Dropped it as I don't like this kind of MC, many might find it cute but I find it hard to bear and annoying. It reminds me of the MC from Don't You Like Me. I saw some reviews on how this is a good novel as it dives down and touch the emotional part as well, such as trauma etc, that seems interesting, but unfortunately I didn't reach that portion and I can't get past Chapter 7.

So I'm not giving it a rating since I didn't finish the novel.... more>> Who knows I might pick it up if I feel like it in the future. <<less

I quite liked this, its very very fluffy, the amount of dog food this gave me is insane! If you want a slow romance then you should watch this, but keep in mind that they act like husband and husband even when they aren't dating! I personally wanted to know more about the other characters, of course I liked the main characters but damnnnn I love his frienddsssss. They're so sweet. My personal favourite is Lou Shen and Wei Jiayu. I wanted to know more about them. Omg I also... more>> would've loved it if they added a scene of all 7 friends having a lunch and the public finding out. It would be hilarious when the public finds out they've known each other for more than 10 years. <<less

I don't get why many of the reviews say that there are plotholes and that the novel is bad. But this novel is really really beautiful. Like really beautiful. If you read it carefully, you'll understand many things, and it'll become a roller coaster of feels, yep. MC and ML love one another for their personality and temperament and not because of materialistic reasons or because of their appearances, which is quite beautiful. The chemistry between them is very apparent; like literally there were many parts where the MC didn't... more>> think too much about his heart going ba-dump (I mean it's normal right if you've never loved someone else before - excluding parents and relatives). ML is always, always showering MC with love, like he was also doing that before they got together, so so sweet, so sickeningly sweet. Therefore, very cute, very fluffy! Very very cute and very very fluffy, yep.

And the character interactions, oh man, it's so funny. Blue-haired kid is the best. There were also many parts that demonstrated the friendship between MC and his roommates + classmates, and those parts were very very funny (except for one specific arc/part). The personalities of the MC, ML, and other characters were pretty developed, the backstory just makes understanding the characters even better.

The drama, I guess you can call it that, was very sad and painful. Like tears were shed. But the healing process was there. MC is there for the ML, and ML is there for the MC. They really are made for each other!!!!

Ahhh overall, it was 3 cups sickeningly sweet sugar, 1/2 cups bitterness, and 1/2 cups comedy, where the sugar can be replaced with dog food. It really is a must read! <<less

This was as good as "Don't you like me?" The story was pretty enjoyable and I would probably liked to reread it.

If you guys like CP with past trauma for exm: MC with severe PTSD, some angst, Shy ton of dog food and good friends, good scjoo slice of life then I highly recommend this

Story was pretty straightforward (like I don't have to think the type of story to read when you feel like "I just wanna enjoy some easy BL" kind of story when you don't know what... more>> else to read Because plots ya kno 😀) and was quite funny to read like the interaction between MC and ML for exm, MC and his d- I meant comrade Da Qiao and also ML best bro being very done with them but also very supporting

Besides that my favourite part of the story has to be the friend group tho 😂 like damn everyone became so successful and the extra was cute to read 😩.

With honourable mention beings:

-Chen Su (i love you 😩) the mom? Caretaker the dude with glasses who looks cold but pre nice

- Wei jiu a good dog? A good bro. But also a Slight tsundere sometimes and funny 😂

- song yixu (the husky) and Jie kai (the caretaker) but also a slight Baka A and Baka B

- Lou xiao/Mr slight done with everything someone pls give him glasses and tell him to stop smoking like his life depends on it but also very supportive best dude

- and the two girls who smh always manages to catch the CP 🥰

The story was overall super sweet (like I could vomit and pre active) and loved how the development of the cp <<less

It’s good and has a lot of heartwarming moments but I can’t give it 5 stars because the writing was very immature.

It started off better than it ended, it honestly felt like the author got tired of writing so much and so they kept everything short and stopped including important characters and plot points for the sake of churning out chapters.

I also wish there was more on the side characters, they were introduced really well and they're interesting, each with their own story to tell, but we never get anything... more>> other than a few lines of how they’ve gotten over their past and are doing fine now.

MC’s trauma reveal and entire healing process, although it hit hard and made me cry, was also lacking, it happened suddenly and basically all because of “the power of love.” Super unrealistic in the depictions regarding his healing and all interactions with his psychiatrist (which should have been a psychologist if we’re getting technical) and MC’s father’s trauma was glossed over super fast as well.

It just could have been so much better than it was, the decline in writing quality is pretty obvious, but if you like the characters enough then I would say it’s worth a shot. For me though, it wasn’t anything special and I wouldn’t read it again. <<less

This one is also obviously a five-star. After all, if I do not find the story satisfactory for me I respectfully refrain from reviewing it.

Anyway talking about MUSDNAC, it is a very soul full piece with youthful innocence, familial love, familial problems, trauma, and unconditional love is portrayed.

