Wu Han Ying does not know why a bunch of people were following him around shouting sister-in-law.

Xia Chen does not know why he begins to like the existence of this obedient Little Wudang, who is sometimes a bit silly as well.

Being followed and being called Sister-in-law, Little Wudang could not stand it anymore and retorted, “I’m a man.”

Lao Da (Boss) confessed, Sister-in-law (Sao Zi) ran away, so Lao Da is going crazy.

Guild Member 1: Sister-in-law, please come back, Lao Da doesn’t mind that you’re a ladyboy! (ladyboy – a male that plays a female character in game)

Guild Member 2: Pei Pei Pei, ladyboy your ass! Dare to call my sister-in-law as ladyboy, come to Yan Nan* (A place’s name, where players use for PVP)

Guild Members: …

Little Wudang thought to himself, you can’t blame me for disappearing, it’s because the school internet got disconnected.

This is a slow burn novel and the romance isn't really noticeable because it's still showing how characters interact with each other. The comedy is in how these characters interact with each other in game and in real life much in the same way we interact with our online friends and real life friends, where we do dumb harmless funny shit, teasing each other and grumbling about acads and life shit.

I could definitely say that the writing of the character's relationship and interactions with each other is realistic especially in... more>> gaming. The beauty of this novel is that it takes its time to build-up the romance, and showing us bits and pieces of the world the characters revolve in. They have their flaws but it adds on to the charm since it's realistic. The realism in this novel is handled well, it shows us how people actually communicate and interact in MMOs.

Reading this novel reminded me of my gaming days during RO's Era. It reminded me of the days I chatted with my guild mates, grinded to raise my levels and participating in WoEs and PvP matches. You may not like YAOI but I implore you to give this a chance since the author handles its characters with care and treats the story nicely.

Love You 59 Seconds is recommended for people looking for MMORPG romances, into homoromantic stories, and slow burn development. <<less

The story's fine... its funny and stuff. quite different in the game focus, although a bit unrealistic in the way the seme is so OP is everything.

Other than that, I realized these uke-seme type stories are not my cup of tea. meh....

Spoiler

i mean I really can't understand a guy who feels faint from a crowd and needs to hold someone's hand to not get lost in a zoo. I mean you're a freaking university student for crying out loud!! really bro??

[collapse]

Also these chinese romance stories are seriously one-sided.... like one person's job is to take care of everything, the other person's job is to look and act cute and get taken advantage of. <<less

Have you read a slight smile is very charming?

The two novels share pretty much the same setting - love comedy revolve around online game (which is not a virtual world style - you still play trough your customized avatar and use KB and stuffs.)

But this one is a BL and the relationship between them are super fluffy~~~

And this novel did real good job for the game elements. TBH the game elements are super heavy it might make some who haven't had much experience in game confused. However the translator... more>> try her best to explained each system and slang used in the novel.

I especially love the comment section. Lol <<less

I have to say, the reviews kinda put me off and I started the novel with no expectations what so ever and I advise you to do the same because this novel is amazing!! Do not expect anything profound or character developement or drama but just read it for the sake of entertainment.

This novel makes you feel happy and warm and before you know it, you're immersed in the story and funny characters. I love the translator's explanations too, given that the game is an actual game and I've played... more>> it before!

Wu Han Ying is just an adorable little bun and the ML spoils him too much. If you're ever feeling down or need something sweet in your lifee this is the book to read ^_^

The scenes in here are realistic too given that if you play games. Especially the lag WHY experienced... how awful lag is when playing games XD

Spoiler

Someof the reviews say they don't get why the ML "fell" (I say this because where I am, he is still not in love with the MC but is interested and considers the MC a love interest) for the MC but as a gamer I sort of understand. In games when you're rich or have fame people get close to you and bug you for items or want benefits. Seeing as the people around him are all the rowdy type and there are even some characters who shamelessly beg for rare cash items, the MC was a breathe of fresh air. He didn't stick to the ML and didnt start begging for things. Instead the ML had to be the one to reach out and even when the MC knew how rich the ML was, that never made him change his attitude or voluntarily bug the ML for things. All of it was the ML onesidedly gave the other. And the MC always followed the ml's orders and was quiet in a sweet way. WHY is just so innocent and sweet lol. If you read the story, you'd fall for him.

MC is just an average joe but for the ML he’s adorable.

But imo, he’s too bland. Actually, all characters are. They’re too 2D.

With the MC being ditzy and “adorably obedient” (according to the ML) ; while the ML is your typical dependable invincible black bellied man; and of course, unconditionally loyal friends.

... more>> MC’s bad at gaming? No problem, have this character from a friend and let the ML and his friends carry him up.

MC’s being wronged? No problem, ML and his friends will avenge him.

Rival says to divorce ML? And he f****ing does so? No problem, ML will deal with it.

MC’s inheritance was taken? No problem, ML will solve it for him.

Basically, throughout the novel, all MC does is feign ignorance to attackers, obediently follow ML and let him carry him up.

