Ji Yan discovered his wife, who hated him so much that she wished he was dead, had lost her memory after a car crash.

She had changed so much it was like she was a totally different person…

When he goes to work: “Dear, don’t move, I’ll put on your shoes for you.”

When he is having a meal: “Dear, I have made all of your favourite dishes. You have worked hard, so eat up.”

When he finished work: “Dear, you have worked all day. I’ll massage your shoulders and feet.”

Ji Yan: “…”

—————

Tang Tang got pushed into the pond by her step sister who frequently bullied her.

She thought she would meet her dead mother but, who knew, when she opened her eyes again, she was in a strange place.

But what made her happy was that she had a super handsome husband and a very cute son.

The most important thing was that her husband was good.

He was a hero who protects the country, and earns money to support her and their son.

Also, he only has her as his wife, he didn’t have any concubines whatsoever.

Tang Tang decided she should be submissive to her husband, to be a good wife and a loving mother.

Her nanny no longer needed to worry about her not being able to get married anymore!

My thoughts after reading the first few chapters: Damn, that caretaker should know her place. If the MC was not a good person, shouldn't she be more scared than to act presumptuous? Annoying. At least she was gone early on. Note that there are some illogical or barely explained things in the start which may put off some people. If you can try and make sense or brush through it, the story is pretty good. MC is a woman who transmigrated from ancient China to the modern world. She was... more>> basically a forgotten daughter in her past life so she was not as scheming as one might expect. She is a simple girl who was basically left to grow up alone in her courtyard with a nanny. She's very pure and virtuous. It's amazing how fast she was able to adapt to the modern world though. The person her soul transmigrated to was not a good wife or mother so people treated her the way she should be expected to be treated at first. MC came from ancient China, so her way of thinking is still from the past--that women should care for their husbands, etc. It's nice to see that she is open to the changes in modern China, such as women being successful as men, or even more successful.

MC is a very kind and virtuous woman from ancient China, so she really takes care of her husband. Her husband was indifferent, but seeing as how she is taking care of him and his son, he finally warms up to her. Again, please note that MC grew up in ancient China so she is different from the modern woman and knows her limits, but she still tries to adapt. It's a nice romance novel with a doting child and husband. <<less

Sweet story! MC is so cute - for a change, MC transmigrated from an ancient world to the modern one. It takes a while to slowly navigate the modern world, with the help of cute little bun! Of course, the bun is, as usual, a genius, able to do difficult multiplications in his mind... And his 'girlfriend' is even more of a genius!!

MC-ML interactions are cute. For an ancient woman, husband and children are before her, and her attitude (so different from her before) initially attracts ML to her and... more>> then he starts caring for her and spoiling her.

The side characters are interesting too, but still feel such a precocious baby makes the parent-child interactions too fake... <<less

This is actually a very cute fluffy story. Suitable for light reading as there is not much conflict (in 1 chapter a potential rival even just becomes irrelevant to the story & other characters lol). What it has the most at least at this point, is the cuteness between mom & son relationship.

I know some have issue with her previous ... more>>

My advice if you just want an easy, light, feel good story to pass time this is actually a good pickup. If you have a much higher expectation then maybe this won't suit you. <<less

definitely a must read. The story was written realistically; MC didn't have low self esteem despite having some insecurities, but her concubine-born past life really did shape her personality (in a good, motherly way). ML and cute fat son are really lucky hahaha

A very heartwarming story. Some parts are kind of tragic and then have a happy endings. You will be eating a lot of dog food along the way, but it is worth it.

Full of Fluff. I love the children in the story - especially the extra bits at the end :) At the start, the story is a bit confusing and illogical (MC is from ancient times, but she reads transmigration stories), but if you just want a satisfying read with no plot twists and extra drama, this one would be good for you.

It is also short, so perfect for a day of binge reading.

Definitely to my taste. I do love a caring spouse no matter the gender and reading about the enthusiastic response to her cooking is such a joy. Fun story! I adore her sweet, quiet, calm perseverance. I do wonder how her ability to read and recognize simplified characters and the like went but I'm cool with suspending my belief. Hehehe. I hope others will enjoy this wonderful story!

The female lead is pretty cute I have to admit. This is one out of three that I know that a person transmigrate into a mother and it's definitely a good read.

I don't have very much to share except that I agree with sweet_nothing's review.

It's really hard for me to think positively of any of the characters who knew the original Tang Tang. Every single one of them failed her in every way.

The male lead stinks. ... more>>
Spoiler

we learn that Tang Tang at her lowest point marries him to get revenge on her family that abandoned her and he tells her that he has no power to help her. The man watches this poor girl, WHO IS HIS F****** WIFE, THE MOTHER OF HIS CHILDREN spiral until she is skin and bones and a violent alcoholic and doesn't try to get her help not once. Actually, he doesn't watch anything since he was barely ever around and just sent money that was clearly being used to keep up her alcoholic lifestyle. Then we find out towards the last couple of chapters that HE F****** LIED AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. He could have helped if he wanted to he chose not to. AHHHHHHHHH.