He Shen and Qiao Shao had to go through so much, yet in the end, as the saying goes, bitterness, in the beginning, does bring endless sweetness later.

Overall it was a very very fulfilling story for me.

I'm speechless that I cant describe how amazing this novel is. I just can't. You'll have to read it to find out what exactly I feel and just be amazed.

oh my gooooood!!! This story is so good a have a lot of fluffy moments. Aside from the non-existent smexy scenes (just only behind the scenes TT), the plot and the drama is very-well written and portrayed I even cried on the mother backstories parts of the two main characters TT.

Though I wished for ChenSu and WeiJiaYu to be a couple though O3O

I think this is the story you read when you don't want to think (I dont mean it in a bad way). Just enjoy the moments, don't pay attention to plot hole/deeper development, no reality, its all sweet fluffy fluffy fantasy. A light story. I read it until 45ish, then its too much sweet for me so I skip to 65, then 85, then 105. Just want to see the progress, if its HE. It is adorable, but too.. Hmm, too perfect for me? Too cute, too rich, too smart,... more>> etc. But the translation is very good, kudos to translators! <<less

fluff... cute and adorable... fluffy read to make you feel better. mental problems are accurately described in this novel. MC was cute and his family was really good. ML was doting kind but not like yandere... all in all a good read

It's a wonderful read I would recommend to anyone who needs a break from life. It's rather light and fluffy even though it covers some dark and heady topics. Very healing and happy and I wish I could get amnesia to fall into the honey all over again.

A nice and light read to pass time. There's not much of a drama here but the story is full of misunderstandings!

MC's past problem is interesting which kept me from binge reading this. Even though I don't really love this story, but I have to defend MC from some reviews. Yup! MC lies because of his background but if you understand the plot and every word in the story, it is a very understandable white lie, which leads to a lot of misunderstandings and story became interesting and funny. ML... more>> on the other hand is sweet and caring from the start to end. The other characters are actually as interesting as the main characters, they are very cute! Villains are meh.

The timeline and some minor details is kinda messed up but it's no big deal. So I recommend this ? <<less

Great story loved it. Brilliant translation. Really cute novel but also filled with a heartbreaking past. Filled with a lot of comedy and fluff. Great chemistry between characters. I love how his dad is with everything its so funny and cute.

Honestly, a very satisfying read. If you're looking for something that is sweet and light hearted with a sprinkle of angst with HE this is recommended for you.

He Shen and Qiao Shao are such a lovey dovey and sweet couple. It's nice to see a nice read that's fulfilling towards the heart with heavy themes that aren't overbearing to its readers.

It's a tad bit unrealistic. But then again this is a fiction novel so it's not supposed to be 100% grounded towards reality.

5/5 would read again in the future. If... more>> you are overwhelmed by other danmei/bl novels that are filled with drama and angst- this could be a nice change. The ending of the novel is certain and sweet. Even though its quite heavy on its theme, it's not super angsty. The angst is very well balanced with the fluff that really makes your heart go soft all over.

It focuses more on angst on mental and family issues, and how ML and MC recovered from it and find solace (and love) in each other.

Overall I think that you should try and read this novel. For people who love to see a couple filled with love and sweetness towards one another, this is highly recommended for you. <<less

This novel for me is gold... I've waited for this for how many months to be completed and it was worth it!

Despite the traumatic experience of MC and ML, they became a healing and a breather to each other... One of the best! ♥️

There's quite a bit of misunderstandings (luckily no big falling out over it) but overall a very sweet story. There's some dealing with mental health issue that's gently handled but not overly angsty so still very sweet and light. I like the fluffiness and school setting. A very nice read apart from all the plotting, backstabbing books I've been reading lately.

The side characters are genuinely funny and nice too. I especially love the supporting family MC has. And it has a very nicely wrapped up HE for everyone.

Only sad... more>> thing is there's no side CP so don't go shipping any of those side characters. <<less

This story is cute but it has its moments of angst. The summary is a bit misleading in that sense. Both the MC and ML suffered early on in life and that led to them having to deal with psychological trauma.

Spoiler

Qiao Shao was kidnapped when he was 10/11 and held captive for a year. He regressed in behavior and had a hard time coping with it. Because of this he missed school for a year and was delayed.


He Shen's trauma was due to his family. He has eidetic memory and his family, mainly grandpa, forced him to learn and review books so that he can free his mom from being held captive in the house. But his mom committed su*cide.

Qiao Shao has a very supportive family but He Shen does not. They have to battle their psychological trauma and heal through the power of love. It's not as sappy or corny as it sounds though. Very realistic and heart warming. It's a really good read.

It's such a nice, beautiful story. It was so sweet and it was so emotional too....

The Qiao family and the friends are the best!!!

Truly He shan and Qiao shao are made for each other❤ They healed each other's wounds and worries.
