I really enjoyed this novel. While there's enough conflict and plot to keep it from being boring, there's never any misunderstandings between the main couple. They have complete trust in each other.

The MTL is easy to understand though the s*x scenes are... well, they involve a lot of hoes and plows and steering wheels and seatbelts and labour and socialism. I honestly had no idea what was going on in them.

This is the first BL novel Ive read though where the couple both argued about being bottom because they don't want the other to be in pain. Which is a nice change from overprotective MLs who can't bear to let the MC get hurt... but also won't ever consider "lowering" themselves to be bottom.

I really liked this novel... maybe because MC is quite mature, maybe because ML is so devoted to MC (usually it leads to blackening or obsession, but not in this case - they did not have an unhealthy relationship at any point), maybe because the side characters were very vivid... anyway, I really recommend it!

3 stars for the story and 1 star for the MC. It's really such a cute story.

Best MC I've read in a long time. Upright, kind, but not a pushover, and proactive with his feelings.

ML is the typical cold CEO type but he has a reason why, especially the original time line. In the new time line he isn't completely an ice cube, smiles some and has some friends.

The side characters were nice, not annoying and no random evil girl love rivals. The study god girl was an interesting addition.... more>> Villians are pretty much 1 dimensional idiots, but it works for this story.

the Chen family gets delt with early on for the most part. The son pops up a couple of more times, only briefly, it's not a huge part of the story. They are completely taken care of in the last few chapters. I was surprised the mom was killed off and by the step dad.

The blood related dad is also such a scum. Our ML gets him committed to a mental hospital and I love how ML set it up.

The extras about the original world was not what I was expecting, but I still enjoyed it. Really recommend reading the extras.

I guess my only real big complaints are:

    1. Too much time is spent on childhood to first year of high school, then major time skip and it's 8 years later, then only a few more chapters and it's done. Would have liked at least 1 more time skip for the main story, little glimpse would have been fine.
    1. The biggest annoyance is the author using weird analogies for the smexy time to get around the censorship. I would have rather the author just skip the smexy bits, there were roller coasters, socialism, farming, seatbelts, bicycles, it was so confusing. What's wrong with the driving analogy all the authors use.

the story is very simple; ML was abused and MC saved him. Ml's gratefulness then turned into love. I really like mc; he is very straightforward and really trusts ml.

he also understood why ML paid people to beat up his stepbrother but still berated him because he put himself in danger.

the story itself doesn't necessarily stand out but I have to say once again that I really like the MC lolll he is kind, easily acknowledges ml's ability (they were business rivals), understanding and straightforward so there are no typical unreasonable tantrums or dragged on misunderstandings.

Pretty cute, but the MTL for the parts where they're being physically intimate in any capacity made my brain hurt.

I will say upfront that the age difference with time travel stories always gets me feeling a little icky, but this story handled it pretty well! Given that MC was 30 or so when he went back in time to his 10 year old self, it took me a while to accept in my head that this was what it was just going to have to be haha

3 stars for now,... more>> but I would recommend for a light read. It's a bit intense with the bullying scenes but the aftereffects are basically nonexistent so it wasn't super impactful. Would have liked seeing a bit more drama but since it's a shorter story it was sweet and without any true misunderstandings.

A good short sweet story to enjoy.

A very sweet paring. But again the enemy doesn't seem much of an enemy. I was looking for the type where enemy that hated each other to the bone relationship then turn couple that type of thing

So sweet! 🥰

This is a lovely novel but unfortunately, it's a bit too short. The pacing is ok and the MTL is readable but it's not recommended to MTL since the novel uses a lot of metaphors/ euphemisms, especially about s*x scenes.

The MC is a breath of fresh air, different from other similar novels, he didn't keep on watching as the ML suffers and proactively tried to save him early on. There's a plot point that seemed too fake to me near the end and it bothered me a little.

At some point the ML is kidnapped by his father, kept captive for 8 years and didn't contact the MC, so I thought something serious might've happened, but as it turns out, the only reason he didn't try scaping his father even though he knew the MC would suffer is because his father said he would announce publicly he loves the MC. At that point the ML was already chasing the MC and his self-steem was not too bad and he even once saw the MC have a spring dream about him, so it didn't make sense to me at all.

This kinda reminds me of author's other story "The Villain is Born with a Sweet Tooth". The only thing I wasn't too fond on this story is the timeline of their childhood spent 40 chapters and the story kicks off after the time skip.

It's a fun read.

MTL is pretty good, not bad.

A good nice story. I have completed the story but haven't read the extras yet, I was planning on not reading them but I read a comment that said the extras r really reccommended and good so I may read them in the future. The story is a light one, if u wanna read something light, cute and wanna pass time, try this.
