Well, this series is a enjoyable one. Not the best, sure. But definitely FAR from worst, I can at least say that. So let's list my opinion on the series so far.

  1. The MC is not spineless. It's a big plus for me. But also not ruthless, cold, blooded killing machine. He knows when to be calm and when to be ruthless. And his character is quite wise. Understandable so since he is actually an old man inside.
  2. The battle is not the best. Quickly written and to the point. Best for one that doesn't like prolonged fight or over-detailed scene. But not good for one that want to immerse in the feel of the fight.
  3. The character beside the MC has 'life' to it. Well, some of it. His 2 main companions are quite in contrast and they add more color to it. And so far there's no romance to it, which is good. Or at least there's no romance. So I don't know why the harem tag is there.
  4. The events are quite fresh for me. I won't say it to spoil the series, but it has quite a nice feeling to it. They are cliche here and there, but nicely presented. Are they innovative? Certainly not. But are they boring? Also, certainly not.

I'm surprise, its very well written and cover is misleading. If you like "Miracle Throne" or "Amber Sword" You'll probably like this due to a lot of similarities. The Heroine is very similar to Ying Ying and Romaine. Plus Rona who does the management.

In the end they are leeching off the MC to get stronger and keep dragging MC into A LOT of trouble. But I'm grateful the Author at least admits Shion hypocrisy and you can tell she and Rona are going to suffer from all that in the... more>> future. But somehow MC will valiantly saves these "mistress in distress". I loved the way things started but it started to get off topic on other things and the plot was completely forgotten. They easily fall in love with him and easily can't live without him. There are so many inconsistencies in this story...

I think could be better. FYI: Calling a 30 year old with a 10 year old. Way to justify pedophilia. He's 18 with a 94 year old mentality and she's 10. Treated like a sister but still a future lover.. <<less

i really do like this story, the language somehow little hard to understand but it was good on its own way. The MC was like my preferred character badass, cool, not swayed by others people thinking. The story make him keep getting more and more badass as the time went on. But during postwar and the negotiation of his reward I read these line

'i will give you peerage and territory' my mood hit rock bottom. What kind joke is this ? I feel like step on some sh*t now, hey... more>> hey hey where his badass character go ? He keep pushing his own way to do everything and now became a docile dog ? <<less

There are lot of things to complain about. However, my biggest issue is how much of a hypocrite the MC is. He also what I would describe as casually evil. And a psychopath he not actually a good guy which is what I thought he was to begin with.

I also was really bothered by his warped perception of women..

I dumped this one halfway through the first chapter. I've read s*upid before, but this one was on a whole other plain. "Don't judge a book by it's cover?" The cover was the most intelligent thing I saw from this. I CAN NOT believe that this is Seinen. There is nothing about it to attract a mature aged audience. "See Pug Run" from first grade seemed more mature than this. Normally I try to live by a 5 chapter rule, just like the 3 episode rule with anime, but when... more>> I feel my brain cells die, and I start literally puking, I have to drop it right then and there. I can't believe that it has such a high rating. <<less

Really enjoyed reading it. Pretty fun group dynamic and the cast is solid and each has their own personality that is more than just varying types of dere for the MC. MC is refreshing as well. Smart. Has no problems killing or making heartless decisions for the good of his group. Isn't a bleeding heart that has to save everyone. Isn't the usual dense harem protag, even if one is building around him much against any interest of his. Helps he has solid reasons for not going the distance with any of them. About the only complaint I have is that the author gets a bit too into the MCs thought processes so you have several pages of deciding what to do in a situation. While it might in actuality be only a few seconds of time, it just feels odd having 2 pages of discussion before entering the big creepy door for example. Minor but it happens often enough to be noticable. Minor spoiler with another minor complaint:

Spoiler

And the fact that one of the reasons he decides to go to the world is new and interesting food there. Yet so far it is literally just him remaking things from earth and being thrilled about it. Oh this is the new name for rice. Oh this is basically a potato. With the MCs personality I would think he should have decided he needed to drop kick God again at least once by now since he has YET to eat something delicious made by someone not related to him.

The action moves forward quite interestingly, but all "positive characters", MC, two "harem girls", etc. are kind of deficient in a way that decreases empathy of the reader. There is an explanation for it, the world is "depleted" spiritually, so the best it gets is a trio of a bad ass, a bit*h and an airhead that is slowly expanding. It is fine that they are not "too perfect", but...

