I really liked this novel at the start, but the author was able to transtorm something really good in some crap

The MC becomes a jerk (he's some total hypocrite) and the author tries to fool the readers into thinking that the MC being cruel, underhanded and disgusting is awesome

What the hell?

I read all of this author novel but have not finish one of them because I can't. I have come to the conclusion that the author is a hypocritical piece of crap. Literally in all his novel he paint a picture of the main character having certain morals that make him a good person in general and not a evil person. Then the story progress and the MC does exacty opposite of his moral and become what he suppose to hate. This happen quit often in this novel especially. Then... more>> he use lame excuses such as the MC saying that he never said he was a good person but my counter to that is yea but he did state his moral and standard and what he's doing is the exact opposite of it. This author uses lame excuse or barely logical reason to try to justify the action of MC but if you pay attention then you relise they're all s*upid and goes against the MC orignal moral and standard.

They say you can get a sense of who someone is through there writing and I can tell you through the 5 novels I TRY to read of his that he's a hypocrite that worth less then his villain because at least most of his villain acknowledge that they are villain. His MC tr*sh talk villain or even kill them for there action and he turn around and make his MC do the exact same thing but with a lame excuse attach so you'll think it's okay. <<less

When u know that u've faked ur background n got caught by cops, then something like this can be written.

Pros: 1) some bad s*x scenes where MC thinks himself as johnny sins n indulges into it for a whole night n trying to butcher a v*gina alive.

2) some motivational lines which seriously motivate you tp the point that u'll find urself stop wasting time n stop reading it. (This is true)

3) female animals who can tranform into human female are really ravishing n super beautiful. (this is the... more>> universal formula for creating beauties while mainting the concept of universal love)

Mie will literally steal ur heart away n u'll find fantasizing about her the same way u did with tsunade sama??

Cons: 1) sadly, no one can kill MC n u've to tolerate his nonsense untill u give up or novel finishes.

2) character: when u create a character suffering from multiple personality disorder

A) MC is a super assassin who never missed a target, never fell in love or had any serious relationship but after he transmigrates, he becomes leecher, pe*vert n johnny sins with camer rolling.

B) jun moxie will have her peach fruit n female will fall left, right n centre for no apparent reason. Even axe deoderants fail to pull such an effect.

C) MC will be made to look like cunning but alas he's not. Obnoxious plot armour with rabid personality n heaven defying capabilities. MC can disappear, become invisible, travel through space or hide there....... while no1 assassin. Damn just give a dog half such abilities I'm sure he can establish a dog nation but remember no matter how strong MC is, he can't just get past aphrodisiac.

D) women are there for getting fake angry reaction, crying, opening legs, demonstrating MC's s*xual performanceas they literally knocked out while having s*x that too 3-4 times in a single stand, saving MC by having s*x n sacrificing their v**ginity......

E) villians are good as they have fun with playing zorro. We kill only non important, random characters.

3) everything is random as MC wants to stand strongest in the world. So let's meet some girls while face slapping some villians n using out of this world abilities.

I don't even know why I keep reading this until this chapter. But this novel just no no for me. I hate the harem in this novel.I mean the female leads in this novel are totally unbearable dumb and annoying. I had a big expectation in this novel since I love Transcending nine heavens and realm in firmament novels from the same author but this one is just not for me.

I've read this novel since I had nothing else better to do and most of the novel I've been reading is slowly being updated.

The novel is ok, not perfect but enjoyable if you ignore some stuff. One big issue I had trouble dealing with the novel while reading it was that the female characters are unbelievably annoying. I can't count how many time I had to punch my face to get rid of the idea of just punching my monitor everytime a s*upid female within the novel did something s*upid... more>> and doesn't think. Incase your wondering if I was exaggerating, no I'm completely serious here. The joke in the story start off funny but fall off later in the chapters. The MC doesn't really have a purpose in life or in that world to be more preicse. There are lots of nonsense that goes on as well, such as the uncle dumping a whole load of BS on the MC and the MC just find it interesting. Most sh*t that goes down are cause by his uncle s*upid decision and is force on the MC since he is now living inside a body that has blood tie within his clan or family.

