Upon meeting the girl who would become her adopted younger sister, the duke’s daughter Christina regained memories of her previous life. Through those memories, she learned that her new sister, Mishuli, was the heroine of a certain story. And though the story depicted a Christina who abused her sister, the real Christina turned into a siscon who spoiled Mishuli to no end.

Unfortunately, one day, Christina realized something. The best future for Mishuli depended on that story’s ending. And by following that story, whether it was execution, su*cide, or exile, nothing fortunate would await Christina.

Even knowing this, Christina would not waver.

It was all for the sake of her sister.

This is a story about a siscon girl who ignored her own destiny, to bring happiness to her sister.

I am disappointed. I don't understand why people liked the sisters so much or said the story was fluffy. Most of the side characters were far better than the main characters.

It just seems like a story about a narcissistic sis-con who couldn't use the intellect she was so proud of. I didn't understand or care for the relationship between most of the characters because they were shallow and inconsistent.

The story seemed like it would be great but it didn't follow through. It was rushed and kept veering off plot constantly.... more>> All the interesting things were completely skipped over. The whole point of the story was handled without any explanation whatsoever after the last chapter. We literally didn't know anything until the epilogue which didn't clear up any questions. I thought I would like it if I kept reading but I just wish I hadn't wasted my time.

This could have been implemented far better and had better characters. It seems like the author got bored and wanted to be done with the story. And the whole sis-con thing was completely overdone. <<less

For a web novel, the quality is truly truly very good. Translator, thank you very much for picking up this novel. The quality seem just like from a light novel. Character development, story flow, it was a very satisfy read.

The story focus around the sisterly bond of the MC and the otome heroine. There is romance, but like 3rd or 4th rank only. Not a lot of side characters, so each of them is quite distinct and memorable. The story flow is can seem to be slow, like 70% (84... more>> chapters) before the academic start. The first 70% was very heart warming and comedic. Then the real thing starts.

I found this novel through LightNovelsTranslation group other project, for a light and heart warming read in mean time. But sticking through each chapter for how exciting their was. The novel seem to has a conclusive ending, unlike mostly other novel ragging on and become difficult to catch up with. <<less

This novel is great. It's amazing.

It starts off slow. Fluff rom-com, and honestly not that different from other otome game reincarnation novels for the first 80 chapters.

It's written well, though, and Michelie and Christina's interactions, while repetitive, never fail to trigger my inner diabetes. Worth the read as a fluff SoL, similar to Loner and Juliet and Reincarnated as My Little Sister.

Now, if you've made it to c80, the story truly starts getting good. It changes from a fluff SoL to a masterpiece of feels that equals the works of... more>> Jun Maeda. The previous 80 chapters of fluff build up to this point, and you will agree with me that My Sister the Heroine is the absolute best novel in its genre. <<less

Great read. Supper fluffy with nice well rounded characters. Only complaint is that it lost direction halfway and felt short.

If you liked Bakarina you'll like this. The supporting characters are certainly more interesting in comparison and the MC is a loveable idiot as one would expect.

Except for 2-3 chapters near the beginning translated by someone else, the translation is very decent, though few mistakes exist here and there. Thanks translator.

TL;DR : Not recommended, very unsatisfying.

Very light spoilers below, about the type of story it is, no particular events are discussed:

... more>> The story starts very well and is quite cute. We have exaggerated sisterly love and a comptent, arrogant and happy-go-lucky kind of a main charcter. It is fun and fine.

Then things become... very unsatifying. The author decided to do two year time skips for each arc, but rather of doing them between problems encounterd by the charcters, the time skips are over the problematic period and we just see the the problem, time skip,

solution. So there would be some silly issue with the MC and one or more of the cast, and we then skip two years forward to the MC doing nothing productive in those two years and the issue remaining unresolved for all that time and everyone suffering. It is both unreasonable and annoying. You will low key rage.

I will demonstrate:

a. Two roomates can't agree on who should throw away the tr*sh.

b. Skip two years.

c. The flat is now floor to ceiling filled with tr*sh, dead cats and cholera. The roomates decide to finally face the situation and immeditely agree on an odd/even day arrangement.

Basically like that, I swear.

Worse, every time skip, the MC become less and less comptent. For some reason she is adored by everyone, but she acts like an idiot and in complete contradiction to her previously established character. The main arc of the story is the worst one. The MC is basically useless and is being led around by everyone.

The relationship with the sister definitely goes into the creepy area sometimes, but this isn't even one of the major issues.

The story actually hardly even belongs in the "Otome game" genre. All the political intrigue and awareness of future events and using them for your own advantage or revenge are missing from the story. They might happen after the epilouge.

Just ranting now :

Spoiler
    • I don't get the father character. Does he not understand that his daughter will truly hate him if he goes through with this, I don't understand how his usual mushy behaviour goes along with that suicidal mercilessness? She will have the power and probably will to ruin him later. This whole part just doesn't mesh with the story.
    • Why did the father even tell the MC about his plans several years in advance ?
That makes no sense, what was there to gain ? Did he want to see her suffer and attempt self ruin ? She could also poison him and solve the problem for example. She could tell her sister, and the sister would have defnitely poisioned him...
    • How is not sending one person to a nunnery related to the toppling of aristocracy ? I'm not pro-aristorcacy, but those things are mostly unrealted. It is like wanting to solve the problem of one particular orphan and insisting on solving world hunger while at it. Admirable sure, but completely insane.

It was an okay read, I didn't find the interest to read the novel seriously so I just skipped between chapters. It clearly has sister complex and I'm disappointed with the ending

The protagonist's sister progressively goes from cutely clingy to creepily obsessive, while the protagonist goes from cutely caring to destructively addicted.

At around chapter 79, things begin to take a huge dive from lighthearted to melancholy.

Spoiler

Despite everyone's clear warning signs, the protagonist continually is completely addicted to and vehemently believing in the angel-like quality of her sister.

The ending was rather anti-climatic for the tension the author had built up, but it would be rather difficult with the stakes that were raised, I suppose.

In terms of the ending, nothing really changes. The status quo goes back to the way it was, with no one having learned any valuable lesson. <<less

I really enjoyed this novel, it was cute and sweet. The story is short and passes time pleasantly. I love the MC just like a villain she is full of herself but that is part of her charm and the way she adores her sister and puts her before herself is sweet. I rate it 5 stars. The translation was clear and I had no trouble understanding.
