't like to drop anything despite how bad it might be but this came close. It was when the MC declares he doesn't believe in reincarnation despite him having transmigrated from our world and having a fellow disciple who studies reincarnation cultivation.

Only read if bored.

I hate this novel so much yet I enjoyed it at the same time. It was like a drug to me. Throughout the whole novel I wanted to drop it because of how repetitive it is. The MC is constantly making enemies for no apparent reason and it's like he can't even walk outside without someone wanting to kill or cripple him whether it be for fun or a legit reason. Ok it starts off good and gets you hooked because the concept seems alright and you can easily get... more>> drawn in because who doesn't like an op MC who isn't afraid to kill right? However there has to be limits. The MC literally has gone 100 chapters without making any significant growth in his cultivation level because he was off getting into fights with some random leaf in the wind. It is ridiculous to the point that (He can walk outside and someone will want to cripple him for breathing the same air as them). The MC doesn't give a **** about status or power he will go out of his way to offend a whole clan and then wonder why they are desperate to kill him. Yet somehow he is always in the right because who told them to try to kill him and fail right? He has to defend himself right? He is a saint who is simply carrying out divine retribution when he slaughters their whole clan right? If you can overlook these flaws then by all means dive into this novel and enjoy. I still cannot comprehend how I made it so far in the novel considering I spent the last week reading it and fighting myself over whether to drop it or not. <<less

This is a really good novel. With MC that you wont find in any other story. He understand that he's not the stongest yet he strive for it. Rely not always solely on himself because sometimes he required help from other like flame emperor currently qiong qi. He taught a lot about knowing your limit is the best way dealing with obstacles. In previous story there is a jade door he cant open in yunhai sect. But he'll return someday when he' s stronger. And the story sometimes got a... more>> good plot twist such when duan wu ya betray him. <<less

First off im going to finish reading this. Why? Because I started and I will get an itch wondering how it actually ended. Now why should anyone read this? Because you have nothing else and you like OP characters that don't mind killing everything. The basic story is boring, the main character can do anything, has OP spirits, has OP understanding, he is basically a god. Yes its part of the title but I can guess what will happen in 100 chapters and be correct on 80% of it. Its... more>> so self fulfilling that no matter what happens, no matter what enemy the main character meets, no matter how unlikely it is for gin to meet anyone he will do it, achieve it, he will juat win. Even when he is 10 "levels" weaker then his enemy he will end up on top. Its anoying and its repetitive as ****! So dont start it, dont read it unless you dont mind that from the beginning you know how it will end and the story between points A and B is the same always.

so I finished reading it months ago and thought that there was nothing else to add but here is something. The Author messed up by not really giving the MC a real challenge. The last fight was so anticlimactic that what little tension was build didnt pay off. Also the side characters were largely forgotten, even the "harem", is sidelined and all focus on them is lost. The people that he met from the very beginning, his brother, deciple, friends, none have any real closure. I find that it feels like I just let myself get addicted to this novel just because I lacked other things to read <<less

Very good novel.

I like the MC because he is strong and sticks to his principles and is not too arrogant. I like his long speeches from time to time and when he gets his revenge.

The FLs are quite cute (MQ is my fav tho) and sweet with the ML.

He makes good friends and which he cares for and visa versa.

All I can say is that the early stage of the novel is good, however the lines that Lin Feng always say when he is mad is so cringy for me, the words he use is not overbearing at all, but the novel is always say that the crowd is always shocked it's exaggerated like awhite guy trying hard.

He is always provoked for no reason?? Thats not amusing at all... Its like the author is running out of ideas on how to make Lin Feng in trouble.

Lin Feng might be... more>> talented in this novel but, the people around him is breaking through in slow pace (except Duan Feng), especially Meng Qing.

I thought the novel was good but as I read it I get bored and disappointed.

Peace😁 <<less

I was looking for novels with lots of chapters and this had +400 and a lot of people recommended it. What the hell? This is such a garbage. I sympathized with the MC at first but in the end I actually wanted to join the people who wanted to kill him. The writing is utter rubbish as it is just same repeat of "you are trash! Arrgh! *Dead*". The MC kept telling people how shameless they were for the way they act in almost every encounter I felt that the... more>> author must have a copy paste for that dialogue. Everyone is arrogant but honestly, I find the MC to be the worst as he becomes a hypocrite.

There was a huge controversy with the translator disappearing for months with little to no info on whether the novel was dropped. I am not going to go into that except say that when she was translating, her release schedule was incredible. Maybe once the story is finished translating I will go back to finishing it. But that has more to do with my OCD personality than actual interest for the story. <<less

The story looks depth and insightsa into the inner thoughts of the MC. I actually did not know this Xianxia story is a harem. The MC seems very monogamous and after 300 chapter the farthest I have seen is Lin Dong skinny dipping with the princess of Xi Yue in a acidic purple lake and making out with his beloved Meng Qing. The most interesting scenes are their ways of expressing their love.

The love or attraction between the MC and Meng Qing and the princess. In Meng Qing's case they... more>> met in a mountain. He was the first guy he met. He would tell her stories that she would love to hear. She defended him and afterwards he eased her sufferings from the cold. This is enough for love to begin.

As for the princess the MC became her savior twice. They went throuqh a near death experience together. She felt bad for mistreating him and he was not false in his attitude towards her. He did not pretend to like her like all the guys that she knew and that is how she began a crush/obsession/love towards him. It is kind of messy where exactly her feelings lie.

The problems with this story is that it lacks depth. The truly smart and perhaps insidious people have not come into direct conflict with the MC even after 300 chapters. The people the MC deals with are very arrogant, domineering, with eyes at the top of their heads. In many battle scenes I understand why the crowd believes Lin Feng will lose such as he is relatively unknown or has a lower cultivation base so the crowd believes he will lose and this repeats a lot throughout the series.

The mot1ivation that leads to a battle scenes are ridiculous sometimes. A cultivator can hear how strong Lin Feng is and now wants to cripple or kill him. This is stupid as that means the side villains have extremely low self esteem or are extremely conceited that only they can be in the spotlight. As martial artist their beliefs in their own strength should not be shaken so easily nor should they be filled with so much vanity.

Not all motivations are this ridiculous such as figting a love rival, fighting for a beautiful woman, fighting for ones country, beliefs, status, sect, and such. Nonetheless these moTivations are not expounded many times and seem superficial causing the characters to lack depth or wisdom.

Also the side characters are given very little depth so they seem more like followers. Although some are given background stories a lot are just there to have conversations when the MC is fighting. This story's love is the best part of this xianxia. Besides this the fight scenes are interesting.

The thing is the story lacks good plot armour causing the story to be rated poorly by many. <<less
