Actually very sweet. Almost gave up part way through. But I like HE and persisted to the end. The characters are all very lovely (except the baddies).

The first half well worth reading. Thank you to the translators for sharing their work.

First and far most, its one of the best ABO novel for me. MM and im the type of person who usually avoids abo.

the story:

The summary makes sense but it doesn’t revolve there (if yk wht I mean). Its even the least concerning part of the plot. The story really revolves around the MC & ML daily activities as a military admiral and secretary + some angst (in which I love so MUCH). The description of the war and the fight for power is realistic imp, not TOO exaggerated. Anyways... more>> the plot is not boring at all eventhough sometimes it gets quite repetitive. Also I felt the ending could be more escalated but nevertheless its good. (Maybe bcs I mtled it) Can’t wait to read the extra by the TL UWU

ABO:

gosh, I just cant- its so beautiful. LIKE ITS THE MOST EQUAL RELATIONSHIP EVER???. BRO forget other romance novel, this is what you call true love. Despite knowing that MC is an omega, ML doesn’t cage him just to protect him, he lets him fight as a comrade-in-arm, he acknowledges MC’s abilities and does not see him as a weak, powerless omega. the premise remind me of What's wrong with secretary kim.

We have two extremes here, MC who is rational and ML who is cold yet narcissistic at times.

MC, as a secretary is a shadow boss in the military, he handles the logistics so well a day of absence spells hell. He knows when to draw the line between work and romance hence his surprise about his CP relationship with ML in the eyes of the public. He did not instantly fell in love with ML but his interaction with him gives... more>> you the view that ML is in his heart.

This could be seen on his declaration to be MLs secretary for life, his rejection of blind dates upon MLs request and feeling guilty about it when caught, his actions of buying things that would look good with ML and their natural romantic interaction

. MC is rational in a sense that he thought it through before accepting ML, it might seem as if he was forced but just looking at his interaction with ML, as well as how he did not feel disgusted with their CP fans as well as skimming doujins about them, you will know its a long time coming.

As for ML he is mentally scarred, they both are, but ML is on the extreme as his mental scar manifest physicaly, emotionaly and psychologically and during those process of healing MC was there, a silent pillar. ML never considered love, nor did he even look at MC in a romantic way yet his action speaks just how important MC was to him. When he misunderstood that MC likes him, he did not fell for MC at that moment but his view changed about MC and gradually he fell in love.

it was actually quite an experience to see ML thinking about how dirty he is that he bedded and temporarily mark another person, how he wished it was MC. Such thought manifested when he realized he love MC

. ML is arrogant, he was an admiral and knows his worth. His arrogance could be seen with how he treat MC, with all those kabedon and teasing MC with pheromone but I must say, he never went beyond MCs line, so I guess that could be a pass, after all he never induced MC to go in heat (but I could be wrong with mtl 😅)

as for the story, there's nothing new, I guess but its still refreshing reading the two leads circle around love and romance and how they heal each other. For once I read an omega who always has his inhibitor and is quick on using it 😁😁, gotta give MC a credit with how creative he is with hiding his pheromone scent and using inhibitors.

There's some information in the latter part that will make you, "WHAT??" as no foreshadowing was ever present (a feat that is constant with this author. Heck I just finished another novel of hers/his, that made me scratch my head with all those sudden info towards the end without any foreshadowing at all and the constant jump from one scene to another after every chapter). But at least in these one there are subtle foreshadows

This novel is about love story between

the secretary and the admiral/general. But it's not actually 100% love story with brainless plot. It was a very good plot and the author had written it in a perfect way. The emotions and the plot had been written in a nice way. It is one of the unique novels that I had read because usually the interstellar novels are about zerg and war against aliens. But this one is mainly about politics and fight against the star pirates (if my chinese... more>> is good enough.....I think it's star pirates). I personally like the novels to be long and have a perfect ending with extras but this novel although it's short, it gave me satisfaction of reading. It deserves any rating above 4. Can't believe it has low rating when I first came across this. Totally unfair for the novel coz it is really good!

It was funny and not the usual ML. The ML was grumpy, grouchy, childish man and quite funny and naive in some sense. Not the usual cold, domineering, all knowing MLS in the interstellar genre.

The MC is cool and quite loyal and loving towards the ML.

I like that everyone was rooting for them. It was hilarious.

Well I am just looking for good chinese mpreg novels, I just need the name, it's because I can't get those chinese website there's no classifications, I can't hunt for good novels, I am only waiting for someone to start translating one he find good to start reading

He keep secret a lot from ml

The MC keep lying even though he promised the ML he would never again, and would keep getting in trouble because of that, and ML would jump in and save the day everytime

I don't know for other person, but for me, I'm a person who absolutely hate people lying to me, so~ that kind of attitude really pissed me off~~~

BEAUTIFUL LOVE!

