Wu Han Ying does not know why a bunch of people were following him around shouting sister-in-law.

Xia Chen does not know why he begins to like the existence of this obedient Little Wudang, who is sometimes a bit silly as well.

Being followed and being called Sister-in-law, Little Wudang could not stand it anymore and retorted, “I’m a man.”

Lao Da (Boss) confessed, Sister-in-law (Sao Zi) ran away, so Lao Da is going crazy.

Guild Member 1: Sister-in-law, please come back, Lao Da doesn’t mind that you’re a ladyboy! (ladyboy – a male that plays a female character in game)

Guild Member 2: Pei Pei Pei, ladyboy your ass! Dare to call my sister-in-law as ladyboy, come to Yan Nan* (A place’s name, where players use for PVP)

Guild Members: …

Little Wudang thought to himself, you can’t blame me for disappearing, it’s because the school internet got disconnected.

Story is okay. A slow burn fluffy romance with a bit of angst and with a gaming side. CPs interactions are so fluffy and so cute. I was just taken aback when they suddenly got together. The real life interaction build up isn't much so it looks rushed for me. But I appreciate the translators effort in explaining the game terms.

I love the gaming part, I love games so I can relate. And both MCs are interesting. But the transition from virtual life to real life is a bit missing. It seems like Xia Chen fell in love without rhyme or reason. It was not even love at first sight, when he discovered Xiao Wu's identity. And he did not have any feelings for Xiao Wu when they met coincidentally several times in real life. Very puzzling! I wanted to learn more about their real life, more about how they... more>> fell in love, and more about the friends and the little nephew, and more about Xia Chen's past and why he is a professor.

It was still a good read, just wanted more, much more <<less

Super cute!! The pacing is consistent, but somehow their relationship picked up soo quickly near the end??

That's probably my biggest complaint. I'm pretty sure MC was straight, but he got into a relationship with ML like it was nbd and then even marriage was nbd??? If you think about it, it was less than a year since they met, and a lot of that time they were playing the game!!

Spoiler

Especially since Xia Chen is the professor; MC is still his student!! That's definitely not okay......

[collapse]

Speaking of the game, seriously it was a super big part of the story lol so readers, prepare yourselves. Tbh I still don't really understand why ML liked MC so much, there was really no reason for it but sheer coincidence that it all happened.

Also it felt kinda unnecessary to make ML a prof, like he's a prof and he started his own super successful company??? At the same time??? He's not even teaching anything mildly related to his business profession; he's teaching Ancient Chinese Literature or something!!! Kinda absurd lol

Overall still a pleasant story though. Basically no PG-15+ at all. <<less

One of the sweetest novels I have ever read! The ending left me wanting for more..... and I keep going back to re-read whenever I cannot find anything interesting. A thumbs up to author and the translator.

I love the story. I love the interaction between the ML and the MC. It was so pure cheesy and fluff. There is not much drama going on. I repeat, it is just pure cute romance. I kinda admit I still want more. It made me reread it again

This hit the spot! It's sweet, funny and romantic. The story was pure and enjoyable. The gaming references caught my attention but it didn't take away my interest from the characters or the story itself. The pace was good and the development was superb. This is the type of story that you want to finish in one sitting. Even though most of 'real' action happened by the end, the story never lacked the bait to make your heart beat faster as it progressed. To be honest it felt too short,... more>> I wanted to see more. I felt like we were just at the good part. But then again, stories like this don't need many twists and turns to get you hooked.",) <<less

The uke is really cute and the seme is so caring *-*

The gaming thing is a huge ++ (I love games xD) and the author really take the time to develop their relationship, oh my, the teacher is so hot HA HA HA ! The declaration scene is so sweet, I was litteraly melting >//<

And the side characters are all really funny and lovable.

Fluffy and light read. Definitely recommend!! I'm not a very good reviewer but reading others reviews, you'll know what you need to know. Translator did a good job in explaining stuff you need to know to understand the lingo so that's a bonus.

A quick gem for when you just want some peace and quiet. I read this after the very meta and emotional TRAP, then the more fluffy and slightly meta FOD, and now the calm and simplicity of 59 was a welcome gift.

In many ways, 59 is just so relatable. WHY is a college student, like me rn, and perfectly encapsulates all of the laziness and responsibilities of being a college student, but still whiling away your time on a video game. Even though I can't imagine having a lights-out time... more>> in college (what would all the all-nighters do then), the wifi woes (tho definitely exaggerated), the need to spend money for food, the regularly skipping class, and the nerve-wracking search for work is immensely relevant. I love the the story goes into those small, realistic details, which helps to ground the story even more.

