I was dying. As if obvious God then appeared in front of me. That God said:

“Just this once, I will make one of your wishes come true.”

After being troubled about what to ask, I decided.

“I wish to have unlimited wishes.”

Damn. Just damn.

I'm seriously impressed by this short novel.

It only has two chapters with moderate length, so don't expect any world-changing masterpiece, but damn, that was a nice twist.

I won't say anything, since the story is short enough to read in about five minutes but the translator was telling the truth when he said I wouldn't be dissapointed.

Alright here is my first ever review on this website. All I can say is there is a major moral for this tale. Its a quick 5 minute read, but if anyone out there is every smashed by Truck-kun and end up with an omnipotent being offering a wish, please heed this story. It may serve you good.

Good story with decent twist BUT, why don't the MC just ask to limit the number of wishes to a certain number? That would cancel the original wish while still give him plenty of option.

Can't outplay god, huh? Dang, that was harsh.

This novel is incredibly short, one may even call it a oneshot, yet it was entertaining. You won't even need 5 minutes to read this and it's definitely worth your time, since the ending adds a spicy twist.

When I first saw the description, my first thought was "How are you going to make a good story out of this?" then after a few moments, I said "f*ck it. I'm reading it."

And now that I finished it. Damn. It hit me hard. So hard that I might be sent to a different world. In just two chapters, this story amazed me. This story has one particular subject: greed is not good. Don't cheat your way out of situations.

For just 2 chapters, I grant this story 5 stars

The story is incredibly short. Read it and come back it will only take a minute. The only reason I'm writing this critique is to give a diffirent perspective to the other 5 star reviews. On a story that left me rather unimpressed.

Spoiler

Ore no Negai wa reminds me of 2 sentence horror stories. A very quick set up and pay off. Only in this case not horror but a moral of 'Greed is Bad' written out into a charming short story.

The problem however is that it fails to deliver that message. You are left thinking not 'Greed is Bad' but if granted a wish think carefully and ask questions. The entire premise could have been avoided by a much more cleverly worded wish or for Ch2 simply asking for 100 or 1000 wishes instead.

Ch1 leaves the moral of the story to be 'Don't be greedy you will live a perfectly happy and normal life'

Ch2 leaves you wondering why he can't somehow get out of the situation with another wish (I wish to have no more wishes, to leave. To recreate the world here..). But that isn't even attempted. The only way the situation works is if the follow up wishes will only be granted after he leaves a stipulation that isn't mentioned.

You might say the author didn't for there to be a moral to the story he/she simply wanted to write a short and sweet story. And that's fine it just left me with no impact.

It's like a visual novel- same start, yet two different endings.

Chapter 1 is nice, funny and kinda sweet route.

Chapter 2 is dark, brutal and cruel route.

Both have the same moral where the MC is punished for his greed. The first chapter is a slightly funny punishment. Chapter 2 was the worst punishment I can ever imagine.

Worth a read.