I feel soooo happy, it was sooo wholesome, I think I will smile for a week or more~

This is my 2nd novel which I dared to ‘read’ MTL and it was worth it! I will re-read it again when it will get proper translations, I am upset I lack the talent in translating and didn’t learn Chinese ;A; *whispers: someone plz pick up it for translating*

Ran Ran and Lucas such a cute and clumsy couple. Their love started earlier than they realized themselves. Synopsis and title makes... more>> Admiral look unreasonably fearsome, he is short-tempered and can be unreasonable, but the more you read, the more you see his clumsiness and cuteness, he and Luo Ran share lots of emotional moments and past, they care a lot for each other and maybe that’s the reason why they didn’t realize feelings until that ‘one night stand’. It’s funny how whole Empire shipped them and they didn’t realize XD

Lucas and Ran Ran are a power couple, they support and respect each other. The confession of Admiral was hilarious and the fact that he knows everything about his secretary from his favorite colour to his little habits is endearing and warms my heart.

The plot was interesting too and even tho I guessed some (cuz it wasn’t that complicated), but I still enjoyed it a lot. There were no lose ends and everything went full circle. Also... there were many side couples popping out (it was just funny, but I won’t spoil cuz really... it’s funnier to read XD) plus it’s part of plot so I won’t spoil.

I still feel giddy and happy... it’s so hard to put my words on how much I love this couple... Really a worthy read, one day I hope to read about their love not thru broken MTL, I bet it will be 200% sweeter ;) <<less

The first review on the page kinda stop me from read this BUT BUT it turns out to be soooo gooodddd.

ML and MC is equal, MC is strong and not like your typical Uke. Love it. Like many review said it's like 'what's wrong with secretary Kim?'

The story focus on the growth and the connection between ML and MC, they trust each other and treat each other as a comrade.

It's a good AO story.

Dont let other review or my review stop you from reading this, just give it a try.

Up to where I stopped, it was pleasant though I did notice some hints of pettiness and childishness on ML's part.

What really made me rate this novel high is actually because of a simple line, something like---

"When you were 13, what were you doing?"

... more>> Something about just playing or schooling, something normal.

"But when ML was 13, he was already fighting battles."

You see, the position of marshall, Generals etc especially in interstallar novels portrayed ML's receiving injuries or scars and so on but still relatively intact which is brushed over by the fact that with the MC's appearance, would later on heal or solve their problems unless they are the OP ML tropes.

Here, the impact of wars showed on the fact that ML basically lost some of his fingers and had distinguishing marks of battle and how damaging a war could be.

It's a small detail but this resulted in this novel making a deep impression on me and thus the high rating despite it not being among the best of those I've read.

The rating may change though depending on the degree of downward trend on ML's impression as revealed by others. <<less

It's a pretty nice novel for passing time, it's not exactly the best but it's still pretty decent, I would say it was an overall pleasant experience reading if it weren't for unreasonable-ness of the ML, especially before they confirmed their relationship, which sort of ruined the experience. I don't want to spoil but of some of the ML's actions just frustrated me a lot, it's probably just because I don't like these type of characters and seeing how the MC never really getting mad at the ML's actions just... more>> was frustrating cause if I was in the MC's shoes I would be kind of mad. But then again I'm not the MC so I don't have the bond that he shares with the ML nor the patience and tolerance to deal with these types of people. I know, I know, it's fiction so I shouldn't think too hard about these type of stuff. Anyways, I'm just writing this to inform anyone that reads this why I give this a "meh" rating. The ML simply wasn't my cup of tea but hey, you might be fine with the ML. Don't let this review stop you from giving it a try if you're truly curious. <<less

It's a very cute novel and is fun to read to take the stess away.

It starts out with Luo Ran, the capable secretary of the violent puppy dog general Lucas, hiding the fact that they had a one night stand together.

The mystery of the "one night stand" sends Lucas into anger and he vows to kill them once they are found.

With a fist on the table and an order to find the "scheming villain", Luo Ran wears a gentle smile with determination to keep the fact that he slept with... more>> the general a secret forever.

Unexpectedly, secrets and mysteries are unveiled in this mission including the romantic feelings between as and Luo Ran that has bloomed over many, many, years.

All in all, the novel was a fun read and I shook my head at how many people smashed at the banquet.

The drama was solved easily and the villains are true scum. However, the main focus is the lead's relationship so the many side characters aren't developed, to which, is alright with me because they're side characters.

I also loved how everyone in the empire shipped the Lucas and Luo Ran so hard they're deemed the national CP. Everything they do is hilariously documented in a lovely fanclub group ^^.

I enjoyed the story a lot. And yes, it was truly a beautiful love indeed.

Luo Ran (MC) isn't the 'son' of the worm like thing. He came from Pure City— its where high-level Alpha and Omega's live. He survived for 6 months in a cave with only eating weeds, dirt, and mud. His hair turned silver because of radiation sort of —the one they are mining currently in the story which I forgot the name. Lucas and Luo Ran didn't have a Clandestine love affair years ago. They were in that cabin because Lucas' mental health is really bad and he needs Luo Ran's pheromone. But both of them were accidentally injured which cause them to forgot that time.

It starts out with Lucas' wanting to find his one-night stand which is actually Luo Ran. Their investigation leads them to many discoveries.