The story is so far is good and comedy was decent and the fight scenes and Gore are well written here/

This isn't your typical Isekai indecisive MC you find in alot of novels now days

He is totally a "BAD DASS" Like for real you can say he is one of those few realistic MC with a battle junkie nature.

Also the world around MC is also well written it's Dark, though Author doesn't show it the whole time that often in that perspective but he does a good job on showing... more>> about it when the time eventually comes.

Well what can I say about that GORE ? It's great and so the translations are.

Yes, The starting might feel a bit off though the comedy was great there but it get's really better after that starting point that's when the real sh*t start so bear with it so you can enjoy this novel at it's potential. <<less

Its ok, interesting idea and it kind of plays with the trope that the hero comes and fights the demon lord by questioning why the system exists in the first place. In this case the Supervisors of the planet are playing some kind of game against each other and it is causing so many problems that the creator god of the universe has to start intervening to remove them from their positions.

I have to say though that as time goes on I dislike the main character more and more.

He really... more>> has no redeeming qualities he isn't nice to anyone really.

The Comedy in the story is the kind of gag where one person will go "well I am surprised you held yourself back instead of destroying the city" and so while in his head he agrees with them that they have a point that he usually would destroy the city

he decides that he doesn't like the implication that he is wantonly violent and that the appropriate response is to squeeze their skull till they pass out from something like the increased pressure on the brain, or you know bashing them over the head or choking them. I don't really find that kind of comedy funny after the first time. It just comes off as abuse.

Also I dislike how the Author handles relationships. First the main character is not in any relationships and I cannot see why any of the women around him would continue to be interested in him.

He seems reluctant to start a relationship but for no apparent reason. He has no hope or goal of returning back to his world he came from, and has no memory of his previous life so like it could be something where he had one true love and he doesn't really want to be with anyone else but that isn't an option because he has no memory and he doesn't act like that.

the Author has given no reason for him to be hung up on this and so it comes off as the normal teenage harem protag except that he is supposed to have lived a full life and so this shouldn't be a concern it just doesn't fit.

I know I am ragging on this a lot but mostly I am just disappointed it seemed like maybe the main character was going to mellow out and that the romantic relationships wouldn't be an issue because he would be more mature but instead we just get a guy who is a d all the time and to everyone. And somehow I don't enjoy reading about that. <<less

This novel is incredibly boring, but for some reason I don't hate it. There is very little action going on and most of the time the focus is on daily life. I can't really say that there are relationship development as the focus is mainly on MC himself. Also there are some nice moment with regards to relationships. Also, I don't feel comedy part of this novel. There are few funny places, but most of the time it doesn't even prompt a smile

One thing that is irritating, but for some... more>> reason is not super hateful probably because it is super slow, is that MC originally is portrayed as smart, but as he goes on, he becomes dumber and overlook some obvious things or makes s*upid assumptions. He also shows naive and careless attitude as novel progresses. Also it is not the degree of hate, it is just mild irritation as it does not seem to actually influence the story that much.

Spoiler

1) When assassins attacked his home and the fairy killed them all, he thinks that they all left by themselves after she asked them politely because she said "they all left". Even though right before that she told him there are assassins and no one will miss them when they are gone and locked him in the room while she was killing them. For real? Mentality of 5 year old from 94 year old.

2) When he increases his mana to ridiculous amount, and people are telling him "wtf, your amount of mana is 10 times normal magician should have", he still thinks that he does not have that much mana. He also thinks that he is average in strength even though he is OP and that everyone around him should be the same. If he just looks at people around him, he can realize what kind of freak he is, and yet he does not.

3) His sword. Not only he trades a higher level artifact sword for the lower level artifact katana, he does not even freaking suspect anything. When his katana starts to perform above normal sword, he does not investigate it at all and just chills out still thinking it is a normal sword.

[collapse]

There is also a ton of inner thoughts of everyone. There are chapters upon chapters of nothing but inner thoughts. All of the action is very short.

Overall the story is super boring, but can be a light read if you skip boring parts. Because this story does not stir up hate, I give it 4 stars since it did not produce a feeling of wanting to just stop reading, nevertheless it is very boring overall. <<less