I honestly think that it may have been more interesting if it was about the ML’s perspective instead. The novel’s named after him already anyway. <<less

if you google the title, you will most likely find it on wp. A fan saved the translations before they been taken down.

1. If you don’t have any interest in MMO games, don’t read it. You will have issues to follow it. I played almost similar game and can relate more easily. Confirm whatever they did there, is possible

2. 20 chapters in the middle been unnecessary....

3. The MC didn’t impress me much. In short... he is average, bad at gaming, bad at driving, clumsy, average in school, naive... and his... more>> humor moments could be count on 2 fingers. So overall I had a feeling that he was incompetent.

4. I never saw both of them flirting.... or show any other romantic human feelings (between the MC and the “lover”)... suddenly there was a love declaration and my face went full mode into “well that escalated quickly”. Zero character development for 50 chapters and suddenly that...

The only reason I didn’t give the book 2 stars is because I actually finished it but yet I didn’t like neither of the characters. Couldn’t feel any sympathy for any of them... <<less

While yes, this novel may be a bit bland for some people with its lack of conflict, but the novel is intended to be light and fluffy. It nails everything it set out to do, and for accomplishing its goal, I give it five stars. However, in my opinion, the plot started out at a very good pace, and then suddenly everything escalated and the plot flew along like a roller coaster with jet-packs on steroids. It also had quite a bit of unbelievable scenes that made me want to... more>> shoot the part of me that continuously rings the "suspension of disbelief" alarm.

The greatest selling point of this novel would be the nostalgia it gives. Who else played games in college while ignoring their homework and worrying about their budget? I also met someone who I eventually married online (online only), and this story made me smile fondly in remembrance of the time I ran into the wall because of a bug and my future husband rescued me LOL.

This side characters all had their own personalities, but they were a bit lacking in depth. They only supporting the main couple on their journey together, not interacting past that. It was a bit like a cliche Korean movie in some aspects.

Spoiler

What with the fiance and the father doesn't approve subplots

[collapse]

Overall it was completely satisfying. I feel like it's the kind of thing I would read ever once in a while out of nostalgia on a cold winter day. <<less

Pure fluff! Not a bad thing if you’re looking for it, it’s a sweet and optimistic story that is tad heavy on the mmorpg side but I don’t think complete gamer knowledge is necessary for reading this story. Translator does try and help give info on the mmorpg side as well.

Plot wise, it’s very very optimistic and happy. It mostly hinges on MC being a very obedient and unannoying newbie and the ML willing to help because of it. While there is conflict (MC family, a fiancée, drama in-game) it’s... more>> nothing too exciting that it throws off the relaxing light hearted vibe it started with and most of the conflicts are either resolved off screen or forgotten. The most heart pounding moment would honestly be the confession scene.

Characterization wise, it’s nothing too exciting. MC’s your typical college kid, hardworking but sort of neglected/mistreated by his family. He’s hilariously bad at the mmorpg that they meet in. ML’s job is kinda spoiler so I won’t say it, but background wise it’s kinda your typical ice cold but good looking CEO from a rich family ordeal. They mesh well together however, and the overall result is a candy sweet couple.

Overall, it’s good and if you like sweet stories with not much conflict, you’d like this one. <<less

Very cute read. MC is an innocent student so every interaction with ML is meng. Its a slow romance but the kind that makes you eager for more. Theres also a little bun for added fluffiness. Its pretty obvious from the title and summary that the relationship started off with a game so theres quite a bit of gameplay and jargon. Big ups to the translator for adding in some context to the gameplay parts.

Aww, this was sweet.

This was basically Cinderella story but in BL verse with online gaming theme. The story is simple and sweet and likable. The 1st half of the story focus on the gaming while the 2nd half in the Romance.... with more fluff.

This story can be a bit boring for others because it very bland..... with no faceslapping or drama, but for me it was a very pleasant and relaxing.

The domineering, Cold, expressionless Professor X The cute, Naive, innocent College Student. I love this CP.

Honestly it's a bit sad that there was no faceslapping because some people deserve it.
Spoiler

I seriously think MC cousin Ning girl, deserve a slap..... atleast once. So what if she's a 8 year old kid, that doesn't mean she has the right to treat the way she treated MC. She scratch MC, threw his Phone on toilet, snatch MC things without his permission, does whatever she like with MC, doesn't even let MC eat peacefully and Lastly but not least, she told MC to get out..... that b*tch

[collapse]

Overall, this novel was a very relaxing and a break from all the dog blood drama novel.

The only thing regrettable is not knowing why ML name was "Love you 59 second". I mean like why?? What does it mean?

Lastly thanks to the translator for translating this novel.

I read this @ wattpad cause it seems the original translator’s site already went down on wordpress. So you can check this out at wattpad if you want to read the translation.

