Kim Dokja does not consider himself the protagonist of his own life. Befitting the name his parents gave him, he is a solitary person whose sole hobby is reading web novels. For over a decade, he has lived vicariously through Yu Junghyeok, the main character of the web novel Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse (TWSA).

Through Junghyeok, Dokja has experienced secondhand the trials of repeatedly regressing in time, in search of an end to life-threatening “scenarios” that force people to act out narratives for the amus**ent of god-like “Constellations.”

After reading 3,149 chapters—long after all other readers lost interest—Dokja finally resigns himself to the story ending. However, he receives an enigmatic message from the author, stating that the story will soon be monetized, before his surroundings suddenly go dark.

He swiftly realizes that fiction has become reality and he is now living through TWSA. Although he is the singular omniscient reader of the events yet to come, his success in the scenarios is not guaranteed—but perhaps his advantage will empower him to step into the protagonist role that never suited him before.

It's been months since I read this novel, and I still love it. I'm writing this review for the sake of more people atleast reading this one novel I really love to the bottom of my heart. It's really great, if I talk about it any longer I might get deep into the novel and accidentally spoil stuff and blabber on. It's a really, really great novel. You won't regret reading it. The fact that the main character is 'Omniscient' just like what's written in the title won't disappoint. This... more>> story is about an 'Omniscient' reader that knows everything and I mean everything that will happen based on each choices he or the main character makes. He's read all of the regressions of the protagonist, therefore he knows the twists and turns of every turn and knows every single bit of detail. Don't complain that 'omg the main character knows too much so boring so cliche' bruh you came to this novel for that exact reason.

I love the plot, I love the characters, I love the development and the realistic view of this world. I love Kim Dokja. I am still heartbroken about the fact that the novel ended leaving us with so many questions unanswered. A cliffhanger that lasts forever. I love the uniqueness of each title, name, item, and even the idea of 'Constellations', 'Star', 'Scenario', 'Star stream', 'Streamer', 'Nebula', '--- Grade' and etc. I love everything except for the fact that our Main Character is suicidal which was funny at first but later on I also felt what his teammates felt.

In short, this is a really great novel. I only found this one day because I saw a drawing of a pretty boy with horns on his head which made my heart flutter but the tweet was Korean so I had to investigate and after 30 minutes of continuous google translating of each post related to that picture, I got a name and I then searched that name and I found the novel. Tadaah. I really recommend this novel. It has a webtoon already, and I'm glad that the webtoon doesn't disappoint, and etc.

Everything is perfect here. They weren't joking when the author describes Kim Dokja being Omniscient or Yoo Jonghyuk being a cold-hearted tsundere lmaooo, and Han Sooyoung being a real author not a plagiarist. Lolz. <<less

This novel has its specific readers. It's just as simple as that. If you are an 'end seeker' You'll get to understand everything in the end. Whatever seemed unreasonable decision in there, will get to make sense in the end.

This was amazing. One of my favourite web novels I've read yet. From the very first chapter (the webtoon) I was immersed and binged the existing drawn chapters. As soon as I caught up to that, I latched onto the WN. And I can safely say that I don't regret it in the slightest. Those hesitating or finding the first portions "dull", oh you're in for a ride. There is a reason all these completed reviews are mostly higher than the incomplete ones, this is a story that gets better... more>> as you read it and the last chapters (along with the epilogue) just further prove that. All I can say is that, keep reading. You won't regret it. <<less

I got to say that those who did not read pass the 100 chapters is wrong with their opinions.

This is a good novel and I strongly recommend everyone because of its interesting plot.

To understand the premises of this novel, you need to read it until the end because the plot will piece itself together after 300 chapters.

You just need patience to unravel the entire secrets and joy of the story.

The story and world building is well written, and interesting to follow as it mixes several themes, such as game elements and historical or mythology stuff. Just this, is a really good compared to other novels.

My main issue is with the MC Kim Dokja of this novel because he is quite blend and boring to follow compared to the other MC of the story who, even if is both a sociopath and psychopath, seems much more interesting to follow.

Kim Dokja is a bit like your classical japaneese MC, sure he... more>> is OP, but for example, he will prefer not to kill anyone for lots of chapters, because for some advantages,
Spoiler

such a being abble to die and be reborn, until he suddently decides to kill and then loose this skill, but a few chapters after, he gets a similar skill...

[collapse]

And it's quite annoying, because he knows how things will happen, he knows the plot, but always underestimates the consequences of changing the original plot. Sure, he's not as a wimp as many other japaneese MC, but, he kind of sucks and even the secondary characters arround him do better to stay alive while not knowing the future and while being still quite op. So at the end, it is quite frustrating to follow this MC.

While the other crazy MC, is in fact, not so crazy, just has a bit of a PTSD from his previous 2 reincarnations and only think to level up, more like your classical Korean MC (Reincarnator). He is the kind of MC, even if a bit mental, more reliable than Kim Dokja.

