Interesting cast of characters with their own humorous personalities and idiosyncrasies. Somewhat poor world building... suffers from an excessively convoluted world (various races, professions, factional and political powers), so the progress of MC through his newfound life tends to be very jumbled. It seems a stretch that MC's modern day thinking and knowledge of literary works (famous poems) can have an excessive influence in the new world. Because if it's really ancient China, then most people aren't literate. Am reading entirely from raws. The translator actually did a pretty good job (all of 2 chapters) before disappearing. This novel will probably never be translated. The sheer amount of prose and wax poetic (very often unnecessary and just there for word count) is a deterrence to most translators.