Tang Tang was failed by her birth mother (mentally abused her actual daughter while loving the kidnapper's child), birth father (a mental abuser who kicked out his child who clearly needed help), kidnapper mother (who took this poor child, and couldn't even treat her with common decency, mentally abused her, physically abused her, then tried to sell her off before she could go to college for money), kidnapper father (mentally and physically abused the poor girl), and her husband (watched his poor girl who needed help spiral until no one could recognize her, basically used to give birth to his child, GARBAGE husband). All of these people saw she clearly needed mental and physical help but they all passed the buck basically saying not my problem. They all suck.

Also don't get too interested in any storylines because a lot of them are left to the wind.
Spoiler

The FL started an online clothing store that I was actually interested in (I wanted to see how it would go) but it went nowhere. Wanted to see what happened with the neighbor across the street... that went nowhere. Wanted to see more of the grandmother... that went nowhere. Wanted to see more of the ML grandmother's son... that went nowhere. Just seemed like so many possibly interesting storylines went nowhere.

[collapse]

Spoiler

Also, we learned that the OG Tang Tang died in the car accident from the first chapter. She gets no funeral or anything from anyone in her world, including her own son. He never finds out that his actual mother is dead. That really bothered me.

[collapse]

And another thing, the writer has this weird obsession of reminding every character and the readers that apparently the FL is ugly. It seems like every single chapter had to mention it, and every character had to mention it more than once. We couldn't meet a new character without them mentioning that she was ugly but pretty on the inside. Just when you think it will be the last time, characters that we have to meet before that know the FL feel this weird need to bring it up again IN FRONT OF HER... TO HER FACE.

The 2 translator groups do a pretty good job so there was that.

2.5 stars is truly the best I could give this story. Good luck if you decide to give this a read. <<less

Ch 1-40 is so loveable and I enjoyed it

Afterwards, I lost the enjoyment. It's fluff story. If you search for light reading, I would recommend you this one. Unfortunately, there are many plot holes. Such as how TangTang and Jiyan could married and TangTang's past also I find it a bit unfair for original TangTang. She suffered a lot I just wish if this story would be TangTang time travel to the past. But, I like this kind of FL that transmigrated from past to Modern.

Would be better if Tang... more>> Family and Shi Yue got ruined I thought. <<less

It was an easy read and you can't help but get pulled in it. Interesting plot but there are scenes a rational person would not react or think like the character in this novel but hey I guess it covers hole of the plot. Although, I think there was a scene in the plot that was not addressed/forgotten. It stayed in my mind while I was reading it and by the time I finish reading it seeems like it was just forgotten.

All in all it was a fun read.

good, not extraordinary but it catches your attention. Don't have that much drama and the reversal on the transmigration is refreshing.

Up until now, I still feel a little complicated. I mean, this is not the first time I've read an ancient person coming to the modern world, however, those FLs were either a regent or an empress. In short, they are not like Tang Tang who was taught to be submissive to her husband. And honestly, I never like an FL like Tang Tang. She's shy, introverted, submissive, and dependent to her man. I kinda understand that her character was like that because of where she came from plus the... more>> teachings of her nanny were engraved in her bones. But to say that I hate her, not really. In fact, I have a mixed feeling for her. I am indeed fonder of career women, but I also quite admire those housewives, especially someone as meticulous as Tang Tang. But as a modern woman, although I have no problems with being a housewife, I still disagree with being dependent to your husband and treating him like your lifeblood. Regardless of gender, I think it's still important for us to not treat our partners us our lives, they may be a huge part of our lives, but they can't be the sole reason for us to live. Anyway, my ratings for Tang Tang's character design is 6/10.

Now, regarding about the ML, he's also not that bad. And just like he said, the type of his love is calm, not as strong or vigorous as others. But it can also be seen that he's quite sincere with the FL. He accepted her flaws and protect her short comings.

As for the plot, well, there's not much going on aside from family conflicts. Actually, aside from that rotten peach blossom of the ML, all conflicts were more or less family conflicts. But perhaps, the author also wants to emphasize the difference between career women and housewives, and how there's more discrimination against the latter. Maybe the author wants to say that women can be whoever they are. And being a housewife is as tiring as being a career woman so there's no need to view the former in a negative light. Meanwhile, being a career woman doesn't mean that she's not a good wife. It's basically the same. Marrying someone depends on feelings and characters, not on their careers.

Overall, it's quite good, just that, the FL isn't my cup of tea. I mean, I expected some changes on her but until the end, there's none. The translation is not bad, aside from some mistranslated pronouns, everything is quite good. It's 8/10 for me. <<less

It was a fun read. So many cliches and things but still, I love reading it. I love the characters. The FL and ML, I love the interactions between the characters. I love the cute kids, they got me a wishful thinking that one day I’ll have someone as cute as them :)

Anyway, i’d say I recommend this. Thank you for the author and the translation team~

A very good book to read in one sitting. Although the character three points of view will make you feel uncomfortable, but you can't fully blame her because she is an ancient product which means virtuous deeds had already deep seated in her bone. You can only blame the ML luck.

I kinda like the son. I think he was portrayed quite realistic. A lil bit mischievious just like any other child. He is smart borderline genius but doesn't act like an adult unlike some of other novel.

There's so much sweetness and warmth in this story. There are no unnecessary conflicts and no draggy scenes. I really like the characters, especially the main leads and their son. Will definitely read this again.

This is very interesting, because we can see a MC with antiques ideas in the modern world. I like how she tries to change her mind.