It feels to me like this novel is written arround the wrong MC :D <<less

Indeed, I can't evaluate such novels, because I don't read in this genre. I mean, I hate this long novels with more than few hundred chapters. So my opinion too subjective and etc. By the way 550 isn't more.

  1. I love that MC really love this book, so it's have much meaning for the end of story. Why this all occured, and deep connection with time lines.
  2. Survival games or apocalypse setting, it's my favorite things, so.
  3. Constellations aka stream viewers. Really idk maybe it's popular thing, but I didn't know about this. They fun and I love them.
  4. I love MC. He is selfless and ruthless at the same time, he always sacrificing for people he love, but he doesn't do annoying things as saving useless people because of kindness or do something pity.
  5. He isn't weak or s*upid, his knowledge of plot doesn't make all for him, he acts with own schemes and do many crazy things even for second MC.
  6. 2nd MC is my crush (although I love them both), he is a b*tch, but I sad for him, and even annoyed him, but it's very good for person who experienced such things.
  7. Their comrades or friends don't annoying, so you even can find your favor, ha.
  8. No romance, but you can find it if you want.
  9. MC interesting person, he seems like person with many friends and all they love him, but he really can't communicate and even end of story ambigious, it's probably HE or maybe not, I almost cried.
It's all was fun, interesting, exciting and sad, since I enjoyed this. Dynamically and without complicated things like game elements or cultivation. And all this story because of damned art at pinterest, really it was too many, so I was interested. Anyway novel awesome.

One thing: this novel is so legit.

I can even saya that it's one of my fav. Fantasy novel that I've read so far.

There's one thing tho: you have to be a little bit patient in the beginning, cause there are a lot of vagur explanation, and things that explained by the MC but you can't understand atau the time.

... more>> But after 50-ish chapter, the information will popped-up one by one, and the novel will be a lot more interesting.

It's not become one of the most popular novel ini Korea for no reason.

And the best thing is started from mid-to-end. Trust me, the moment you think that this is interesting, iy will escalated until the rest of the chapter.

*PS: all that guys that say this is a tr*sh, they HAVE NOT enter the hype YET. So trust me, it's worth your time <<less

What should I say? It's much deeper than I thought, and even though I'm not a huge fan of time paradox, I think it was pretty well incorporated here. Heck, even plot armour and the 'coincidences' or'lucky' incidents all have a reason behind them. It was an amazingly planned out novel. A difficulty in reading it was that the authors often use lots of terms and lingo that you might not know so it did take quite alot of effort to understand what's what.

But hey, I really love these kinds... more>> of stories where it somewhat feels like a mashup of fables and the plot, and more than that I love this kind of story where the MC is OP yet not too OP, and uses everything he can to get the conclusion he's aiming for. Plus he's not s*upid and actually thinks things through instead of being reckless like the typical hot-blooded MC. He does his best, he gives it his all to protect his friends and move forward, at risk of himself. It makes me really happy to read such wholesome, no-one-gets-sacrificed, happy ending after the tragedy kind of story.

The setting of the whole thing just gets you thinking too, and makes you imagine about so many things, one of the great joys I have when I read a good novel. Plus, it's nice to see how the MC wasn't suddenly thrown into a story that he didn't belong to at all, and it's not technically a different world. I think they did really well in making sure that he was as much a part of the world as all the other characters were.
Spoiler

ok not a very big spoiler, but in my opinion, what is listed as the epilogue is not the after-story that most novels are, but the real conclusion. That was the part that really had me almost falling into my screen and in tears.

I dislike one thing: that I don't get to read/see a scene where they are all truly happy, with the 100% recovered Kim dokja being with them and being happy. Even though the last chapter builds up and basically says that they'll be happy, I'd hv liked to see them happy, for some closure. A legit epilogue, you could say. But I guess I should have expected this kind of ending, since from the start to end, none of the 'stories' of the MC group has ever had a complete conclusion. Since the reader is supposed to imagine it for them :')

[collapse]

Overall, a fantastic read, and for the people who fall into novels like me, 500+ chapters is a breeze and was totally worth my emotional investment for the time spent reading it :) Definitely recommend you to read, because we're all 'readers' that can empathize with the story <<less

Great story that I never regret to read it. I really enjoy reading this one. Actually, I just cl**ked it accidentally (sorry grammar suck) I really surprised to see how smart our Dokja (reader) at first before I really really love to see him and his KDJC's journey. Not only Dokja is so OP but Everyone is f*cking so OP. They're not like a mere character for me and not even one chapter of this bored me. (Some arc might be slow at first but it will give you hype... more>> later)

This is the story that show 'the power of the story' between Protagonist, Reader and Author so I will tell you one thing 'Maybe you can predict some parts of this story but you will never no what going to happen next (?) ' haha It's confusing right? That's what I feel while reading. Anyway it's full of emo (I cried so hard at CH525)

I hope you guys read this story as well. I believe it will be the journey you've never seen before. Also if you see reviews from those who give low-rate points (1-2 star) below and it make you hesitate to start reading, just look at 'their status' they went through, 'not completed yet' 95% for sure :) thus will you still hesitate because of those who gave up to read it till the end? *It's alright if it's not your taste but just get off quietly OK (^3^) |?

