After Yeo-ju dies in an accident, she is reincarnated as a crow in a female-oriented (otome) game she played a long time ago.

The first place she opened her eyes was in a forest, and she was afraid and terrified of the reality that she had to live as a crow in the future.

Thinking that she needs to find someone to raise her, she searches for people and finds the wounded Crown Prince Karmeut.

She hopes that the Crown Prince will take care and raise her later with utmost sincerity. She evades the orcs, brings him food, and finds some herbs to heal him…

It's made to be fluffy, but it has a fine plot regardless.

It has been said it was more difficult to resist impulses because of the downgrade on intelligence, and the nervous breakdown.

So naturally, thought process, emotions and actions are bound to be a tangled mess, give her a break.

... more>> That being said, I don't like pushy ML's, but as the FL said, it's not like she disliked the skinship... more like there was too much to process, between the OFL existence before meeting, and her own situation, mentioned above.

As for the ending arc, I seriously don't understand the butthurt people.

She needed to get stronger, and what else could she do than what she did?

Even FL mentions her shortcomings that caused it, after all was over.

Same goes for OFL, maybe the ones that avoided the side stories should give it a chance before typing...

I enjoyed this one quite a bit, I'm rather sad the specials stopped at #8.

But as the translator said, at least it isn't a cliffhanger, so I can be satisfied. <<less

I hoped I would love this, but I'm not sure I can go on much further. There is too much sugar for me. This fic is like a super-sized soda and extra large fries, with a slice of apple pie on top.

Sounds good at first, but the low nutrition caught up with me.

If you can speed read through the many chapters where the ML and FL are making sparkly eyes at each other then go forth and gorge. But if you ask me, day-ummmmn that man was ready to tap... more>> that crow pretty quickly.

One interesting fact of note - the symbiotic relationship between wolves and ravens is real! Not sure why the author chose to make FL a crow instead ¯_ (ツ) _/¯ <<less

I personally like this more than the manhwa.

Yes it's more brutal but that adds to the contrast of being in a "fantasy world" and not everything being "all cuddles and love"

The specific thing that was changed so far that painted the tone differently and lowered the rating (R-15) for the manhwa:

In the novel, the maid that planted the recording device, is beheaded by the ML and he throws the head towards his brother when he goes to rescue our MC, it is not stated if she's the same maid that our MC gave the flower trying to befriend her but in the scene with the flower she was "polishing" the "porcelain vase" that served as the "device" so it is implied it was her.

In the manhwa, this same maid isn't beheaded, instead the prince ask all the prisoners that are suspected to "please help" and she helps remembering the crow was kind to her with the flower, then she becomes the maid of our MC after all is said and done.

You're telling me, that in a palace where siblings have to kill each other to gain the right of succession, they would just shrug off a spy of their enemy and even put them right next to the person they care about the most? that's... simply not in line with the setting, it's not a big deal, but it does change the tone quite a lot and I like the tone of the novel more

That being said, I really love this novel, read it, it's good, there is a stark contrast between the humor and the reality, but it's very well done and it makes sense, the manhwa made it a bit less brutal but it's all there anyway. <<less

I'll give it 4* (edit: down to 3) just because it's not a bad time waster, but tbh the way it's written is mildly annoying. The MC seems to be s*upider after transmigrating and on top of that she's acting even dumber than she already is so the ML won't suspect she used to be human.

A lot of the chapters are basically the exact same thing happening. The ML will do something that embarrasses the MC, then she'll turn into a crow and he'll laugh. It feels like the author... more>> ran out of ideas after he thought of the premise. It's like 60-80% of most chapters are filler.

The premise would be better if she really was a crow. She constantly mentions how much dumber she is since she became a crow and at this point she's so dumb it's a little sad. It makes the ML look bad too because it's like he's trying to seduce an incredibly hot ret*rded person. <<less

The relationship is fluffy and all, but the novel suffers from a severe lack of plot. Pretty much most of the time is the same loop of getting petted, eating cookies, preening feathers, hiding on a closet, cawing this and that and sleeping. Then maybe some plot happens, FL gets upset and we're back to where we began.

I love everything related to love or animal transformation, so I like this story.

