Translator here. My opinion is obviously biased, but I will still say a few words:

As a French, I was skeptical about a Korean author writing about Napoleon. But I was greatly surprised, the author knows really well this historical period: everything that is not fiction is accurate (or almost everything, but I corrected the few small mistakes ;)), and the fictional events are plausible and realist, with the real personalities of the characters and good knowledge on the social, economic and political situations of the different European countries.

This story is... more>> about a different Napoleon who lived in a parallel world where he didn't become Emperor, and suddenly woke up in our world in the middle of the Russian expedition in 1812. How will his personality, knowledge and will influence the future of France and Europe?

The following includes a spoiler about chapter 3 (not a big spoiler as you can easily guess that it will happen)

Spoiler

In my opinion, the travel between the two parallel worlds is mostly a justification for the author to write an answer to the question "What would have happened if Napoleon had renounced to invade Russia midway?"

[collapse]

If you like strategies, military tactics, deceiving tricks and twists, with a light touch of humor, you'll definitely like this story. Smirking when an enemy falls into a trap or holding your breath during an ambush, you'll live this story as you read it :)

If you already have knowledge on this historical period, you'll love seeing the characters evolve in this alternate reality. If you don't know much about it, you'll learn plenty of things as the story progresses and love the characters as well :) <<less

Superb premise with good execution, the characters are not sit there as decoration but actually engage in story,

The story is written with profound knowledge of period and the historical characters act with their custom and act logically.

Must read.

God dammit, how come almost all the good novels with "realistic" reincarnation/isekai ends in the middle while harem "isekai" where the fact that they reincarnated or went to another world doesn't matter whatsoever keeps pumping out thousands of volumes?

Anyway, this was great as long as it lasted, even the translation was great @Alvilda. Hopefully the author changes his/her mind and writes another hundred or so chapters.

So far the story is good because the plot is not confusing, the characters are well explained although I don't like the Russian Empire and the Roman Empire which need not be explained by me.

As a newcomer to alternate history genre, I find the first 30-ish chapters quite taxing with a lot of names to remember and a lot of contexts that the author describes. However, the battles and political maneuvers in this novel is quite realistic and not over-the-top (too revolutionary or influential such as Genius of the French Royal Family), while making readers confident of the protagonist. As of 152, the novel is not fully translated but nearing its end, and the only detail I'm unsatisfied with is the lacking descriptions of... more>> the reform policies and "praise protagonist" chapters, though that's probably a personal thing. <<less