Finally, Thank you for authors to give this story to come exist in this world. <<less

This novel is unlike any I've read. It's moving, annoying, and I couldn't read it in long stretches. The message is subtle and overt at the same time. It contradicts itself and fixes those contradictions. But I loved it and not a single character felt character-like and I'll remember each and every one of them.

I have to give it to the author for creating an interesting setting. Its a world with a mix of multiple character genre, regressor, reincarnator, isekai/returnees and the likes. You'll see lots of mythology and historical characters and locations thrown in from Asgard, Olympus to Vedas, Eden, Sengoku War, Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, Journey to the West and many more. They all appear as worlds in different scenarios in a game like setting. Theres also strong Inter-dimensional Spacetime Paradox and Ouroboros themes about in the plot.

Characters (antagonist, side characters... more>> etc) in the novel are well developed and author further expanded on the interactions and relationships between the characters which is the other strength for this novel.

I somewhat enjoyed the various events/scenarios that took place but their outcomes start to be repetitive and boring later on. The battles and combat ain't that bad but interesting nonetheless.

The direction of the plot and the protagonist are the weaker and most disappointing aspects of this novel. This novel is an all in and out shounen novel. The webnovel that out MC gets pulled into is the better story in my honest opinion. It is tough, unfair and realistic world where you both win and lose, sacrifices have to be made, relationships tested which all trigger a myriad of emotions in readers. Why does MC love the webnovel? Its because of all these elements. Unfortunately our MC tries to change the webnovel into a happy story. There are no fairytales in reality. Our MC is changing the story into the cliche rubbish that he himself hate the most. Ironic. Sacrifices are pointless when they can be resurrected. Obstacles, dilemma and difficult life choices are pointless when theres always a 3rd option. Again MC turned the story from an engaging one into a cliche shounen plot. Disregarding the overpowered abilities of the MC and the lack of the butterfly effect (like most novels of this genre, just admit it the only butterfly effect is events shuffling across the timeline), the very fact that the story always has a 3rd option is the downfall of the novel. The 3rd option (famous in shounen) sounds like the hard, impossible route but contrary to that, it is actually the easy way out where everyone profits, everyone survives, no one suffers, no obstacles, minimal effort, no learning and maturing. Like I mentioned before, this gets repetitive and annoying later on.

Excellent setting and characters but bad cliche shounen-ish plot direction and protagonist. <<less

The ending is freaking Genius.

The story might seem very inconsistent until you reach around 500. At first everything was so confusing but by the time you reach the epilogue, every minute detail finally meets it's cause. And the author completes the story at a point where it makes us ponder, 'could it be that I contain a part of his soul?' making us a part of it as well. I have never seen more plot twists in a story ever before. And the fact that not everything about the working... more>> of this world is understood makes us believe that even the author is not an omnipotent but a part of the world. <<less

I’m just gonna say that you should read it to the end. It will be confusing every now and then because of the writing style but trust me, but the explanations as well as the ending and epilogues are just pure gold. It’s a hidden gem that you won’t be able to see its values unless you read all of the chapters.

Having binge this novel, I could say that the novel isn't perfect. The beginning of the novel is really interesting, but as it continue, the story keep having plot twist and getting a bit boring. But I can say that sticking until the end of the novel won't be a disappointment. The Epilogue arc is beautifully written, a conclusion that the reader would want.

Wew, the plot was somewhat predictable (MC story) but still interesting and entertaining, at least most of it. I found it harder to keep reading after around chapter 200, skipped a lot until the last chapters. Epilogue was my favorite part, totally worth to read completely. Also, the idol group was hilarious lol

Ummm there's a lot of drama, characters suffering was hard to read, I truly felt sorry for them : (

It's an amazing novel, I can't recommend it enough.

Spoilers Ahead:

The characters are amazing but not perfect by the ending they were still like that, but the thing this novel was trying to teach us that you can't know a character from a novel even if you read it a thousand times made that all the characters more life like.

The story at the start is kinda generic, but the more I read the more I got pulled into their story (pun intended), then into the second half the world building just... more>> got better, loved why the main focus on their power was the 'story', also a favorite is that this novel has "no plot holes" its just the actual MC trying to help himself while interfering with the story.

PS: If I'm Kim-dokjas reincarnation I hope I helped a bit with a happy ever after epilogue. <<less
