This story is similar to Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil, so I can't help but compare the two.

Even though it's similar, QWFD is more comprehensive and detailed. This story however, is quite inferior and contains unnecessary details. Like, MC asked ML if what is the plant he saw called when they were at an island. The ML replied that he doesn't know and the MC laughed at him. Later on, the so called "plant" was forgotten. I don't even know the purpose of the author writing this statement.

Also,... more>> unlike QWFD, the MC tends to not experience any challenges. It's like the world loves him so much that sometimes he just needs to sit down and the people who tried to harm him would experience retribution on its own. He just needs to find the ML and have s*x with him etc, and the ML would all do the revenge thing. It makes his character more like a mob character or a passerby. Sometimes the revenge comes so fast because the MC and ML is so powerful so the latter part would be filled with I need to make this story longer so I'll add details that is unnecessary to show how much ML love the MC so much.

For someone who read a lot of countless BL stories, this novel was quite a headache in some areas. Sometimes, I want to drop this but I have a habit of finishing stories, hoping it would improve at the end. sigh...

Enough with the negatives! What I love about this story is the ML!!! It's similar to QWFD, where the ML is the typical possessive, doggy-type, devoted husband. Also, he tends to find the MC first so you don't need to guess who the ML is. That's why I told you this story is boring.

MC, is the typical OP protagonist. Unless he is the ML, no one can beat him.

Also, some of the characters are very blank. They would appear in the story but you won't feel anything. Like the author just put them in there for the sake the MC would have something to deal with.

sigh... This story is not that bad but not that good either. There are a lot of improvements that the author should partake.

If you have nothing else to read, then read this. <<less

I'd put this one into below 'average' group. Why:

    • I don't care that each arc is quite long, it's good to have few events to be interesting, but it is ruined by OP-ness of both MC and ML. Sometimes I love OP-ness, when MC is portrayed as a really cool and charming character, but other times OP-ness, like in this novel, simply makes events not even worth it. The original trajectory goes into the safe/boring zone and it makes the original drama disappear (e.g. in first arc MC is taken away right away and he's almost like a background to the story, in second arc he prevents his lover to be involved with others off the bat and prevents many things before they happen, in third arc he escapes the evil plans right away too), which makes the thrill gone. Even MC and ML though having lots of place feel like side-characters. And thus the chapters keep on going about... nothing in particular. So the reading turns into a long and tedious process.
    • I actually MTL this one (it's pretty understandable) and after re-reading second arc I realized why I stopped. I really don't like this ML, he's the type that like only MC and is hostile to everyone else, when he falls in love he thinks only how to drop everything and just escape (despite being in a very high position), it feels irresponsible. Next he's the type who is jealous of everyone like wtf no, wants to inprison MC. I mean... how about NO. These type of MLs don't care about individuality of their beloved, they don't care about their interests, they come across as obsessed maniacs. I don't really like the MC at this point either, but what dicreased my interest is connected to their child (I don't care if it will come as a spoiler). This novel describes all the things I hate when it comes to kids in BL novels. First of all, MC is glad that they can breed a child in incubator and he doesn't need to be pregnant like a woman, which is meh. I prefer MCs who love their kids and don't shy away from them and never treat kids as obstacle. Secondly they use the kid simply to be a successor so they can take a shortcut and just enjoy themselves, leaving the kid dealing with all the sh*t at young age, which is effing selfish and lacks any love. I know that there were short bits f showing love, but it really came across weirdly. Especially when ML at times thinks of their child as a third wheel, I prefer MLs who love their children, because they understand it's part of them both (for example, ML from "The correct way of face-slapping in transmigration" dearly loved a kid, who in the arc story was an orphan, while in reality he had soul of his son from previous world or look at ML+MC from "Turn on the love system" who had lots of kids almost each arc and none is treated as coldly or ML from "Genral loves to collect red flowers" how happy he was when they got triplets, he treated his children as treasures)
Hundred ways to become a god. What a pathetic joke. Being OP and then relying on ML and lazying around like who wants that? Is that thrilling? I say 'NO'. I'm pretty sure with continuing reading I will have things to add, but so far, this is what few arcs made me think about it, think about dropping it for good.

PS: What is this pathalogical need to compare any quick wear to FOD? FOD isn't a gold standard, on the contrary, it's over-praised average pile of blop pfft lol.

Read it fully if you like quickly wear the face of the devil you will definitely want to give this one a try. Although some seems are a bit long winded and unnecessary it is great overall. Worse then quickly wear the face of the devil but similar in story styles

Boring. The arc was so long. I mean, the MC and ML met in the first chapter. The ML fell in love at first sight. Insisted on moving the MC to live with him. They practically don’t have any worthy opponents, yet the arc dragged on and on for 24 chapters (and probably there will be more?)...

Another great fast wear story. I would rank this close to if not equal to FOD, and I feel like it's also almost closer to slow wear? Each arc is much longer, around 25 chapters or so, which is like 2 arcs in those usual fast wear stories. I quite enjoyed it, especially since it wasn't as fast-paced by squeezing an entire plot into like 10 chapters, so there was more to focus on the romance between the MC and ML, though still less smut. Sad. But yeah, I liked... more>> that the MC and ML are always able to find each other pretty quickly, and even though I definitely liked certain arcs better than others, and I would have preferred if there were more arcs where the MC face slaps people and shows off his talents, the change of pace is still pretty nice. The ML is as usual, adorable, and the MC is pretty great and indulging as well. Gotta say I'm still pretty confused about what exactly the ML is in the reality arc, but it doesn't really matter. Recommend. <<less

Good but not great. There was nothing bad but there was nothing that felt fresh, either. The MC was inoffensive and the ML was the possessive loyal puppy dog type. Dogs aren't my thing so take it as you will. The story had the usual worlds I dislike (abo, court politics) and a few I thought were interesting, like the one with the ghosts. It has all the usual except for the zombie apocalypse (either it didn't have or it was so bland I don't remember it at all) this... more>> is another novel that I feel is better than just OK but not good enough to be four stars. It should be 3.5 <<less

This is a good QT to read but not on par with FOD, please do not compare, thanks. While it's interesting to read, it couldn't quite hook me to keep reading. The romance starts off very unbalanced, at least for me.

