Good fanfic.

Cons: MC cheat not OP enough.

Powerful ninjutsu / bloodline got low chance to copy successfully. Also if successful only get a fraction like 1/9, need successful 9 more times. Author make MC try a few months before getting powerful ninjutsu and bloodline. Drag so long.

allowing him to absorb jutsus from other people, with a certain probability of faillure, depending on the difficulty of the skill, and how close/friendly the target is with the MC (unless it's an innate ability or a kekkei Genkai, for which rules are different, more random). So the MC won't learn S rank jutsu right away. The use of the goldenfinger is also limited per day and per person.

So overall the MC is never OP, you'll have to wait until around chapter 500.

What I enjoyed with this novel is the slow growth and slice of life of the MC: he's a bit silly and sly with all the characters but not in an evil way as it is sometimes funny, even when reading the mtl chapters. He is not looking to become a Kage or for world domination, he's more like growing in the shadows while maintening a normal shinobi lifestyle.

The plot starts before the Third Shinobi World War and what we know from the manga and anime changes slowly and progressively in a quite smooth way, but different from the original plot, as the MC grow stronger, but some key events are still happening.

Still, there are some issues after around chapter 500 as the plot is more about schemes between characters than less focused on the growth of the MC, with more filling and more boring parts than in the early chapters. <<less

Really interesting, not OP at point of reading but can see that he is above the average bronze. Interesting concept of growth. Would love to read more of his growth as its interesting enough. The plus side for this is there is updates!! The updates cannot be seen on NU but there are at least an update daily, or if seldom 1 every 2 days.

at first he says it works when he's being taught, and the teacher wants to teach him, then suddenly he can do it whenever, at ch12, when he stole the guys technique by just being near him, even though it hasn't worked in the earlier chapters