But it would have been great if the summary wasn't so spoiled. I know it was expected, but it kind of breaks the magic of the story lectors like to fantasise about. Plus : ... more>>

So far, the ML is not totally in love with the BIRD (fortunately) and the FL hasn't transformed yet, so idk why it was necessary to precise when or who falls in love or transform intoba bird

Still, if you are looking for a simple shape-shifting love where one of the love interest is locked into an animal form, this story is made for you ;)

- I'm not English-native, so I probably made many mistakes writing this :') <<less

This is one of the ones where I’ll recommend you read the manhwa instead. It’s fluffy, but not without plot and there have been a few dark moments, and it doesn’t seem like it’s gonna be the type without fighting, it’s just that we’re early on and abilities to fight haven’t really developed yet. That said, there’ve been a few minor fight scenes already with one really big one from the ML, and in almost all of them the FL (main character as well) has been of some use by... more>> either kicking the sh*t out of the enemy, flying in their face or using their knowledge of animal anatomy to get a good critical hit in. Apart from that, romance is good, though I’m a little bit concerned it’s gonna go the route of the FL completely avoiding the ML just because the original heroine exist and “might go his route” even though it’s obviously not going to happen that way. I don’t just mean reader obvious either, the ML has made it abundantly clear he’s into the FL and has asked for her hand in marriage already, it’s only her reluctance with the heroine existing holding the relationship back. That said, the authors smart and quick to resolve the type of drama the viewers wouldn’t like, so I think it’ll be ok. 5 stars so far. <<less

I really enjoyed the pacing of the story, it’s wasn’t boring, but wasn’t so quick as it was confusing. Translations are also done well.

For better or for worse the thought-processes are very simplistic. I think this helps the cute theme however it’s never been much my taste.
I’m a hardcore bird lover, definitely recommend this !!

i haven’t read the manhwa but maybe I will later.

3.5* rating - review: okay to read if you want a fluffy filler, I really like the idea behind the plot and certain things about the story but the execution isn't great characters feel really flat

Plot MC transmigrated waking up in the body of a crow, not wanting to have to rough it in the wild besides to find a human to mooch off of and ends up saving a prince, ML decides to take his pet with him to the palace, so far MC is basically powerless and just... more>> relies on the prince except for in the very beginning which is annoying <<less

This is really good so far, I came from the manhwa and loved it because of the comedy. Has been reading the novel even if it's way behind the manhwa (almost catching up tho), and I noticed a few differences like how ... more>>

Karmeut decapitated the maid rather than asking them like in the manhwa, I felt chills reading that. I mean yeah, Karmeut is no angel but I never saw that coming so I was shocked.

Nevertheless, I love the details and parts that are not in the manhwa (it may be the same for other novels with manhwa adaptations but still!) it surprises me. To the Translator team, tysm! The translation was really good and I had a great reading experience! I hope you continue translating the novel till the end! <<less

My advice is to start with the novel instead of the manhwa: They changed a lot in the comic, some cute and sad things were replaced with comedy. I didn't like it. But I do hope that they'll rewrite the WHOLE ending part.
This could be one of my favorite stories if the ending arc (last 30-40 chapters?) wasn't this ridiculously bad. Bad isn't even fit to describe how awful it is.
When I got the right amount of fluff I didn't expect a thick plot. I was fine with it. Main event finished in the first 40 chapters? It's ok, because the details were beautiful and calming. Let me tell you, I was PASSIONATE about this novel.

My emotions about the characters:
FL: As a past crow owner and a current parrot owner, if I may: FL WAS SO CUTE. I WAS MELTING. All the noises she made echos in my head. Her thought process is so adorable.
ML: The tail wags UGH. I want to hug them both. ML is one of the BEST. (until the ending arc ofc) I was a little angry with him since he pushed teachers on her... I feel like Miel would never torture her with all the etiquette rules and a 15 days banquet. I wish they didn't force her this much from the beginning :<
OGFL: First I couldn't decide if she was good or bad. It was so much fun. Then she turned out the be me. An extreme bird lover. Ah I can't describe my enjoyment 😄 THEN, GOD, THEN... I wish I could burn her at the stake. She deserved it fully. Ofc the criminal is the author by turning the story around OGFL's selfish and annoying-as-hell mistake.
Male Crow: Didn't go anywhere, it was pointless.

The translation was superb. There were very few mistakes and very easy to understand.
I was going to give this a 5 before the author stab the story in the heart, burned it, resurrect it again and punched it to death again and again. Sad that I can't evaluate this book without the ending. The whole ending part made me so angry that I want to forget it.
Don't think I'll read the specials, when I forget the last arc I might re-read it until the OGFL part. The happy ending would be that for me.
So sad to give this a 3, what was the author thinking while planning the whole chaotic s*upidity?

There are so many times that you can repeat the same thing until you get tired. It doesn't bother me that the protagonist is dumber for being a crow, in fact I approve it, makes her more interesting than the average female protagonist, what did make me end this is that after 5 or 6 kisses, numerous hugs and caresses she still have problems to be with the ML. The Skinship scene with the ML, then the MC turns into a crow has happened so many times it's not funny... more>> anymore. It's not like she's in doubt about whether she loves him or would let the heroine take it from her. <<less