For the plot it’s very simple. We have a very ordinary average joe MC. Perhaps the only highlight on him is his personality. Every good thing that happened to the MC seemed to happen by chance ... more>>
Spoiler

ML happen to pk someone near the MC while MC is doing some low level quest shit. ML seems to be bored as fck and got nothing to do so he helps MC finish his little quest. ML basically follows MC at that point for no apparent reason that the novel presented and we can only think that the ML is just bored AF and he may very well act the same way towards any chara that isn’t annoying. ML happen to be in his rebellion period. Left home cause he doesn’t want to be controlled by parents. Went to a college/uni to teach. No particular reason presented in the novel as to why, I guess ML just wanna waste his spoiled ass life? Idk. Back to MC, MC happens to ran into ML, ML’s nephew and low and behold ML’s nephew likes him at first sight. Also MC runs into ML’s nephew unattended in some back-water street that MC happens to be walking in to get home. ML apparently lives close by, no apparent reason as to why though, it’s all a lucky coincident.

[collapse]

This is all some nonesense fluff. But fluff nonetheless. There’s a bit of angst but doesn’t really influence the story. Overall I rated it at 3, since the plot progression isn’t really well thought out nor expounded well enough. The characters just doesn’t feel alive, specially the ML. For me, if I was in the MC’s place, I wouldn’t feel secured about all the goodwill he’s showing. He barely knows me, but transfers me his life’s work anyway. He’s my teacher but he brings me home and let’s me sleep in his bed lol. I scream pe*vert in my head. Anyway just my two cents. <<less

Fast read the gaming scenes, which is more than half the novel, and you'll find it to be a cute and fluffy romance. It is slightly similar to A slight smile is very charming, but not very much so. Definitely a good read for passing time.

First I know the story from wattpad actually. Then I saw someone mentioned this story in NU and here I am. I like the story. I like everything that related to games novel regardless it is mxm or a normal one. Really hope the translation is updating fast. It has a bit similarity with "A Slight Smile.." but I cannot say so yet because of the story still around or in the game. The MC and ML not really meet/know each other yet (even they both are close actually.. Really2... more>> close). I feel the MC is quite dumb a bit in a sense of dumb+cute?? Dunno.. Haha..
Overall until the last chapter I read, the story is fun. <<less

3.5 but rounded up. Cute novel that can be read quickly. Not much drama.

I can understand why some reviewers didn't like the guild chat spam, but I didn't mind it. It's probably because I like gaming novels with MMORPG elements as it makes me nostalgic for when I played in early 2000s. I get bored with overly detailed esport novels, so it's all up to taste.

I also agree with some others that the story isn't flushed out well. Reads more like a beginning draft with some parts only outlined. Also... more>> felt the ended was kind of rushed.

This is my second time reading it, I followed along when the translator first posted but came across it again and thought why not. Still entertaining the 2nd time around. <<less

Tl;dr: This is the adorable story of a rich ML that spoils their cute MC both in and out of the game. Also, great translation team with high quality translation that will teach you a lot lol

Let's start with the premise. Our MC is a pretty standard college student who lives with his roomates and is eventually convinced by them to join a game. He sucks at said game, and some random high level player decides to take him under his wing. And so begins decently paced (according to chapters... more>> but I'll get back to that...) romantic shenanigans featuring a guild of shippers.

This is absolutely adorable. I loved every minute of seeing our main couple interact and mess around with each other. It had me making that sound you make when something is unbearably adorable and you need to verbalize it multiple times. The plot is pretty nonexistent with most of it being the main couple just getting together and a kinda rushed ending but it doesn't really hurt the enjoyment.

But I did take off a star and it's for a pretty good reason: the timeline is way too rushed! You'd read like 20 chapters, coo at how adorable it is and then the author will be like "yeah it's only been this amount of time". Like what do you mean it's only been that long?? It felt longer??? I mean, it's only mentioned once so it's not too bad. Also I can't really figure out how they fell in love but I'll let that slide for the cuteness.

Anyways, let's talk about why you should read this. If you're looking for a short fluff piece that is great at capturing the atmosphere of what's being described (from college dorm life, to the guild atmosphere, this author really is great at putting you into the moment) paired with a brilliant translation team that WILL make sure you understand every obscure thing, this one is a cute short story that just makes you feel good and happy for the couple. The author knows what type of novel this is and sticks with that simplicity.

(So I'm sure I should be mentioning that there's a lot of gaming jargon but I enjoyed it so... soft warning for lots of gaming going on?) <<less

I haven't gotten very far in this but I already don't like it. The sentences don't flow the way I'd like them to and the characters aren't 3 dimensional at all. I don't like the way they interact or hire the author refers to them. The MC is male with a female character and while I understand how it could be confusing, the pronouns keep jumping around. It's like the author can't remember the gender at all.

Starts out a bit boring, but gets really funny and cute at the end.

Characters and moments can get confusing, but the plot isn't difficult to follow.

MC and ML are cute together. MC isn't absolutely passive like other MCs. The romance progresses well.

Initially felt kinda meh towards it, but at the end I was smiling really hard.

Fluffy, adorable, sweet, cute, squeal inducing.. You name it. I enjoy this novel very much for its funny characters. Nothing too serious and a happy ending. It is suitable for light reading for those who are stressed and in need for a happy time or cooldown time from angsty novel. A Lot of online game activities (I think I am an online game expert now???) here. So if you just look for some romantic and smutty action, this may not be your cup of tea.