The romance comes late in the story, though there were plenty of ambiguous hints throughout the story. The entire story is mellow—not much relationship drama, light-hearted and supportive friendship, and of course the romance. WHY's family is the only extremely irritating presence in the novel, and I wish that the HEA could have been longer to detail how the ML dealt with them and just more of their fluffiness. Once they really fall in love, the interactions between WHY and XC are just plain adorable. Ultimately, of all of the books I've read, this novel is probably the one closest to reality, which is what makes it so satisfying. Plus, as a fan of the King's Avatar, the video game aspect wasn't all that bad either. A wonderful choice to calm and cleanse your emotions. <<less

Short but sweet story. I want more of them :)

The conflict isn't really that obvious and gets resolve pretty quick by the ML. No real struggle. I wish the story is ended with them settled in their new house and a short sentence about the MC's aunt after he reclaim his inheritance, did xia chen stayed at the uni or he helped xiao wu in their company.. I'm fine with the ending, it's just that I wish there was a bit more.

I enjoyed reading it and I will definitely... more>> recommend it to my friends to read. <<less

This is literally Wei Wei Yi Xiao! Gaming, to real life romance! The games are also similar, the only difference between wei wei yi xiao and ai ni 59 miao is that the former is hetero romance while the latter is yaoi, but both are just as sweet

The story was super sweet but focused a bit too on the gaming aspect. The ending felt far too rushed in comparison to the build up portion of the novel.

Spoiler

the 3-4 weeks it took the characters to fall in love with each other took up over 80% of the novel while the two years spent to deal with real world problems (meeting the parents, getting accepted, graduating from college, training to take over ML's company, dealing with the MC's neglectful/greedy aunt & uncle) all occurred in the span of two chapters

[collapse]

Not a bad read but definitely would have given this 5 stars if the end had been fleshed out a little more. <<less

At first I had a really hard time keeping up with the story. I have played online games before but I still got lost some times. Not to mention it was really hard remembering who’s who. Not only do they have real life names, theres also the in game character names and their nicknames. I ended up writting a list with people to figure out who’s who. I also sometimes didn’t understand what had happened. That however was usually solved by reading the translation notes, people’s comments or by reading... more>> the next chapter.

Even though things were sometimes hard to understand, I usually ended up sitting with a huge grin on my face. The story made me laugh (a lot and very loud) and cry. I read all the chapters in one go and my jaws are still sore from laughing.

I’m definitive going to read this novel again. <<less

This novel is flufiness all over, something you would want to read to fill your fluff thirst. The gaming part may be kinda dragging especially to those who don't play on line games, but the game involved has actually been integrated well by the author. The ML definitely stole the spotlight by being the most unpredictable, while the MC, while not entirely badly written and at times relatable, could have been better.
Spoiler

Some parts of the story tho, came out abrupt and ridiculous at a certain point.

The story is nice and enjoyable. I like Xiao Wu really much, he's very cute.

But the problem is there's not much happening in the story at all. There's no turning point or whatsoever.
Spoiler

Although there's a love rival, she didn't really do anything to the point that her presence in the story equal the air.

[collapse]

So i'd recommend this if you just wanna read something fluffy and fun to kill sometime.

A fun BL novel to read. Nothing groundbreaking in terms of character development for any character, with side characters suffering from being not fully developed (although still fun and mostly recognizable). Romance takes a backseat to character interactions and humour but when it does settle in, it's a sweet and pleasant romance. Despite Xiao Wu being a bit of a Tsun, you can tell he really does love the ML.

A pleasant love story with funny interactions between characters and a slight dash of nostalgia about the carefree university days.

Although I gave it 4 stars I would not put it on my reread list. The gaming description read the first time is fine, but at a reread would feel super tedious.

Sweet story. I found myself grinning from ear to ear throughout. The feeling it gave me reminded me a little bit of Ichikawa Kei mangas. The two main leads fit together well and I really enjoyed their journey. The characterization and interaction really helped to bring them to life. Supporting characters also added contrast and interest to the story... more>> instead of just being static. Good plotline albeit a bit rushed at the end. Main complaint would be the numerous names each character had as it was a bit to keep straight.

In essence it's a romance that slowly builds between two characters as they go about their lives. The romance is very believable as it is based on small gestures and actions that accumulate over time eventually leading to a direct confession. It was good, definitely recommend. <<less

Really floofy! One of the novels that pulled me into the danmei world. I like how it's a healthy mix of in-game and real-life. I recommend it for light-reading. It isn't perfect (but I'll still rate it five since I really liked it despite the flaws). The shou/uke can be a bit spoiled, especially at the later parts. However, it's tolerable. Anyways, I'll just warn you that it's not really one of those heavy BL stories where there's a lot of face-slapping, plotting, drama, etc. It's light, remember. So it's... more>> charm lies within the overall fluffy mood it has. <<less
