MTL-ed this. This was a surprisingly somewhat mature take on the whole rebirth thing, with almost all the characters involved getting some character development + emotional growth.

MC herself stayed pretty realistic (to me) - although she was reborn, she didn't immediately gain the intelligence to scheme or take revenge, she stayed within the framework of who she was before and after the rebirth; a sheltered noble lady who didn't have the knowledge or social network to utilise. The brother was the one doing the scheming etc - in another story the brother would had been an ML given what he's capable of, but here the actual ML was someone that felt more fitting for the kind-hearted MC.

The story also gave an explanation on the time regression, and it implied a reason why the MC remembered the previous timeline.

Also, the MC's brother felt more like the protagonist in the later part of the story, but that felt OK, given that at that point in time there was nothing the MC could do. <<less

Honestly, the whole story's all over the place. It's an interesting read and managed to achieve this really cool mysterious mood and some neat, however (in my modest opinion) it was not worth more than the sum of its parts.

Credit where it's due tho: very nuanced characterization. Natalia's attachment to her abuser. Leopold's character arc. Even Alejandro's backstory. Also arguably the real star of the (later parts of the) show, Rembrandt. Edgar is, of course, a sweetheart.

To be honest, there's no point in this regression. I feel like the outcome of first life was actually satisfactory. The more I know about the characters the more I felt they got what they deserved in the first life. 🙄🙄🙄

Would not recommend unless you want to be frustrated out your mind. Literally I just wanted to see her ex-crush and best friend suffer but rather had a sh*tty story about them 'maturing' or whatever and some more betrayals between characters I didn't give a f*ck about, not very satisfying and couldn't finish it because I was just bored out of my brains about all the freaking excuses the characters made about their actions in the past, also really boring 'conspiracy' part, I literally wanted ROMANCE and REGRET and I... more>> felt there wasn't enough.

But MC is b*tch. I agree with a reviewer here. MC got what she deserves in the first life. Clueless spineless fool, didn't even change after regression. She wants to help her mu*derer and her crush who didn't give a f*ck about her even when she was dying. He was more worried that his girlfriend will be in jail for killing his wife.

And she wanted her brother to go out of the way to save him from Alejandro??... more>> What did Alejandro did? Caused financial disturbance to her crush. Last time I check it was very mild than killing love rival. <<less