But anyway the issue I've stated above are mainly the stuff I had problem with within those 354 chapter I've read. And I'll probably drop it soon since it is getting annoying at time to read about those s*upid female everytime and get pissed off by their decision. By all mean I have nothing against female, but if you've read the novel than you would understand my point exactly. The novel start off good but fall off later, including comedy. The big issue I had was with the female and secondly the uncle BSing nonsense. Read this novel only if your totally out of novel to read and just wanna waste your time. I wouldn't recommend this novel to friends unless they've read everything and just wanna waste time to read something new. <<less

A good book but with the potential to be a better one. Author writing, story concept, development, characters are great. Only problem is-

• MC is way too op for my taste. When he is only in the first realm he can go undetected from last realm experts. Hell, he can even evade their attacks. He is fast enough catch them off- guard. Even when he is hit he almost doesn't get wounded. Come on, those experts are at the world and MC is just a beginner cultivator.
• In this novel experts are so frail that when MC is at first realm he can hurt peak experts when he hits them in throat or heart. Come on how the hell he can follow their speed to attack them let alone hit them in specific places and eben if he hits them how can hit them how can he wound them that's a mystery. Let alone MC is using his hand not any weapon.
• Author has a assassin complex. He describes assassins like they are some kind of divine being. Specially Mc's last life description is one of a kind.
• MC is a jack of all trades and he is godly at them. How that possible that is a mystery too I mean that guy in his last life was a assassin and I don't think assassins has to know everything to kill people.

There are good points too-

• MC is intelligent, decisive, scheming, op, caring etc
• Story is entertaining, well developed, characters are ever growing.

All in all it's a good story to read.

The character progression is slow, that is undeniable. The characters can actually make you laugh aloud sometimes depending whether you get the jokes mentioned, however when they are not battling, being hilarious or scheming it's dry. As of now only one female lead truly has her character partially developed, the rest are still rather bland. It's an enjoyable read, but it is definitely not for everyone.

Introduction: This story is about a top assassin which is reincarnated from another world. The body he take over is a debauchee, grandson of a general. The generals family is in tight situation because the emperor or the other officials is being wary of them. Well there are more in-depth problem in the story which you will know if you read it.

Comment: I personally like this because of the following:
1. Assassins - yup, love this profession. I'm actually planning to apply (if I fail in my current strive profession which is not too far. XD).
2. Blood, Gore and Violence - very abundant in novel, these parts is actually graphic so if you don't like it, discretion is advised.
3. Characters - not all some you can just ignore. (BTW love the grandfather)
4. Comedy - hmmm.... it has a unique style in terms of this. Can't explain it just read it.

Romance: This is POLYGAMY so... if you don't like it then just ignore it and continue reading the novel. XD

Main Character:
1. Apathetic Killer (except for family&friends)
2. Value benefits over feelings (specially evident in romance, he choose his main wife because there is more benefit on it than because he fall in love on her)
3. Unpredictable disposition

Final Thoughts: Compared to the other novels of Fengling Tianxia (TTNH&RiTH) I think I still prefer this because I love assassins. It doesn't have so many cliche CN moments (although still present). You can feel military vibe of it and will definitely make you goosebumps.

when I first read this novel I really enjoyed it. It was different from the constant repetitive slaughter of other novels.
but sadly this quickly turned stale and it annoyed me to no ends.

I'll continue to read this but.. Its rather fustrating to read sometimes :\
The MC was the no.1 assassin before he reincarnated, and for bare-bones comedy he acts like a complete ret*rd which just makes me shake my head. He blames his pe*verted acts on the guy he transmigrated into and it gives the impression he's one of those people who justify what they do to make them 'right'. It's slow and even though it's past 200+ chapters it feels like its barely progressed.

The novel is very enjoyable, though the MC is very contradictory to his actions and statements. Nonetheless, OEM is great! Though I find the chapters short due to the author's style of writing, the explanations while seemingly irrelevant at most times, it adds flavor to the chapters imo. But you also get a few parts where you want the story to progress faster and then the explanations will seem annoying at times. But still, the novel so far is interesting. Hopefully it continues to be better as I read further.

OP-ness of the MC is not too overly used and his tactics are fun to read. Plot-wise, it has several various things happening at the same time. Trouble comes left and right, and none have yet to be resolved. I can only expect a badass resolution to them. The characters are likeable, though only a certain few have enough to be likeable. The others aren't important enough or the story has yet to progress to have any character development with them.

I love this one. I think the most uncomfortable thing is that people beat him up when he can kill them easily. Reading it makes me slightly upset. It takes perseverance to want to hide your ability that well. The MC is true to his personality, while changing slightly over time.

This one does suffer from Fenglin Tianxia's habit of virg*n characters who don't know how to deal with women, but not the the same degree as his character in RIF so I still like it till this point.

Take the lower rating seriously. I didn't and they're right.

MC is never in any danger, because everyone else doesn't have a brain. And that's in xianxia usual brainless other characters standard.

This copy other popular novels plot and did a crap job at adapting them.

Once in a while there's some s*upid attempt and making characters 'wise' came out randomly and then its gone instantly in an effort to sound deeper. It's like burying your head into the ground, that deep. And it didn't dig the hole with its hand, it used its head to dig the hole.

It's a fun power fantasy with a morally neutral protagonist who's very shameless and arrogant, and the world pretty much entirely revolves around him. It has the usual higher power-levels coming out of nowhere so the MC has strong enemies, the author forgetting stuff and being inconsistent for the sake of drama, and a romance that doesn't even conclude until the final epilogue chapter... but the MC often tortures his enemies to death and the shamelessness is really funny, so I was easily able to binge all the way through.