Spoiler

Except for first arc, it always starts with ML doing something 18+ or something "terrible" towards MC and then doing everything to make up for it because of his guilty conscience. MC would let him do it cause he recognised ML but ML was always feeling guilty. Yeah, there's love later, but almost every arc I read started that way which I felt was unbalanced.

[collapse]

I guess that's the part that turned me off.

MC and ML are both very OP, for which I wouldn't blame them cause MC was a admiral so he must have the brains.

It's good if you want to read a smooth sailing novel without too many ups and downs and don't mind MC ML dynamics. I can read it once but Idk if I'll read it again. <<less

Issues with Adblock, but overall I love this story.

It just appeals to me so much that I had to leave a review.

In my honest opinion, I have read worse QT stories. This is my guilty pleasure.

... more>> Readers should stop comparing every other BL QT to Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil. That's a QT in a league of its own. Comparing other stories is just walking a path of unhappiness.

BTW if you're having issues accessing the site because of too many ads, try brave browser, other adblocking software seems to be detected. <<less

Okkish, run-of-the-mill routine stories, not much of intrigue/drama etc. Both MC and ML are always OP, MC is always dainty and ML is always super cold to everyone but MC. Much emphasis is on the 'sweet' MC-ML life, and revenge etc happens in the background or mentioned as an after thought...

Honestly if there was a tag called "Fleshlight Protagonist" and this story would be one of the ones that get it.

That is to say, you could probably replace the MC with a fleshlight and the story wouldn't change much. Granted, maybe this changes later? Idk? But so far, MC exists and emotionally manipulates ML and... oh he eats, so I guess this gets the "Gluttonous Protagonist" tag as well.

It's longer and more detailed than some other quick transmigration novels for sure but I'm not really bothered by the "slow" pacing since I think some quick transmigration novels are actually too fast (like I'm reading a summary instead) so this was a nice change.

terrible, terrible everything.

quick transmigration stories are only interesting when they have good protagonists. This story? Its protagonist is bland. So bland, so boring it literally becomes a chore to read about.

in every single arc, the MC doesn't care about anything but his lover. He never has a career, he never works hard for anything. He is just there, being spoiled by the ml, who falls in love with MC at first sight.

the MC eats and sleeps for all 154 chapters I have read so far. I kept going, because obviously... more>> it HAD to get better, right? But it doesn't!

what makes me angry is that it COULD be good, if only the protagonist cared. But he does not. He doesn't care about anything at all, so the plot, the worlds, all other characters fall flat.

arcs:

first arc: modern world (sickly young master MC x domineering family patriarch ml) — age gap, MC was a minor when they met. ML fell in love at first sight. They are uncle and nephew, not related as ML is adopted.

second arc: abo intellestelar (spoiled young noble omega MC x tyrant emperor alpha ml).

third arc: ancient world (beautiful young marquis MC x big, rough mean-faced emperor's general brother ml).

fourth arc: modern world with metaphysics (poor college student MC x director of the ghost prison division of the underworld ml).

fifth arc: fantasy world (human holy saint MC x leader of paladins blood elf ml).

sixth arc: modern world, entertainment industry (kept 18th-line actor MC x rich powerful ceo ml).

seventh world: cultivation world (fox demon shizun MC x demon cultivator disciple ml) — both of them are hiding their identities, as they live in an orthodox sect.

eighth world: back to reality, intellestelar world (general MC x

Spoiler

system ml)

[collapse]

age gap in almost every arc, ML being older. ML is the cold, jealous type, but he is also really insecure, so that's new? MC is lazy, only likes to eat. A lot of dubious consent, too, since ML is "so in love" with MC that he literally can't stop himself and has to have him, has to make MC his.

all arcs are long and boring. Too long but nothing substantial really happens. I'm dropping this.

not recommended at all! <<less

I really enjoy reading this and can only recommend it. BUT be careful, since it’s addicting.

It’s a light reading experience and pretty funny. Also I like how the MC doesn’t give a f*ck and faces everything suuuper chill, but is also mischievous. I like his personality.

I get a bit annoyed at the fact that the MC always ends up in a “inferoir” body up until now even though he was some kind of supreme commander in his first life. But in the omegaverse arc he is still kinda OP and... more>> not so reliant as he was in the first arc, so it’s not that important since I enjoy reading it anyway.

The novel also has a pretty fast pace. <<less

I loved this novel. Mtl'd it and it was completely worth it. Most fast wears are just that, fast; but, this was fleshed out... and while the MC was OP, it wasnt to the point where you would get bored.... with fast wear mtl, you can burn out but this had me going to the end. And it even explained what happened to make the transmigrations happen... this was an epic read!!

I may be bias but I feel that this story is kinda boring. It's because they both always met so fast, ML and MC always have a high position or a high birth, whichever. Anyway the thing is that this story lack some spice and drama imo. So I'd stop here and maybe continue it someday.

It's mostly romance with QT & face slapping thrown in.

An easy ride for our MC&ML, without any aspects even appearing to be remotely threatening so far.

Threats are nipped before even budding so u don't really get to read abt elaborate schemes, but just what was planned & failed, and how the schemers suffer.

Pretty sure it's gonna continue too.

As long as u don't mind that, it's an enjoyable read.
