From the age of 7, Qiao Qiao realised that her family wasn’t quite the same as her friends’ families.

Her father, dressed in all white, said, “Our girl should learn to cultivate immortality with me!”

Her mother, dressed in battle armor, said, “Our girl should train her body to protect herself!”

When discussing it, they decided to solve it with a duel outside.

Her brother secretly asked, “Qiao Qiao, do you want to be in the entertainment industry with me?”

Then, her brother was kicked out of the house by her parents. She prayed that he was okay out there. 

Qiao Qiao sighed. She was really worried about this family.

She silently collected mech building materials. There was no other way, if she learned how to use mechs, she would be able to get a good job. Unfortunately, her unreliable parents didn’t understand.

It seems like the burden of supporting this family was handed over to her.

This is a kind of refreshing sprite for everyone (in protagonist's camp) story. Vibes are similar to author's another work, about an ancient sect transmigrating into interstellar, but also because the protagonist here is really small, it feels like a good read for young teenagers.

A lighthearted read about a baby growing up in an extraordinary family. Although the family isn't into dark and morbid aesthetic, it feels like they would be good neighbors with Addams family 😂 They kinda have similar family values, lol.

This book feels like a snack—good for... more>> comfortably passing the time, so if you're searching for something light, funny and with unreasonably overpowered, but yet lovable characters, you might want to pick this up. <<less

Novel only recommended to skim.

Novel is about MC Mary Sue cute Qiao Qiao being cute and dealing with her confusing Overpowered family! Her family is a super handsome immortal cultivator, her mother is a hot beast tamer warrior, and her older brother is a salted fish modern earth superstar.

Poor MC has strange parents and a brother who haven’t let MC go to school and make her worry about family’s finances. While initially appearing to be homeless incompetent losers, they are actually all big bosses in their own rights! (Well except salted fish lazy loser older brother). MC makes new friends (the Empire’s crybaby prince and the Federation Marshal’s son, becomes a mecha expert, defeats star thieves, and even becomes a big Federation entertainment Star all on the quest to make money for her jobless poor family!

Mecha League - Arc 2

MC goes to the Mecha League to make money! Sadly she loses round 1, but then finds some people to help her and her brother joins! They terrorize the other players and then represent the Federation for the Mecha league, a joint competition between Federation and Empire! MC and her brother carry the useless federation losers to crush the Empire and also the pesky star thieves who were lurking to subvert the empire itself by killing the emperor! Mc’s OP parents resolve everything.

The main immediate issue with the novel is that Arc 2 ends and then so does the novel. It’s a an extremely unsatisfying rushed ending where the story just ends. The second big issue is the huge lack of payoff for a number of open ended questions over the course of the whole novel:

Does MC grow up? Is her mental level ever retested for above Ss rank? Does she ever do anything after turning 8? What about her family? Do they continue tourism? How does the new situation of the Federation and Empire continue along with new planet Subterranean people go? What about her new pet Star beast? Does cultivation become more mainstream? Does the federation or empire ever domesticate star beasts? What happens to Mc’s remote B planet? Is there more tourism? What happens to her friends? Etc etc.

You can only imagine. So much possibility and so little payoff during the whole storyline.

Basically novel is a one or two out of ten at best. Most of the jokes are surface level funny, but there’s not much of substance here. Author likes to bring up ideas as a joke but never continue to talk about the consequences of MC interactions with the world, especially with how innovative and improved she was as a mecha designer. It’s basically a weak novel with just a hint of the heartwarming and interesting elements showing up. Disappointing overall. <<less

This is one of my favorite novels. It's a combination of comedy, cultivation, western fantasy, entertainment industry, interstellar, mecha, infrastructure, pets, slice of life, childcare and some romance. This is good for a light read.

Pros :

More about family rather than love. It's a unique family that love MC. Each of them have their own past.

ML is soo good. He's not a big focus of the story but somehow he could capture our heart through his understanding character. Like he really cares about MC and accept MC's family fully. You'll fall for ML in the last ep.

Quite easy to mtl.

Don't actually have any complain. You should definitely give this a shot. Will probably re read this in the future