The... more>> romance is also the best I've seen in a cultivation novel so far (which is honestly not saying much, but especially the bickering and such are great)... except for the fact that it progresses well for a while, then just stays stagnant for over 800 chapters while adding women. It's definitely not the best-written thing I've read (seriously, the biggest battle is because the enemies are ugly and the MC hates the Japanese), but but it's great as long as you can turn your brain off and enjoy it. <<less

Tried to pick and reread as I dropped it in the past but there's some kind of problem to MC's attitude that stops me from continuing. His character is derived from cliche and annoying mob tropes. He had a same personality of some 3rd rate villain. He also acts like some arrogant young master. And he's very hypocrite. It's just so hard to like the MC for me. Although MC is shameless, that's taken for granted as a shameless MC is the norm, although he has an op cheat, it could do little than to help him run away and to help him look intimidating at the start, although the Hongjun Pagoda plays a huge rule in the later part in the novel, it doesn't happen too quickly, although it's pretty weird that he went from someone who was bullied by a girl to someone who was loved by the same girl, the IQ of the side characters... more>> is hella low, if that was not the case the novel would've taken a 180-degree turn for the worse as the MC would've been killed off so the author would need to thicken the plot armor and introduce new cheats which would make it completely BS, the author didn't show the fight between the nine nether first young master and the MC at the end, missing out on that is one of my biggest regrets. That's the only reason I give it 4 stars.

It's a good novel, if you can ignore racism like me. I didn't even paid attention towards that racism, because I just laid back and read it. Of course I ended this novel somewhat in year, because I did some pauses and didn't finish it at one go.

Is it worth reading? - What can I say, every person have their own needs. For me it's definitely worth it. If you don't know if it suits your taste, just try reading about 50-200 chapters, if you ok whatever happens until then,... more>> then give it a go. About harem in this novel, I truly liked it, of course for my taste it could have had more interaction between female leads and main character (it's totally personal opinion). There weren't much repetitive sh*t because of harem members, like c*cky bast*rds and so on. Main character truly liked bully others with his wits and dictionary. Well ending could have been written a little bit better to suit my taste.

My personal points on some things:

• • Action - 9-10/10 - well I didn't felt like there wasn't enough action in this novel.;

This novel has a lot of things going for it in terms of plot, comedy, characters, etc. The main problem which makes me consider dropping it every other chapter is that pretty much every single interaction follows these steps:

1. Brief contest of strength to compare the power of the MC and *opponent*.
2. *Opponent* presents their barely veiled goals which are detrimental to the MC.
3. MC has an agonizingly long (sometimes full chapters) monologue about why strength is the most important thing and why he, who has strength, has the moral right to bully those who are weaker.
4. Reaction along the lines of "MC was obviously right so *opponent* couldn't say anything to defend themselves"
5. *opponent* leaves OR they fight again.

I never appreciate it when an author spells out how we are supposed to feel about... more>> an argument rather than just making a reasonable argument, and this coupled with the insane mental gymnastics about morality in this novel just takes it to a whole new level of undeserved self-righteousness.

Also, I don't know how things usually work in China, but I have always seen the honor system of whole families (as well as their allied families) immediately becoming mortal enemies of MC because he "humiliated" some dude once as an incredibly lazy way to generate infinite conflict chain reactions for the MC. Almost every single conflict seems like it could be easily solved by just conversing like adults instead of getting angry over nothing?? <<less

The MC being reincarnated from the modern times to a "historic" time where cultivation plays a big role is nice but there is no point of the MC being from the modern times as none of the achievements form the modern time in used in the new world except his experience when he trained.

The whole thing with the other race may be kind disgusting for some people as the race is composed of of being who are man at the front and woman at the back but how the the MC and his gang behaved towards them was just overboard especially that the race was born that way and couldn't change anything about it. The whole thing went towards racism as the race was compared to japanese people and and was insulted as result.

The MC needs to have his mouth thoroughly washed; too many expletives and racism. All the women just falls for MC for no rhyme or reason and the story isn’t that original, it’s pretty much similar to al the other CN of the same genre. The most annoying thing is the author compulsive rehashing the story every other chapter!!! Although we aren’t Einstein, we do not need rehashing summary every few chapters.

A decent read nothing too groundbreaking and would not recommend reading unless you are out of good stuff to read.

Pros:

• • Decent dose of comedy

• • Glib tongued MC and interesting ways of taking revenge

• • Decent Harem

Cons:

• • Non-existent cultivation (no hard work, MC has a cheat and his progression "just-happens")

• • Fights are not interesting enough (if you compare with other cultivation novels)
