Ahh those that say that this novel is great are amateurs when it comes to Xuanhuan or Xianxia novels. This is the epitome of basic. The fights are decent but its almost always caused by arrogant young masters. After his treasures or women and jealous of his talent or potential love rival. Legit you wont see any sort of different conflicts.

thats why I dont like this novel. Its far too predictable. Also whenever he is in a pinch something or someone saves him. Or if he is at the 9th... more>> layer of that realm then most definitely lightning will strike down and he will awe everyone. Its happened 3 or 4 times already. Such a basic plot armor should be used once and only once yet this novel always does it.

romance is not too bad. The first girl is just an arrogant plant. Yes I literally said it, she is a plant. A radish or somesh*t like that idk. Weird af and she is a tsundere which is also pathetic. The other girl is far more interesting and has a great redemption arc. Started out as a villain that you wanted dead but then she slowly redeemed herself. The MC hated her but she slowly kept melting his heart.

overall this novel is basic. It does have its good parts which is why the 2 stars. But its far too repetetive, too many tournaments, too many secret realms where he always gets the best stuff. He suffers losses but almost always they are from sneak attacks. I dont recommend to veteran readers of this genre. It is too predictable. He also offends anyone and everyone. He is only alive because he is the MC. If some powerful expert that can one shot him told him "talk to me or I will kill you" he will stick up a finger up at him and throw dirt at him and run. Why? No reason other than he doesnt do what others tell him to do, unless your a pretty girl. <<less

yea, ive read all there is up till now, and its not good. There is a little part of it that works, but there are so many problems with the novel. It does improve a little after chapter 1200 maybe, but its in no way worth reading that far or jumping in just to get to the marginally better part.

Great to turn your brain off too.

The novel itself isn't that bad as long as you ignore the characters who only know how to kiss ass and call everyone and every thing tr*sh.

In addition to the characters that think there the god king of the world and everyone elses exist just to use there worthless lives to serve them.

... more>> With that as well as getting use to seeing the word "tr*sh" as at this point in the story I don't think there's been single chapter wothout it being used.

The story pretty good as the MC even though his eyes are so high above his head he wouldn't be able to see mount tai while standing at it's foot, but other than that he's gotten rid of every enemy he has that he could so far so he's okay in my book.

Over all: 3.4/5 stars <<less

TBH, I think this is a great novel. Idk if its one of the best out there, but so far I'm impressed.

The MC bows to no one, will put his life on the line for close ones and kill ruthlessly. Yes you may get the occasional "get on your knees and kowtow", and "this tr*sh and that tr*sh", but think about it.. In Asian culture you really only give kowtows to who you respect, but to give kowtows to some as*hole is considered humiliating. You just gotta live with it.... more>> He meets girls but don't really care about them cause he's on the road to a cultivator. He was blessed with a spirit that was from the nine heavens so of course he's gonna be pretty good and ahead of others regarding strength and such. And what happens when you have POWER? You become GREEDY and FULL of YOURSELF.. We all see this on a daily basis anyways so I don't understand why people get worked up about it in the novel. The MC remains humble and only kill those who threaten him... like... I just don't understand people.

A lot of other novels where the MC died and reincarnated ends up knowing too much and they set themselves up for better success than their previous life. This MC don't know what is going on and he learns along the way. This novel has really good well-thought out names for cities, martial arts and such which I enjoy. I don't know flaming punch or water kick like a few mangas (not LN) I have read.

Just my 2 cents. Its a great novel, may not be the best because I haven't read all novels out there, but worth the read. <<less

3 stars is perfect for this, just something to read when your bored but not awful

It does the cookie cutter things we expect past the first conflict where the setup is always going to be some type of, reward system, get into this new place or Sect or something.

Turn evil people don't want to see the MC the rise up because his rank is low, gets the person coming into take said winners and give Awards to become temporary or permanently evil.

Other person comes "a strong backer/helper" to then... more>> one shot or fight said higher-level corrupt person, while main character deals with people slightly stronger than him at the moment.

It gets a little convoluted, later on I could tell you one or two good things he's not a damn skirt chaser, not every single pretty girl in trouble he needs to stops his entire life for.

None of that trick you into raping someone nonsense.

Pretty clear on fighting doesn't stockpile useless abilities there's, literally a point in time where that uses abilities gets deleted from his mind.

Pretty straightforward half the time, what-you-see-is-what-you-get.

What I can say is they try to make Side characters still relevant, I respect that.

Maybe I was just ready for worse so to me this is still not as bad, other novels are far worse, I'm not sure why people hate this so much it's just mediocre it's not terrible there's a difference.

The only reason why I could see anyone hate this, is they do the very annoying Trope of not allowing the main character to level up, because the world knows if he to get as strong as certain other characters he would be a danger to them, so the author creates ridiculous circumstance where the character just doesn't level up, and then you got to get another 30 chapters before they do. <<less
