Description
Links are NOT allowed. Format your description nicely so people can easily read them. Please use proper spacing and paragraphs.Kim Dokja does not consider himself the protagonist of his own life. Befitting the name his parents gave him, he is a solitary person whose sole hobby is reading web novels. For over a decade, he has lived vicariously through Yu Junghyeok, the main character of the web novel Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse (TWSA).
Through Junghyeok, Dokja has experienced secondhand the trials of repeatedly regressing in time, in search of an end to life-threatening “scenarios” that force people to act out narratives for the amus**ent of god-like “Constellations.”
After reading 3,149 chapters—long after all other readers lost interest—Dokja finally resigns himself to the story ending. However, he receives an enigmatic message from the author, stating that the story will soon be monetized, before his surroundings suddenly go dark.
He swiftly realizes that fiction has become reality and he is now living through TWSA. Although he is the singular omniscient reader of the events yet to come, his success in the scenarios is not guaranteed—but perhaps his advantage will empower him to step into the protagonist role that never suited him before.

while reading 200th chapter I got spoiled about all this begin dream. I was honestly super disappointed and thought of dropping the series. But nevertheless the story kept me hooked so I continue. Later when things got clear I was surprised of how the authors have incorporated the dream element in the story. Rather then disappointed I was amused. I hadn't expected that kind of development. I thought it would be a simple long dream and if Dokja wakes up everything will be gone. I didn't think that he can basically live in the world and like his original body is inside the dream. So its unique haha
Even though he discovers the secret at later part of the story.. he kept denying until he saw him infront of his eyes. He had already discovered the fact that he himself is OD when he realized the world was extremely favorable to him. Dokja also knew the writer is most probably HSY after meeting her in 1863rd worldline. Now about why did he go to extent of dying everytime and not discussing his plan with his comrade. Simply because of probability/power system. Dokja will have to use up lot of probability in the explanation of the plan cause the info he will share is suspicious to star stream hence his action and speech will be limited. So until the time has not arrived he can't share certain info, it will either get filtered or will cost huge probability. Also about him taking over the place of OD is also part of his plan. If he didn't do this the world would collapse. Also he most probably knew wht he had to do because of Disconnected Film Theory with OD cause if you'll haven't realized yet but OD is 51% Dokja who lost his memories and his body shrinked. Hence he took the 49 51 decision, and the only way for this plan to be successful was by his soul being splitting in million and reincarnating. This way the worlds would survive along with him. Now problem arised when the 49% stopped working because star stream was destroyed. If this wouldn't have happened then there were chances of 49% regaining the memories by Disconnected Film Theory from the reincarnation of Dokja. Nevertheless even when Dokja plan failed due to 49% break down, Sooyoung's and Joonghyuk's decision of writing story and distributing it in different worldline brought back Dokja.
The one scene that everyone wish was written would just ruin the concept. Because previously alot of things were written about not getting conclusion. Dokja not getting to read or reach the conclusion and since Dokja represent us we are also suppose to feel wht Dokja feel right. Also the soul scattering and reincarnation got perfect role because of the open ending. It would have been weird if they just said that Dokja's soul reincarnate and dream for Dokja to come back and confirming Dokja coming back cause then "everyone have their own ending theme" would get be useless. Since the dream the reincarnates are dreaming might not be same as wht KimCom or Dokja wanted {all this is from story context} Another reason is just author trying to stating that we are Dokja and since all of our conclusions are different, we can decide on our own of wht type of ending we want. Whether we want him back or not. Or him remaining young or regaining his actual body size etc
Overall: 9.0/10
Story 8.5/10
Writing/Execution: 7.5/10
Worldbuilding: 10/10
Binge Value: 9.0/10
Uniqueness Value: 8.0/10 as a reader, ORV resonated with me a lot. it explores the possibility of a reader as a protagonist, not a conventional hero or an author. using this avenue, many issues and topics (previously untouched before by other similar novels) to be addressed were brought up in a thought-provoking way. I came in thinking that this was going to be a lame read (even putting this novel off for a FULL YEAR) but the last chapter left me in a conflicted mess of smiles and tears. my pillow hasn't been this damp in a long ass time.
it's an open-ending style epilogue/ending, so take that however you wish. personally, I'll interpret the last paragraph as a happy end.
like in the first scenario when he thought of the grasshopper method! the moment that scenario came out I was rolling my eyes thinking that it was gonna be some melodramatic ethics issue and the MC would have to sully his hands when he could just search for some bugs in the train (public transport, man) and squish them, when boom! MC has brain cells!
also, might I say that this novel does a wayyyy better job explaining concepts like world-hopping, timelines, and time travel than a fricking professional big name movie like Marvel's Endgame??? bruh moment.