I like it how Lucas' acts like he didn't care about Luo Ran in their early years of working together. But when someone almost r*pe/ harassed (MTL is kinda misleading, so I don't know which of the two) Luo Ran, Lucas jumped in and beat the other guy. It was also the reason why he taught Luo Ran how to fought.

The novel began promisingly, with a strong foundation of plot and intriguing characters.

At its core, the novel has the potential to explore complex themes and characters in a meaningful way.

However, as the story progressed, the execution faltered.

Many of repetitive sentences and predictable presentation.

The characters' motivations became increasingly unreasonable.

The plot becomes convoluted and unsatisfying, and the characters' motivations remain underdeveloped.

By the end of the novel, the once-promising story had devolved into a mediocre.

Beautiful love~~

The best ML and MC. Despite knowing that MC is an omega, ML doesn’t treat him like some delicate doll. He lets him fight as a comrade-in-arm, he acknowledges MC’s abilities and does not see him as a weak, powerless omega.

Both of them protect each other with the right amount of possessiveness.

There's also the supporting characters. I like them too. All basically have a pretty happy ending

Won't rate, I didn't read it all, skimmed most of it. If I did rate, it would only be 2.5 stars.

If the author kept it as a short story, maybe 50 chapters, I think it would have been a pretty good story. The characters and plot line just aren't detailed and developed enough for more.

The lies and misunderstandings just drag on too long and I'm not masochistic enough to let the author play with me. The author would almost let the omega secret out, but then something would miraculously save... more>> the secret, rinse and repeat.

A story of healing, moving forward, many interlinked relationships and getting the happiness that one deserves. At first point you will thought that MC is a calm, all knowing secretary but he's not. He also had his low point in life and hardships before he became the man he is in the present. ML is of course his life mostly revolves in Military and slowly slowly... realizing MC's importance to him. The accident that happened at the start of the story interlinks to many hidden intrigues. It's also one of... more>> the trigger for our couple to be more conscious of each other. There are many twist&turns in the story especially both MC&ML had some parts of their memories that they can't remember. They will gradually remember-near the end of the story. What chap ML knew it was his secretary that night? At chap 80+ hahaha there were also many couples here. All hail for the empire's cp fans & the military cp fans of our couple HAHAHA how many children did our couple have?

Oh my God! This story is seriously good. It's been a long time since I've last read a really good omegaverse story.

This story not only focus on the growth of their relationship but also on their daily life and job. It put emphasize on the military aspect and I really like that. Other stories usually just tend to focus more on the love and physical relationship, but this story has both! How can I not like it.

The premise reminded me of kdrama "what's wrong with secretary kim?". You will understand... more>> if you read it.

Damn, once again, this masochistic single dog jump into a pit, become addicted, and impatiently read the raws xD.

I admit, the starting point is nothing new, some might say a bit cliche but damn. Cliches like this are my cup of tea *^*.

Just the right amount of the things I like UwU. If there's something that is a bit of a disappointment is the lack of depth of some of the cannon fodders... aside from that I enjoyed it.

MTL-ed the story.

This novel feels like a typical ABO novel with unexpected depth. The story flow was smooth, with the plot points tying together nicely mostly. Foreshadowing was brought up at appropriate times for most plot points. Although there were many cliches, the way they happened was quite unexpected at times.

They didn't enter the Ferris wheel together but due to a breakdown, the ML jumped in to the MC's carriage while in mid air.

The misunderstandings between the oblivious MC and narcissistic ML were quite typical but funny though.

Bonus points for this novel:

  • The relationship between MC and ML visibly strengthened each other's characters and brought healing to both of them.

The ML appears to be slightly childish and possessive at the beginning but it got better later. It was also cute to see him taking the initiative to learn how to treat the MC better/chase the MC. The character development for the ML was done pretty well.

The MC appears 95% of the time as calm and nonchalant. But he's actually a person with a lot of inner worries.

Although the MC took a long time to respond to ML's feelings, the author brought up good reasons for MC's hesitation. The healing/reassurance for MC was done pretty well too.

Both of them have mental damage that ties into the plot. I do mean mental damage instead of mental illness btw. Although they both do have mental trauma as well.

The mental damage for the ML appeared to have been an unspoken reason for his slight childishness.

There were a few scenes where they showed the ML accidentally using too much strength when grabbing the MC's wrists. It was only revealed in the second quarter of the story that (if I rmb correctly) ML's hands were actually made of metal which is why he had difficulty gauging the strength of his hands at times.

There was a funny incident when the ML tried to cook an omelette for the MC yet he kept breaking the eggs.

There was also a cute scene in a flashback when the MC taught the ML to write.

The minute I read the confession scene, I decided to give it five stars.

It was just too cute and wholesome! Had me rolling around in bed for half an hour while squealing! Luo Ran, our omega MC is super strong and mature, able to handle most tasks while still being adorable. Then there's Lucas, our rough, bear-like alpha who is hilariously narcissistic at times, but also quite adorable and clumsy with some matters.

I do admit, his possessiveness can go to certain extremes at times, and he's also rather childish too,... more>> but not in a way you'd dislike. It makes for a rather funny read instead of being off-putting, as I have seen in other novels.

Very enjoyable read, not angsty at all. <<less
